The loss of power for almost a full week literally transformed our pool into an ice rink, while the expanding ice in our pipes and equipment took its toll. Despite TP&P's dramatic volume of repair calls after the recent historic winter storm, Robert came out to our house personally to inspect the damage, then within days, he and his team were on site. Within another couple of days, Robert had our pool up and running, even while we're awaiting a replacement for our cracked UV system. I also wanted to mention that we were very lucky to have Michael & Tina as our TP&P sales pros. They maintained great communication throughout and the few minor issues that came up were handled with care and efficiency. We were close to having our landscaping company build it. I'm really glad we brought in a specialist instead. Mark came out, measured both areas, picked the one he thought worked best, showed me the design, and asked what I wanted. I told him: tough, hard to play, something that simulates real golf. That's what we got. Letting Mark design it the way he thought was best was the right call. The customer service was incredible. The pool company had left the drain area unfinished, so Mark drove to Lowe's, picked up a drain cover, and came back to finish it himself. He even updated where the irrigation should run to make it a fun, usable four-hole green. That level of attention to detail, not just letting things slide, was consistent throughout. We also had them install artificial turf in the other area. With young kids, Mark thought about details I wouldn't have, making sure it was soft underfoot and wouldn't get too hot. He really listened. He came back a week later for a walk-through and cleaned up the edges to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. The price was very reasonable for what we got, and the end product is so much fun. The green is tricky. You have to get the pace and angle right. The gift that keeps on giving. When they remodeled my pool a while back, they cracked one of my…read moreskimmers -- which they acknowledge was their fault. They "fixed" it at their cost. What I'm unfortunately just now finding out is that the fix was nothing more than a temporary patch that's now causing other problems. They coated the inside of the skimmer including joint between the skimmer and pipe with epoxy, which also filled in all the threads that are used to screw in a standpipe or other equipment that is used to facilitate other types of pool maintenance and repair. Which brings me to today. I have a leak somewhere underground between my skimmer & my pump. The repairman I had out would like to simply to simply screw his equipment into the skimmer to pressurize it -- so he can then find the leak by listening with something like a fancy stethoscope. The problem is that because of the amateur repair job done years ago he cannot screw anything into the skimmer, nor he can any of his bladders seal because the epoxy job is all uneven and irregular. He has a plan B but it's not as easy and will cost more. Live and learn.
