Great little breakfast spot in Auburn! I got the hot chicken and waffles and loved them! My husband got the "Dirty Bird" and didn't love it but then again it didn't sound appetizing to me anyway. Mimosas on Sundays!! Service was great. Try it out!

We came Valentine's Day weekend from Columbus, GA after attending mass. He really wanted to take me here and I'm so glad he did. We had the bread and butter which was to die for! I think they gave us too much butter over bread ratio, but l'm not complaining haha. So warm, soft, fluffy and delish the bread was. I don't think we talked much when we had our wagyu steak main course cause it was so good, we couldn't say a word to each other. The pepper sauce with the perfectly cooked medium rare steak (which came cut in two pieces, which is a really genius move to serve steak by the way), with white asparagus, caramelized onion, rose petals, and just pure deliciousness. Literally chef's kiss. We also couldn't make up our mind about desserts cause they had a Valentine's dessert menu and the couple sitting next to us also recommended the cookies and milk. Yeah- I'm really lucky and very spoiled. Definitely hit a sugar high, but absolutely worth it. Servers and greeters were also all so kind and attentive. Definitely recommend :) I think this is the nicest dinner anyone has ever treated me to. Thanks for my amazing boyfriend- I'm so grateful.

Let me start by saying the building is beautiful and the atmosphere feels like a nice restaurant. Also, the cocktail menu was definitely curated by someone who knows what they are doing. The appetizer Barrotta cheese was the best part of the evening. With that being said, the entrees were lackluster and small. Our food came out lukewarm at best and honestly seemed like not a lot of thought went into them. I know that this restaurant is supposed to be upscale, but I don't think I should pay 55$ per persons meal and still leave hungry. Also, the staff needs training. The whole time it felt like they were concerned with fast turn over and nothing else. Part of upscale dining is that the price of food and quality of service is more important than turn over time. Generally speaking I will not be back to eat here again.

Tucked into Auburn's dining scene with an upscale-casual pub charm, it's become our daughter's favorite spot to "take us" when we visit--which tells you everything you need to know. After a semester fueled by ramen and an alarming quantity of Chick-fil-A, she heads straight for the spicy penne crowned with perfectly cooked filet medallions. A wise choice. They don't take reservations, and yes, you may linger outside awhile on a busy night. Stay. It's worth it. For those of us with Gulf Coast roots, the menu reads like a love letter: blackened catfish done right, crispy crawfish tails, and cheese-laced grits that feel like a warm welcome home. The fried green tomatoes are a standout--golden, crisp, topped with grilled shrimp, and finished with a balsamic glaze that somehow works beautifully, even if it strays from tradition. The shrimp and grits, the catfish, the pasta--all hits. Cheesecake for dessert, especially if you're loyal to a graham cracker crust, is non-negotiable. Dim, cozy, a little whimsical (don't skip art in the hallway to the bathroom), and staffed by people who seem genuinely happy you're there. We'll be back. Often. --Chance & Becky *All Ahead Slow*

At each point, the valet, the host, the server, the food runner--everyone greeted us with a smile and kindness. The welcoming environment was definitely not lost one me. Now, to get to the food: I love that the oysters rotate and I tried a Blue point (my favorite), Love Shucks, and a queen's cup. Next, we went for the blue crab dip. It's served in a great for sharing cast iron skillet. The dip was delicious, and although the dill chips were nice and crunchy, they were overall way to salty and really detracted from the crab dip. For entrees we opted for the stuffed trout and the grouper bites. The grouper bites were fried perfectly and the succotash that it came on really brought out the flavors. I wasn't a fan of the hash but my mom loved it. Now the star of the meal was the pickled onions on my trout. Wow! Truly elevated the dish in a way I hadn't expected and sounds so basic but was a genius choice. Another standout was our server Christian who was attentive, enthusiastic, and helpful. It's so cool because he's also the voice on ESPN so go check him out!

Fried green tomatoes- wasn't the biggest fan of pimento cheese, but if that's your thing I'm sure it would have been delicious. I had the strawberry / spinach salad. It was decent but a little too much dressing on parts and a bit dry in others. The biscuits were a star of the other meal. I believe it effected some of the flavors of foods that were boiled in it, too. Gnocchi had some of the same off flavor. In addition, some of the flavors just feel way out of whack for totally unrelated reasons. Sauce that the duck came in was thin and overwhelmed by honey. The risotto it was served with seems like it should be rich and homey. But despite a crazy amount of added dairy still tasted thin and flat. Can't tell you why. Wonky seasoning? None of the dishes reflected any familiarity with acid to lighten or balance a dish. Fried green tomatoes were pretty mid despite a quality remoulade and a bunch of pimento cheese. Ingredients seem like they're decent quality. Desserts are legitimately top notch. Everyone recommends the peanut butter pie. And it is excellent, though pretty obviously not long out of the freezer. The affogato Is legitimately fantastic. And I'm not even talking about the pageantry of dumping the espresso on the salt ice cream. The combo is legitimately satisfying, like a well-rounded creamy candy. The plates are funky and cool and beautiful. The staff all seem like they're 19, attractive, and gregarious.

According to the receipt the last name is Hodges who was our server. I had high hopes, but it ended up being a very horrible experience. We had a table of 6, with a high chair requested which they couldn't (and didn't try to ) accommodate. That's fine we looked past that. Next, was no happy greeting, just basically an asking of our order of drinks. Drinks were delivered and with it being Father's Day we know the wait is extra long with things. However when other tables are getting rolls and you are still sitting empty, to me it speaks of the priority that your waiter or waitress makes concerning your table. I have been a waiter so I know about prioritizing your customers. So when we asked for rolls, our server stated I will try to get some but none are out. When I look at the station, I see plenty of rolls out and her just not going to get them. Then a manager comes to greet us. Nice fellow. He ask if there is anything we need to let him know. We told him some rolls would be nice, ......and we never seen him again. So upon asking our waitress again, I guess seeing our frustration she went and got some easy. So the food was brought out and tasted good and correct. The waitress is then never seen again till she is ready to see how to split the tickets. By this time my wife has hopped up herself and got us to go boxes, we had to ask another waiter for some items and everyone had empty drinks wanting refills and ....some more rolls. So upon her coming to split tickets and give us that, we asked her for more rolls and refills. I asked her for a refill of sweet tea which I had been waiting for a while and more rolls. She brings back what I thought was sweet tea and tells us no rolls are available. We finally decide to just go with my wife apologizing to me cause she wanted my Father's Day to be a better experience. Upon leaving we get to where they set out the rolls and it's like 4 baskets just sitting there. I ask a different manager because we never seen the guy manager again, can I have some rolls because I asked for some but our waitress never delivered any. This manager gave me some right away. Great. So leaving at least happy about that, then I went to taste my to go sweet tea which wasn't sweet on the way home and was seriously disappointed again! I don't like to complain because I know being a waitress or waiter does take a lot in giving good service, but this lady either needs tables of just 2 peopke or a different job or position, or retraining. My mom was even going to make a to go order but was told if she placed it she would have to wait a while. My mom was thinking well had she as our waitress came to our table earlier to check on us she could have placed it earlier and it would have been ready by the time we left. Just a bad, bad experience. I almost, besides the good food and my friends and family, wish we had went somewhere else. I WILL NOT have her as a server again, if and when I go back. Disappointed and the experience was disappointing. Very disappointing. I could say more (table not wiped before being seated, our waitress checking other tables but not ours...etc.) but I think anyone reading will understand. Let me go and throw away this unsweetened tea.
