The customer service was amazing and I was seated immediately. It took less than 10 minutes for me to receive my food. Everything was fresh upon order and the sprite was not watered down. Dumbest Waffle House I've ever been into. Walked in @9am on a Sunday and a guy working there stops me at the door saying "Can I help you!?" I said yes I'm coming to buy something to eat! Giving 2 stars based solely on the quality of the food. It's Waffle House (WH). I like WH food. I've never been to a WH that really stood out when compared to other WH's, though. I would've give more stars if the service had been better. I walked in on a Friday morning around 8 am. Sat at the counter and waited. It wasn't long before a server came up and took my order - the usual, aka the All Star Special with coffee and a water. After awhile, plate no. 1 arrived with the eggs, grits and toast. 10 minutes later, the waffle came. About 10 minutes after that, the plate of bacon arrived. I hope my issue was obvious. The place was far from crowded. I did't see any reason why there was such a delay between plates when, in my opinion, they should have arrived together at the beginning of the meal. There was also some kind of strife going on between the employees. I think one took a break since there was a lull and the other refused to cover her tables for her. I'd give the name of my server, but she wore one name on her name tag and on the ticket she wrote another. I know I could have been more verbal about my expectations and not be so passive about the plates arriving at separate times, but then what would I have complained about on here? ;) read more

Food tastes better when it's served in a good environment. Tonight I ordered the $5 waffle, eggs, and orange juice special, and they were probably the best waffle, eggs, and orange juice I've had for $5 thanks to Mrs. Kathy. She was a breath of fresh air on a dark, chilly Saturday night in the heart of Auburn. Love radiates from that woman. We chatted it up for quite a long time, and you could tell how much she cares about those around her. If anything it would be safer and more hazardous dude to it. The fact that I called a couldn't place my to go order over the phone is crap I hate this, worst thing ever. Its Waffle House so you cant/shouldnt expect too highly of their service but when you are ignored for the first 10 minutes after you sit down I think thats a bit much. Food was decent. Typical breakfast foods, but perfect if you are hungover or its super late and nothing else is open. read more

About the worst breakfast out I've had in awhile. Server was very pleasant, in fact the entire staff was courteous. That wasn't the issue. The food though was a disaster. I ordered more or less a la carte as I didn't want the bacon/sausage. I ordered two eggs over medium, grits, whole wheat toast and a waffle. The waffle came out first and was about 1/4" thick and soft. Horrible. The eggs were fine and cooked to order (over-medium). The grits on the other hand, were likely from the evening shift, dense and just plain bad. On top of that about a hour later I started getting an upset stomach. Then to beat all the check was $10.67 and w/ tip already added. Granted, it was only 10% and I added enough to bring the tip up to 18% (for the service, not the food). Truly the most delectable waffles i have ever had. One of the most bussin' meals for the drunken peoples of the night. Feeling like vomiting up a waffle or 2? Waffle House is the place for you. I will never.... be going back to this Waffle House. There was an employee, a black woman with a nose ring, who was terribly rude to me and my friends. Accused us of only ordering water, and continued to stand there and stare at us while we studied the menu. I was almost scared to eat the food from how rude they were being. Wait time was ridiculous. The staff was not concerned at all that there was a crowd waiting to be seated and served. They were goofing off and taking their time. Tables were not cleaned for at least 40 minutes or more. When I asked for a clean glass with sweet tea the waitress literally said "You get free grits with this one" because there were grits floating in my tea. When I stated "that's gross." She brought me a to-go glass and slammed it down on the table and maintained an attitude the rest of our stay. The young lady answered the phone with "Hello", thereby giving no indication I had called Waffle House. After I confirmed who I was speaking with, I was placed on hold. I wish I could give zero stars. As soon as school started back this place went to absolute shit. I went in to place a to go order, sat there for 15 minutes before anyone took my order. The lady then never called out my order so the cook came up to me 10 minutes later asking what I got. She got started on my food. A different guy bagged it up and brought it to me but it was only half the order because the lady who took my order never started any waffles. I literally waited 45 minutes for my food and they weren't busy at all. They need new servers asap. Will not be returning to this location. I normally love Waffle House, but the service during my last visit was atrocious. We entered and were immediately asked if we were paying with cash or card (because they could only take cash) and told that the grill would be down for another 10 minutes. When we said we only wanted 2 waffles to go, they acted like it was fine. One employee left, and the other started bussing tables without taking our order. We were the only customers in the restaurant. After 10 minutes we requested to put in our order. After another 10 minutes without anyone even starting to cook our food, we asked for a refund. Only then did the girl walk outside to get the cook. The icing on the cake was when they said they only had one syrup package to give us. If they had just told us the cook was on a break we would have left happily. To basically ignore the only customers in the building is extremely disrespectful and I'm reluctant to eat here again. read more
