I got the "drops of Jupiter" and I will say for a place that only took about 8 minutes to cook it fairly good the pancakes were decent I'd recommend going with something a little more out of the pancake area for a better meal the syrup was probably the most nasty it had no flavor and tasted like water and glue but the only reason I'm reading 4 stars because there doughnuts were bomb. Me being from Utah and tasting a whole lot of native dishes that one took me back and I loved every bit of it. It's a decent place the staff are always super friendly and great place for families will be coming back maybe just ordering something different next time. read more

we were told our wait would be about 10 minutes. During that time other groups came in and were seated before us. It seems all you have to do is call and be put on a waiting list and you are taken in front of other people even you have waited your allotted time. There were 4 tables free and three local couples were taken in front of us with no explanation other than they CALLED and asked to be placed on a waiting list, no waiting like others standing there. If you are in their establishment waiting then you should be taken then and not told you have to wait while an Auburn coach and wife are seated just by walking in the door. read more

They was our second trip and we loved it. Food is well prepared and is served in very generous proportions. Both servers that we have had were amazing. Make sure you get on the wait list online before arriving. I've seen several walk up and leave because the line is so long. Plan ahead tho and it works out perfect. Well worth any wait. We're in Opelika, AL for a few days and for breakfast we tried @flying.biscuit.cafe in the Tiger Town shopping center. I got the Georgia Peaches and Cream Waffle. It's a light and fluffy waffle topped with a warm peach compote and whipped cream. The waffle was fantastic and had a wonderful cinnamon flavor that combined nicely with those warm peaches. The Flying Biscuit Cafe is a regional southern chain so check out their website to find a location near you. read more

Our family of four was seated almost immediately despite a busy, full restaurant around 9:30 am on a Sunday. I used the Yelp wait list and it worked well! Our waitress was friendly and got our orders in. Then we waited for about 30 minutes for our food. The wait is the only reason I deduct a star--I would have loved if they had served our half dozen biscuits first to reduce some of the delay. Otherwise, the food and service were outstanding. It is the quality of food that I am used to at the Atlanta locations. I love the biscuits with apple butter and grits. My daughter got the spicy chicken and waffles-next time she plans to ask for the hot sauce on the side as it did drench a portion of the waffle which was not to her liking. My son liked the eggs and bacon plate with grits and a biscuit. The restaurant was busy--I would recommending coming before 9 am for less of a crowd and even earlier if you can manage (they open at 7 am). read more

This was my first time eating here. I doubt I will ever walk through that threshold again. This place was dirty. The menus were dirty, and the tables had some sort of residue on them. There were no napkins. The eggs were bland. I had to ask for pepper because there was only salt in 2 bottles. The dreamy grits were gross. It's a dream not to eat them. The service at the bar was nonexistent. The woman working there couldn't care less. My spot was sticky and dirty. I asked to have it wiped; no action. I sat motionless for 10 minutes with no attention. The others at the bar experienced the same. The woman working was leaving her station nonchalantly loading the refrigerator; anything but helping customers. Absolute disaster! Don't go to this place. read more

I have been a waiter so I know about prioritizing your customers. So when we asked for rolls, our server stated I will try to get some but none are out. When I look at the station, I see plenty of rolls out and her just not going to get them. Then a manager comes to greet us. Nice fellow. He ask if there is anything we need to let him know. We told him some rolls would be nice, ......and we never seen him again. So upon asking our waitress again, I guess seeing our frustration she went and got some easy. So the food was brought out and tasted good and correct. The waitress is then never seen again till she is ready to see how to split the tickets. By this time my wife has hopped up herself and got us to go boxes, we had to ask another waiter for some items and everyone had empty drinks wanting refills and ....some more rolls. So upon her coming to split tickets and give us that, we asked her for more rolls and refills. I asked her for a refill of sweet tea which I had been waiting for a while and more rolls. She brings back what I thought was sweet tea and tells us no rolls are available. We finally decide to just go with my wife apologizing to me cause she wanted my Father's Day to be a better experience. Upon leaving we get to where they set out the rolls and it's like 4 baskets just sitting there. I ask a different manager because we never seen the guy manager again, can I have some rolls because I asked for some but our waitress never delivered any. This manager gave me some right away. Great. So leaving at least happy about that, then I went to taste my to go sweet tea which wasn't sweet on the way home and was seriously disappointed again! I don't like to complain because I know being a waitress or waiter does take a lot in giving good service, but this lady either needs tables of just 2 peopke or a different job or position, or retraining. My mom was even going to make a to go order but was told if she placed it she would have to wait a while. My mom was thinking well had she as our waitress came to our table earlier to check on us she could have placed it earlier and it would have been ready by the time we left. Just a bad, bad experience. I almost, besides the good food and my friends and family, wish we had went somewhere else. I WILL NOT have her as a server again, if and when I go back. Disappointed and the experience was disappointing. Very disappointing. I could say more (table not wiped before being seated, our waitress checking other tables but not ours...etc.) but I think anyone reading will understand. Let me go and throw away this unsweetened tea.

Don't judge us, but we also shared some desserts. The standout was the white chocolate cheesecake, which was sweet but not super indulgent. I would definitely skip the crepe next time. The description made it sound delicious. But overall, it was lacking in a flavor. It was by far the most disappointing dish of the day. Even though it takes a while for food to come out service is impeccable, and the servers are just so lovely, so be patient. Their corkage fee to bring your own wine is $40 per bottle. I take my own wine to every restaurant I go to and have never paid $40 even at much higher end places. They focus on fresh produce from local farmers and some they grow there. If you are within a 30 minute drive, I would suggest going as there is not much in that area that compares according to our friends. There are multiple dining spaces so make sure you choose where you want to dine and confirm that. There are multiple bar options as well.
