I have been here twice and they have yet to disappoint! The food is delicious, and the service is fast and outstanding. Extremely attentive staff and well trained. They all work well together and are very customer focused! Can't wait to see you guys again! read more

Came here for breakfast with friends. Got us seated pretty quickly, but waitress was somewhat disconnected. She had to find us menus, took our order right away and didn't come back for awhile. Had to ask for a second cup of coffee and was told oh, you want more coffee? My friend had to ask for other portions of her breakfast. Good sized portions and food was cooked just right. Thought that pricing is a bit high. Not familiar with other places in the area, so if I found another place, probably wouldn't return. read more

Waffle Cafe - Plain waffle with side of corn beef hash - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Manteca, California

I'm not sure how I feel about this place, but here goes. When you entered, the place is a bit outdated with their decors and seating areas. We got seated on a booth and our server was very nice and welcoming. I ordered chicken fried steak with eggs over easy and hash brown because I have been craving for some good ole chicken friend steak with country gravy. When our order came, I was greeted by 2 big chicken patties slathered with country gravy. Now, it looked as if the patties looked like it was frozen before and just got reheated. It does not looked like the picture they have on their yelp page that other customer's have posted before. It was thin and the gravy made up for it's dryness. I also have the hash browns in which have an after taste. I believe it came from the oil that they cook it on. It tasted like the oil has been used so many times that it has that burnt taste. In all honesty, I finished my food because, first, I was hungry. Second, I am not one to waste food and money so no matter what I will finish that food on my plate. Our server was very nice and took care of us. This place has their usual everyday patrons as some of them are known by their first name. It was a nice experience nonetheless and their prices are affordable. read more

Waffle Cafe - This is vary good food fast service at reasonable prices - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Manteca, California

Came in for breakfast. Got seated quick and the service was decent. The menu is on the pricier side for the area but they have big portion sizes. We got a pretty good variety of items off the menu (skillet, omelette, burrito, and waffles). The food wasn't bad but definitely needed more seasoning. This is a good place to go for quantity and a nice old school vibe, but the lack of seasoning and prices keep it from standing out. read more

Place has gone downhill due to the greedy Indian manager . They had a special posted in the window and they removed it and increased all their prices in the menu. Right now is not the time to be increasing prices . They lack customers and place was almost empty compared to back in the days . Place will go out of business soon due to $tupidty . Food is average. read more

Waffle Cafe - Place has gone done hill - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Manteca, California

Do not know it was there until a friend suggested it. Service was really good and fast. Was disappointing in the omelette I had. All they did was fry an egg and put it over the Denver part of the omelette. The breakfast potatoes we're surprising in that they were a little spicy. Orange juice was what's good. I might be wrong but it seemed fresh. All in all I would it recommend breakfast elsewhere. read more

Very delicious and huge portions of pancakes! I will be returning for their waffle next.

Food is really good. Waitress was so mean for no reason. Andrea or Drea made the whole experience horrible for us.

I came here with my husband to try a new breakfast The reviews were a little mixed, but we gave it a shot. The waffles were the perfect soft and slight crunch . Hash browns were cooked correctly and the service was quick. Our waitress was very welcoming and the cutest. We did try the biscuits and gravy which were good , but would of been better with more sausage, so if you order ask for a side Of sausage. I would defiantly come back. read more

One of the oldest running non chain breakfast restaurants in Manteca. (That's kept the same building) something just radiates nostalgia here for me. Sitting with my great grandma ordering a bacon waffle. Now fast forward I'm bringing my own children here. Prices are very reasonable. Food is as good as it gets for diner style breakfast. Inside is kept clean, it has a large dinning room so everyone has a seat. The ladies are always friendly. I keep coming back. (I must include the name has changed from waffle shop to waffle cafe) I still call it waffle shop read more

