Loved the pulled pork bowl. It was overflowing with buttery smooth grits, tender pulled pork, and with the added egg it was perfection. Their menu is small but somehow offers something for everyone. We waited 20-30 minutes to put an order in on an early Saturday morning ~10am, food was made pretty quick, about 15 minutes. Ample seating inside and outside. Coffee was really good, there was a special menu item, Himalayan cardamom latte, didn't get much of the cardamom flavor but coffee quality was solid. Definitely coming back. Parking lot is kind of tight but there's ample street parking.

Wonderful Coffee Shop. I walked here both mornings from the inn. Super Friendly Staff. Great working space if needed. Lots of delicious options.

There was a line when we walked up but it went quickly and we got our food less than 5 mins after ordering. Avocado toast was good and B&G was excellent. Both portions were generous.

Our food was great! We ordered the bird plate and the chicken and waffles. Coffee was also tasty! The staff were friendly. Seems like a popular place!

    Even the pups love it!

Mockingbird Cafe is one of those places that reminds you why a little wait is always worth it. There's usually a line to the door, and for good reason. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the ingredients are fresh, and the coffee is truly outstanding. Decades of service shine through in how smoothly and efficiently everything runs--even during the busiest moments. You're never rushed, yet everything flows. It's clear this place is built on care, experience, and a whole lot of love for what they do. A local gem that never disappoints.

I have been here several times on my vacation to the area and really enjoy their coffee and their breakfast. Everything always takes so gourmet and the place is a local staple in the area. Should you encounter a long line that you have to patiently wait through, it's worth it. They have a variety of drinks coffee, hot and cold. A various offering under menu for those who may be vegan or just like lighter options. Their jam is the jam so try some on those great biscuits. They have some seating inside but alot outside on all sides of the front. Great for people watching as those golf carts go by. Be back soon...

I am disgusted with the art drawn on my daughters cup. We went in today for matcha lattes and when we got home, we noticed a phallic symbol on my daughter's cup. Today is Christmas Eve, and as I understand Mockingbird to be on the opposite spectrum politically, I never in a million years would have imagined their employees to be so blatantly disrespectful-especially during the birth of our savior. I will ensure my friends and family are made aware of this hilarious "joke".

This place certainly doesn't need another good review, yet here we are! The Focaccia is perfect breakfast after a walk on the beach (we did split because it's very filling). The staff is so fun as well, no judgement on the Irish coffee my weekend had started so why not!

Mockingbird Cafe is a great spot to grab a bite to eat or a tea or coffee to keep you going. After a lot of exploring and shopping in Bay St. Louis, we stopped for a late lunch. The café is in a house converted to café--really cute and casual with seating inside and out. Place your order at the bar and your food is delivered to your table. Service was a bit slow the day we were there, but the veggie Burger I ordered was great. The patty is made in house and was delicious! The lavender tea I ordered was so refreshing with a slight taste/scent of lavendar. I hope I get a chance to eat there again before I leave BSL!

    Dirty chai..yum!

I am shocked that as many times as I've visited Bay St. Louis I had not eaten at the Mockingbird Café, but it is AMAZING! From the original wooden floors, the fun art covered walls, to the delicious food and drinks. I ate there with my husband and son last week. I ordered a dirty chai and the meat breakfast burrito with sriracha mayo and salsa. My husband ordered a macchiato. My son had a scrambled egg and fruit cup. The dirty chai, which is chai tea with espresso is HEAVENLY! The breakfast burrito was stuffed full, fresh, hot, flavorful, and enough for two people. My husband loved that they knew how to make an original macchiato. My son ate everything on his plate without hesitation. The drinks were made within 3 minutes and the food was out in about 6 minutes. It was so delicious that we ate breakfast there two mornings in a row. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++! We will definitely be back.

I LOVE THE MOCKINGBIRD. It is a local staple of Bay St Louis. Friendly service. Great food. Even better coffee! I love their blueberry muffins and my favorite drink is their iced chai latte. They do breakfast and lunch foods- all made to order and their homemade biscuits are YUM!! Everything is made and served with love. I will always make the Mockingbird a stop when I'm home.

I don't frequent traditional art galleries, but Gallery 220 is anything but traditional. It's unique, casual, reasonable and more of a shared space where many different artists can sell their creations. Inside the shop there are six or seven different areas. While all are cool, there are three that stand out to me. The first is immediately to your left when you walk in. That area has art created from metal and wood scraps that Is industrial looking while still having a homemade look to it. The best items there are their magnets with metal hearts affixed to wooden blocks. No two are alike and they are very reasonable. The next area I really like is along the left wall towards the rear of the front room. That area has art that focuses on local sea life. My favorite painting was one of a crab, but it was a little rich for my blood. Last, but most certainly not least is the area in the back room. There you'll find the custom ceramic artist that recreated the facades of local and New Orleans businesses and landmarks. There were famous Nola restaurants like Commanders Palace, all the local cities, and even that bullshit school Jesuit. These ceramic pieces were remarkably accurate and were very reasonable. If you are in downtown BSL, you owe it to yourself to stop here.

The Coca- Cola mural on the side of the building has become iconic, denoting you're in the heart of Bay St. Louis. Art prices are reasonable and allow even a casual collector to find a treasure. My all-time favorite queen artist, Michelle Allee, has a space in here. Check out her work. The multilayer, Bingo cards covered by a semi-sheer Queen/face are stunning. The big, piercing eyes speak to everyone. Give Gallery 220 a look!

We found Denise Hopkins on a wedding website and looked at the Live Wedding Paintings she posted online. We were very impressed with the beautiful works of art she posted, so we booked Denise to Live Paint our wedding reception at the "Messinas" Atrium in New Orleans . From the start, Denise was very responsive with early communications, explaining the process and giving advice on what shape and size would best capture the reception venue. She suggested square (over rectangle), because our venue has a mezzanine and high ceilings. It was great advice. When our wedding day arrived, we finally had an opportunity to meet Denise in person, at our wedding reception where she was set up to create a painting of the celebration. She is a wonderful person! Denise was an absolute hit at our wedding! So many of our guests raved about how great it was to have Denise with us, painting our big night, and interacting with the guests. Some of our guests even took photographs of the painting at different stages, so we could see how the painting progressed through the evening. The final piece of art is exceptionally beautiful! Denise perfectly captured the magical energy of the entire wedding reception. On one canvas, Denise created an art piece that tells the story of our special evening, celebrating our love, while we dance the night away with family and friends. Every time we look at the painting, we are transported back to our wedding reception, and it gives us butterfly's. Huge thank you to Denise, for telling the story of our wedding in such a unique and beautiful way. -Kenny & Luyen
