A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

The first drainage solution they installed didn't work. Before work started, I tried to get clarity on their drain design, but the receptionist couldn't answer my questions. They said the team lead would call me, but that call never came. After the first design didn't work, I had to follow up myself to get them to come back out, and it took another 3-4 weeks before they returned. They did come back and implement a better solution, but the installation skips what I understand to be standard practice: a proper burrito wrap (fabric, gravel, pipe, gravel, sand, closed wrap). Without it, I'm genuinely concerned the drain will silt up and fail within a few years, meaning I'll be digging it back up on my own dime. Again, the guys on the job were pleasant and efficient. I just wish the communication and the craftsmanship matched that. For a project like this where you're burying the work underground and hoping it holds for decades, the details matter.

Bryan promptly responded with an estimate for a gate replacement with and without posts, which I appreciated so I could make a quick decision on how to proceed with the 5+ responses I received. Bryan came out in person and reconfirmed the rates which were competitive with other bids I had received. The timing worked to refer him to a neighbor who also needed a new gate so he was able to do both of our jobs during the same time. I appreciated the fact he could replace the backyard fence rails and re-use the pickets for eco and cost reasons. He educated me on the pros/cons of using pressure treated lumber for the back of the gate and because I chose the pressure treated lumber, he will come back in a few months to stain it, the whole gate, and the 1.5 pickets that needed to be replaced. He oversaw the work directly. He and his helper finished the initial job in about 2.5 days, ahead of the bad weather. Bryan was responsive and easy to communicate with via text. He sent a proposal via an online app that was easy to review and sign. He accepts Venmo and credit cards, but there is a % charge for using credit cards.

He's always quick to respond, enthusiastic about the projects, and takes a real pride in his work and making sure things are done in a way that will last. We did a complete backyard overhaul and transformed it from a bare mud pit to a backyard oasis that we now love spending time in now: new sod on half the hard, paver patio and crushed granite on the other half, limestone retaining wall and mulch bed on the back wall, drainage, and irrigation through out. We had an old and non functioning irrigation system that we inherited from the previous owners and rather than just ripping it up and charging us for a new one, Aaron spent hours servicing and getting it to work, and then customized it to work with the new yard layout. We also had some freak of nature downpour of rain pretty soon after the big project was complete, which washed away some of the granite and caused the patio to settle with some dips. Aaron came back and fixed it all and added in additional drainage to keep it from happening again. Aaron is my guy forever now - extremely fair on pricing, honest, full of integrity, thorough, and just an all around nice guy. You won't be disappointed if you choose to work with him.