My boyfriend and I couldn't make up our minds on what to eat for breakfast and where to go so we yelped places out of Stockton of course, we weren't feeling our usual spots today so we went out to Manteca instead. After finally deciding on where to go it was already brunch. Found a local spot here seemed to good to pass up so we gave it a shot thinking we got a long line ahead but it wasn't too bad. Table for 2 was less than a 10min wait maybe even 5, seated and checked out the endless menu. Forgot to take a quick snap of our food but it was all wonderful and delicious. Boyfriend and I were stuffed had to box up our leftovers. Good place overall with good food. Shout out to our waitress I didn't catch her name but thanks for being tired and giving us a free drink ! Lol. read more

This building has been here since Happy Steak days, alot of my memories. Even tho the interior is the same it still feels homey not out of date. Visited here w/7 people, the server, Monica (I think?) was awesome she had a smile the entire time and paid attention to each person not making anyone feel rushed. One person got humungous pancakes, the hamburgers looked great and my waffle was good and huge. read more

I love this place! My first time here, and I'll be returning. We were greeted the second we walked in, by the hostess, manager, and other servers that passed by. My gf and I sat in a booth. The booth was clean! Usually there's crumbs and soap scum left on the table, but not at our booth! Our server was great! She asked if it was our first time here. I was. She made the experience easy and comfortable. That's one thing I do appreciate about great service, welcoming first timers. Water and Coffee came out quick. The helpers definitely deserve some recognition, my coffee was always topped off. Our server stop by after she dropped off our food. Great service! The waffle batter is amazing. I had the fresh strawberry and almond waffle, really good, I recommend them. My Denver omelet was satisfing as well. There was a lot of food left over, our server came back with boxes. Great service. Good people. And delicious comfort food. I've never saud this in any of my posts, but THANK YOU Waffle Shop quality stuff! read more

This place seems to impressed me every time. Visiting from New Mexico I knew this place was going to give me the ultimate breakfast before leaving town. Not surprised because this waffle shop goes far and beyond. You for sure get your moneys worth. Huge breakfast. Your food taste as if it's homemade. Plenty of food, huge pancakes/waffles, probably bigger than your face. We always enjoy ourselves. A place you'd want to stop by and enjoy the food while you're in Manteca read more

I should have posted some pictures of the food because they came out delicious. But now, they are only empty plates. Took my girls on Sunday morning and it was busy. Surprisingly the food came out very quick. We had the strawberry waffle and egg/bacon/sausage/biscuit & gravy. Everything was great! But we love the sausages here, they are plump juicy and super tasty. I think we have found our breakfast location now! read more

OMG what a joy of this place to have breakfast in. Freaking huge portions yes you heard! That will last you all day. The waffles are bomb. They serve big ass breakfast sausages. So believe what others are saying on here. On the menu they say served with two eggs it's more like three to four eggs. Oh by the way if you're a chicken friend steak fan. It's off the hook. I can taste the spice blend in it. Very flavorful. My hubby and I love this place now. Even the coffee is awesome as well. The customer service is great also. The inside of the place looks dated but who cares. It's the food and service is what matters the most. Oh yeah they have different varieties of the waffles. If you're a waffle fan then this place is for you. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in Manteca. It's actually called "Waffle Cafe" Went there today with my wife and as usual came away with full stomachs. Kayla our server was terrific and kept our coffee filled without asking. That is one of the things we look at as I grew up in the restaurant business. She was very observent of her customers and made sure that they always had what they asked for quickly. We have been there many times and will continue to make this one of our go tos often. Kudos to Kayla for being a number one in our book. read more

We have been going to waffle Café for six months on Sundays after church. We've always enjoyed our food and our service. Today, however was a different experience. Our food arrived in two shifts 10 minutes apart, was not hot and was incomplete. Our server was new and we don't blame her. However, we felt that because of the very unfortunate experience we should have had some sort of compensation offered to us by the manager. We expressed to him the situation we just experienced and he did explain they have new help. He missed an opportunity to create good will. read more

The portions are huge but very good and the prices are pretty good as well. I ordered the enchilada omelette with frence toast and it was very well made and my guy ordered the country fried steak and although very good it was way too large for him to finish.
