Went here yesterday. Server was nice. My biggest complaint is that they seem to put more attention on DoorDash orders than customers in the restaurant. Took 40 minutes to get my smash burger and mahi tacos. So if places are gonna make there customers wait that actually go inside over a DoorDash then I see no reason to go any more. Especially in a tourist area. I doubt people from out of town that come here for the experience will enjoy the long waits for their food over DoorDash. Just hire employees to handle DoorDash items so the customers inside will feel appreciated. read more

We have gone there many times and it use to be a lot better, now it is just a tourist trap. The food is way too pricey for the terrible foods they served. The burgers were only average at best and they were the best foods that were served. The seafood bisque, well think Campbells soup with added cheese, some of the grilled oysters were grilled, some were raw (5), the seafood pasta, just really bad. Not to mention that none the f the food came out at the same time. I could go on but take my word for it, except for the courtyard and the drinks, just forget it. Manager is increasing rude. Unfortunately we were never able to be seated and to eat the food just due to the manager's behavior.

First off, we screwed up by seating ourselves (inside). We missed the sign and the place was very empty (only two other groups), even though it was mid-afternoon. Probably shouldn't have been an issue, but our bad. However, the bartender and server, especially, ignored us. The server made eye contact and still ignored us. After about 20 minutes, we left. We've been coming here for years, and the service has always been great, so this was a surprise. Too many other places to spend my hard-earned, so that's that for us. read more

It's always lots of people and it looks like they sell lots of food although most of it is in the garbage. We hated this slop! Seasoning is too heavy. The fish dishes are way too mushy. I hate mushy chewy corn. Macaroni and cheese is dreadful. The seafood in that cheese sauce is tough and chewy. Buzzing with lots of people socializing and drinking. Well, it wasn't for me. I had a drink that cost me $13 and all the food was either broiled boiled or blackened, which is not for my taste was looking for a fried fish. Dinner didn't have it on the menu and I don't know when the south decided to combine seafood with pasta and cheese Must be something new didn't care for it and wouldn't go back there again not to say that other people wouldn't find it good just for me. Down graded to two stars. Vivid or no Covid, if you're open you should have adequate servers /cooks to provide timely service. I've a history in the service industry. I'm patient... it take 10-15 min to prepare chargrilled oysters and Royal Reds. I abhor when servers argued or make excuses that they are busy when it's not at capacity. They'd be busier if tables were turned in a timely manner, customers would be happier, wait staff would make more $ the owner would make more $ and could afford more fast/efficient/happy staff who don't make excuses. On the positive side, the Royal Reds are excellent, char grilled oysters are pretty good as well. Don't come in hungry or thirsty. It's work to get service! read more

8-16-25. It is 12:30 and we just left. We got the crab cakes appetizers and they were wonderful. We got an oyster and shrimp platter. They fries were the first thing we tasted and immediately saw they were cold so we ordered more fries. After she left the table we we both tasted the oysters. What a disappointment when coming to an oyster place!!! They were cold and tasted like they were old and had been cooked a couple hours. We both ate a single oyster and shrimp. The new fries came out and they were the best thing on the table. We have been coming to Cuzs for years and the last few experiences have been bad but we always somehow manage to give them another try. We travel from Ocean Springs to Bay St. Louis for a day trip offer and Cuzs is usually our first stop but my husband and I agreed that we would not come back. I don't know if they have new owners or new management but their food quality has for sure plummeted! And to add to insult; they were way over priced. We got 1 appetizer and 1 entree and 4 Morelos and the ticket was $75. Don't waste your money! read more

In town to see my family, walking around downtown/Olde Towne BSL and stopped in here for a quick bite. Ordered the gumbo - that's it - because I wasn't very hungry. Wow. One of THE BEST bowls of gumbo I've ever had. And I've lived the majority of my life in Louisiana so - let's just say I've had a good bit of experience with southern cuisine. It wasn't packed with tons of ingredients - really fairly simple - but it was full of flavor and the different components of it were subtle and varied. Just loved it. Meh I loved the fried shrimp and the tarter sauce. Don't substitute any sides, they charged us $4 per sub even though the sides we subbed were all priced the same in the menu. Between me and my mom, we were charged an additional $16. The waitress said it would only be $2 per sub. We asked and she said she couldn't do anything about the prices. Took forever for the salads to arrive and then our entrees arrived just a few minutes later. By the time we got to the entree the hot food was cold. Creamed spinach was ok, had to add a lot of salt. The decor was your basic beachside decorations. Roast beef po-boy was soggy and gross. Fried catfish tasted fishy. French fries and sweet potato fries were delish. read more

Brief stop here during our visit. We chose this one as we wanted to quickly grab sides and a drink. The bathroom was very clean. We chose a seat at a table and a waitress quickly came over. She was very sweet and gave suggestions. I ordered gator bites and a blueberry lemonade slush. The slush was delicious. Sweet but not too much alcohol to overpower taste. Prices very reasonable. Seems to be a great time to visit this part of the Gulf Coast, early in the season and no crowds. It isn't hot or too humid yet. We started lunch with a nice pecan flavored beer, served cold. Only had a couple sips before the food showed up, nice and hot. The shrimp platter offered a lot of food. Batter dipped fries were the star here. Shrimp was fried and tender, but didn't have a lot of flavor. My other half ordered a crab sandwich that was delivered looking like a full deep fried crab. I'm not a fan of seeing my food looking like it did alive. After much coaxing, I did taste it, and it too was tender but lacked flavor. read more

Consistency would be great. Last time the seafood platter had lots of oysters and shrimp, but not so much this visit. Two decent-sized oysters and 2 that were mostly batter that had a bit of oyster in the center. Five shrimp total... I did get three pieces of fish, which is normal. Lots and LOTS of fries. So if you want a large order of fries with a few shrimp, along with couple of oysters and fish (for about $35), then this is your place!!! read more
