We just finished our backyard and are so speechless and satisfied! Erin was so professional and friendly, she did a great job with the initial consultation, installation, and follow up. She provided a competitive quote, answered all of my questions and helped us understand the whole process. We cannot thank the crew enough as well! They all showed up on time and were professional and friendly as well. They maintained communication with us through out the process and made sure we were satisfied before the job was done. They also left our home spotless when they finished. The end result gave our house a clean, refreshing look! The turf looks so luxury and at night it looks just at gorgeous! We will definitely use Southern Turf for additional future projects! We highly recommend Southern Turf Co, we are very appreciative for their time and dedication! read more

I am so happy with our new turf! Southern Turf provided a competitive quote, was responsive, clear about process and timeline, and friendly throughout each step. Erin was fantastic about offering an informative (but no pressure) initial consultation, quick with follow up questions, and helped me feel confident about the design. I especially appreciated not feeling nickel-and-dimed when we made adjustments to the first-draft-design. Carlos and his crew brought it to life and our backyard looks beautiful. I had two spots in our backyard that could potentially fit a putting green, and I wanted the real thing, not putt-putt. That's exactly what Southern Turf delivered. We were close to having our landscaping company build it. I'm really glad we brought in a specialist instead. Mark came out, measured both areas, picked the one he thought worked best, showed me the design, and asked what I wanted. I told him: tough, hard to play, something that simulates real golf. That's what we got. Letting Mark design it the way he thought was best was the right call. The customer service was incredible. The pool company had left the drain area unfinished, so Mark drove to Lowe's, picked up a drain cover, and came back to finish it himself. He even updated where the irrigation should run to make it a fun, usable four-hole green. That level of attention to detail, not just letting things slide, was consistent throughout. We also had them install artificial turf in the other area. With young kids, Mark thought about details I wouldn't have, making sure it was soft underfoot and wouldn't get too hot. He really listened. He came back a week later for a walk-through and cleaned up the edges to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. The price was very reasonable for what we got, and the end product is so much fun. The green is tricky. You have to get the pace and angle right. I'm pretty sure one of the holes is impossible, but maybe that's just my golf game. So glad we brought in a specialist. The work from Mark and the team has been amazing read more

love my new yard from Southern Turf! They did an amazing job, great communication, ontime and left with everything all clean. They sent a full team to get the job done with the project manager and 2 leads plus the crew. Im so happy I decided to go with this company! read more

Installation was quick and easy! Erin helped me find a design that worked within my budget.

I searched for a artificial grass company and found this one on Yelp. With 5 stars and many reviews it fit my bill. I filled out a web form and then was soon contacted by Lindy. She arranged a time to come by and survey the small patch of my front yard that has had dying grass since the trees overhead have gotten older and fuller. She came promptly on time, took measurements and made recommendations on the type of turf based on my plans for the surface (nothing). Later in the day, I got a bid from her and I signed the online paperwork, sent in a deposit and they scheduled a day to come out and install. They showed up on time, did the installation. They also cleaned up the site with a power blower and left me the remainder of the turf for me to use however I saw fit. There was a slight miss where they didn't cap one sprinkler head out of 10 and so the sprinkler was pushing up against the turf on my test run. They came later in the week and fixed it to my satisfaction. Lindy was on top of all this including the scheduling, the visit to go over the completion checklist, as well has handling the crew to get them back out to fix the lone sprinkler. Additionally, during the day of the installation, another Southern Turf staff member came out to survey the work just to check on the progress. I would recommend them for future work, if I had any. read more

Erin with Southern Turf has great to work with. We're so happy with the finished product, we only wish we'd done it sooner!

