The coffee was fresh and hot and tasty. No complaints. I had breakfast but if the lunch is half as good then you won't be disappointed. Prices were reasonable for what I got. Be aware, it is a small place and it's good so they are busy. It was crowded but the tables were turning quickly and I didn't have to wait long. The ladies working were all very friendly and were trying hard to accommodate everyone. They don't have any 2-top tables or a counter so I ended up sharing a larger table with some folks who sat at the other end. Not a problem for me, but some people don't like that. It's tucked into a small shopping strip in plain view of the road but still you might miss it driving by. Parking was easy even though they were busy. I am looking forward to going back to try some different menu items. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend asking for her! The menu made choosing difficult because everything sounded delicious. There were plenty of seafood options, plus several great choices for our daughter who doesn't eat seafood. She ordered the grilled chicken entrée and fried mozzarella sticks and gave both a big thumbs up. My husband had the BBQ shrimp with an ah-maze-ing sauce that absolutely stole the show. We dipped everything in it--the cheddar biscuits, my hushpuppies, and even my fried catfish and soft shell crab. It was so good that I brought the extra sauce home with my leftovers and couldn't wait to eat them later that night... and I'm usually not a leftovers person! Long story short: definitely go, order the seafood, and ask for Emily!

Welcome to the brunch experience of HOLY SHIT, WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?…read moreFirst, abandon all expectations at the door. Service? Excellence? Basic supplies? Those are apparently premium add-ons. Coffee? No problem. Tea? Absolutely. Ketchup? Sure. Hot sauce? Of course. Oh wait. My bad. They're out of all of it. At some point I genuinely started wondering whether the restaurant had recently been looted or whether we had accidentally arrived during the final hours before foreclosure. Carbonated water? Nope. Bloody Mary? Bold of you to assume a bar should know how to make one. Mimosa? Apparently you'll need to get your ass back in the car, drive somewhere that maintains a working relationship with both fruit juice AND champagne, and try again. The bar itself appears to be partially stocked, which somehow makes it worse. It's like looking into a pantry after a hurricane. There are technically objects in there. Whether any of them can be combined into a recognizable beverage remains under investigation. And then there's the customer service. Sweet baby Jesus. The overall atmosphere feels less like brunch and more like I accidentally walked into the middle of a workplace dispute nobody bothered to warn the customers about. Nobody appears to be wearing the same uniform, or possibly any uniform at all, so identifying actual employees becomes its own interactive brunch activity. Last time we came in, a woman in a tracksuit approached us with such confidence that I genuinely had no idea whether she worked there, was another customer, or was about to ask us why we were sitting in her section of Planet Fitness. Turns out it was her first day as the hostess. Of course it was. Honestly, at this point, if someone walked out of the kitchen wearing pajama pants, carrying jumper cables, and announced they were the executive chef, I'd just nod and ask whether the ketchup had arrived yet. Nothing about the place feels coordinated. The drinks aren't coordinated. The staff isn't coordinated. The inventory isn't coordinated. I'm not entirely sure the building itself has been informed that it is currently operating as a restaurant. You don't come here for brunch. You come here for an experience. An experience that begins with, "Surely they have coffee," progresses rapidly into, "How are you out of THAT too?" and ends with you sitting in your car afterward staring silently through the windshield while your passenger whispers: "Let's go to Waffle House" Come hungry. Leave confused. And for the love of God, bring your own ketchup.

While…read moreI didn't expect greatness, I did expect some level of service and maybe even some breakfast. What I received was something all together different. My stay over Memorial Day at the Courtyard in Gulfport was not very pleasant. On the day of check out, I decided to eat in the attached Courtyard Café. My experience there was incredibly bad, and one of my worst dining experiences ever. I must preface this review by explaining that I have eaten at several Courtyard Cafes in multiple locations prior to this experience. They all utilize a similar setup, and up until this trip, have all been consistently good. There is a buffet which usually contains scrambled eggs, biscuits, potatoes, sausage, bacon and assorted pastries. There is also a omelet station, and two waffle irons where you can make your own waffles. Servers work the area with the tables refilling drinks, etc. At least that is how every other location I have visited has done it. This location was horrible for many reasons. The food, or lack thereof From the time I arrived, to the time I decided I couldn't take it anymore, there were no eggs on the buffet. I expected that they would eventually prepare and deliver more, but after 30-40 minutes of no eggs, I gave up. The waffle station was without batter the majority of the time I was there. They would bring out small batches of batter, but it would disappear almost immediately. The omelet station was overwhelmed. I realize the hotel was at capacity, but the management should have brought in extra staff, or at least been better prepared. There were no drinks or silverware to be found. The coffee dispensers were empty, and there seemed to be no method of ordering regular drinks. A server was slowly bringing out silverware to some tables, but never reached ours. I walked across the restaurant and asked the omelet cook (the only staffer I could find) for silverware. She must've told someone because about 15 minutes later someone brought one set for our entire table. Eventually an employee came up and asked if I was ready to pay. My response was "pay for what? a lack of food and service?" She stared at me blankly, but did only charge me the equivalent of one kid's meal for our entire table. I appreciated the gesture, but regardless of the cost, it was not worth it. I was so bothered by the lack of service that I actually left $0.00 tip which is something I hadn't ever done. I guess there's a first time for everything. In summary, this experience could not have been worse. It was the icing on the cake of a poor overall experience.

We ordered this because my husband had a toothache and needed soft food. Rather than the Angel Hair pasta, it came with undercooked bow tie pasta. The sauce was not good. I assume from the reviews this is a popular and delicious place. This was not true for us. It ranks in the lower 10% of restaurants we've tried while traveling.
