Came in 5 am today Counters had dirty plastic buckets of gunk on them on front of us and there were piles of dirty dishes on counters. The staff was very quiet when we came inside almost like we were interrupting something. Took at least 5 minutes to get one of 6 people to acknowledge us at the bar stools mind you. We were the only people in the place. The girl who brought us napkins and silverware was clearly high or something because her eyes were barely open and her hygiene was poor. We ordered ok and coffee and observed the disgusting floor and counters and decided to leave. Won't be back. I ate there today. I stood there for about 10 minutes waiting for them to clean a table so that I could sit. All the staff were throwing a blind eye at the dirty tables. I sat down on one table that didn't have dirty plates, but the table was dirty. I cleaned the table myself, with napkins. The staff acted like that was normal for them. The flies were horrible! Greasy floors, and just a filthy place. I wish I would have brought a putty knife to be able to eat the thick grout gravy on my biscuit. I didn't eat it, but I'm sure the flies enjoyed it. I should have left when I had the chance, and that was my fault. I am just trying to warn everyone about this Waffle House. If you do decide to eat there, bring your own fly swatted and towel to clean your table. read more

My team and I were in Dallas for the weekend upon us leaving we stopped at the Icon eatery, I can remember it was freezing cold out and all we wanted was a good, warm meal before we hit the road from Dallas back to San Antonio. I ordered my usual, sausage brkfast sandwich with cheese on Texas toast with cheese grits. We ate, played tunes on the Jukebox and took in the essence of the small diner, waffle house just makes you feel good. Its comfort food at its finest. No complaints here. I enjoyed my food and the customer service was splendid. I rate my waffle house experience 5 out of 5 stars, good customer service and even better food. Waffle House makes the only kind of waffle I'll actually have with HOT syrup. It's stupid as hell that I can buy a rifle at 18yrs old but I can't order HOT syrup. The manager didn't even say anything about it beyond a head shake. I miss my old Waffle House 10/10. So the manager thinks the hot syrup is a no go, but the waiter can pour my coffee by literally sitting the funnel into my half full cup. Yes that coffee pot now has MY germs all up on it. Pretty wack lol someone show this kid how to pour without dunking the entire pot into my cup. Side note: they also touched up on the silverware bare handed and had their masks covering their chins? When I need breakfast, Waffle House is always there. MY favorite is the hashbrown bowl with chili, ham and three over easy eggs on top. A cup of coffee, orange juice and I'm good to go. I came here for a quick meal while heading home for breakfast and although i enjoy it, there was some issues. First I'll like to say that it was super affordable and the meal came out almost right away after ordering. It's also nice that you can see your food made if you sit on the front. The server was also nice to us and was attentive. Unfortunately, the place looked really dirty. The floor was filthy and sticky that every time i made a step, you could hear it. The window i was next to had a couple of greasy hand prints on it as well. I don't even know if they sprayed the table with disinfectant, I just saw a wet rag being used to clean our table and chairs. Although the food was out quick, it felt rushed since the hash browns weren't all crispy and the sunny side up's felt a little undercooked. I still should say that I did enjoy the meal and felt like it could have been better if at least they kept up with the place. If they're having trouble cleaning the floors, windows and tables, how can you be sure they're taking any precautions with COVID. read more

I didnt want to make a scene by leaving without giving it a chance, since the person i was with still wanted to eat there. So I ordered. The food was decent, but I was too grossed out to eat because of the environment. Big bug on the counter (may have been a cockroach, but he ran too fast for me to tell). Love this particular location. The staff is extremely friendly and treat my child wonderfully. My child was getting upset and staff came over and gave her some crayons and coloring pages to calm her down. My child also wanted an apple juice she spotted and the staff handed her one. I have been a customer of WH since 1972, most of their restaurants are clean with good staff. I have tried to eat at this restaurant over the past 3 years but find myself driving past and out of the way to the next closest WH on I-35 because this one has been below standard in every way over the past 3 years I have tried it.