Just had Southern Turf install in my backyard. Erin was great! Gave me real time updates, worked with me on design and the team delivered! I tried to have turf installed before very cheaply and you get what you pay for! I even had a leak that they did not cause impacting the the turf and they came the same day and fixed the problem. If you're considering turf installation, I highly recommend Erin Keller with Southern Turf Co. I'm someone who usually gets multiple quotes for large projects. Southern Turf Co. was the first company I reached out to. Erin came out the very next day after I contacted them. I had a rough sketch of what I envisioned, and I also asked about hardscaping, metal edging, and other non-turf items. I needed a company that specialized in turf but could handle the entire design. Erin reviewed my design, confirmed they could execute it, and was transparent about the aspects they don't specialize in, which helped set clear expectations. She made great recommendations and brought examples and samples to make decision making easier. One thing I always appreciate is a ballpark estimate on the spot. While I don't expect exact figures, I believe a sales rep should give a rough estimate to ensure we're aligned. Erin did just that, and her estimate was very close to the final cost. That same day, Erin sent me a detailed estimate, which reflects well on the company's professionalism. I had already checked with neighbors about their turf costs, and with Erin's competitive pricing and Southern Turf Co.'s solid reputation, I felt confident enough to move forward without seeking additional quotes. I was in the process of building a pool, which delayed the turf installation, but Erin stayed in touch, helping me reschedule without any pressure. When it was time for installation, she introduced me to Carlos, the head of the crew. We walked through the design, and the team began work, which included leveling, metal edging, and hardscaping. They finished in just two and a half days. Afterward, I did a walkthrough with Erin and Carlos, requested a few minor adjustments, and they were completed the next day. The whole process was efficient, and after comparing my turf to several neighbors' installations, I can confidently say that Erin and Southern Turf Co. went above and beyond. Their attention to detail made the difference, and I'm thrilled with the outcome! Erin has followed up throughout the process, making everything easy. Erin is knowledgeable, friendly and has a great personality which really made the whole process great! I highly recommend Erin Keller and Southern Turf Co. for their outstanding work! read more

10 Stars for Erin and her team. She is super knowledgeable and helped me make sound decisions. The crew was numerous and got the job done within one workday. It's been over a month since my turf install and I'm still incredibly pleased with the work that was done. No regrets at all! The price was competitive and the quality of work was fantastic. Thanks Southern Turf Co! read more

We hired Southern Turf Co. (Austin) last Fall, and immediately (within weeks) noticed a few issues (very prominent seam, lumpiness, and turf detatching from the edge in 4 places), and gave them a call. They requested photos of the items we had concerns with. Easy. No problem. Sent. Weeks pass, and when we finally heard back, we learned that we had to pay an additional $250.00 fee for a "site visit". Not cool, but what choice did we have? We paid, and it wasn't until a month later, 2 days before Christmas, that they sent someone to take a look. We had no heads-up as to when they would arrive - not even a multi-hour window. Fortunately, I was home, and able to walk the gentleman through the issues, and he agreed that everything we felt needed to be repaired did. He also pointed out that there was not enough fill applied during the installation, (which led to the lumpiness), and said that needed to be corrected. He said he'd reach out to me in early January, after the holiday which was absolutely reasonable. After multiple calls and emails to Southern Turf, throughout late Jan, Feb, and March, it was April 29th when we were notified that we're on the schedule for June11th with an arrival window from 8am to 5pm. As written, I suspected the email was automated, and that's fine, so long as someone is actually monitoring the inbox, right? And I felt somewhat assured that we were heading in the right direction because "Erin" was cc'd - likley the same "Erin" mentioned in a handful of reviews here, on Yelp. I responded, asked a couple of questions, and never heard back. Today, (weeks later) on June 4th, I received the SAME email message however today, it was to notify me that we're scheduled for June 16th, also with an arrival window from 8am to 5pm, and also with "Erin" cc'd. To be clear, this email was not to re-schedule. It was the same email I received before. So we've got 2 dates scheduled...which is it - the 11th or the 16th? Which of these dates should I take off from work? You're guess is as good as mine. I responded to the email, and included the correspondence trail since we dropped THOUSANDS with this company last Fall. I'll call in the morning, and I imagine, will get nowhere. I hate to leave this kind of review - I really do, but given Southern Turf Co. seems to actually respond to feedback here on Yelp, perhaps this is the most effective way to communicate with them. For me, all other means have failed. Our experience with Southern Turf has been incredibly poor and I would not recommend going with them for such an investment. read more

I did a month's worth of research and reaching out to multiple companies for quotes and ultimately decided on Southern Turf for their responsiveness, professionalism, and best quote. The other companies had poor customer service and their quotes were $5k higher for the same job. Our Southern Turf advisor, Caylie, was very easy to work with and she responsive. We received an actual paper quote via email vs a quote written in a text or verbal one as one of the other companies did for us. The other companies had really poor communications and customer service. We have a small backyard so they completed the job in a day and a half. We're very satisfied with work and would recommend them! read more

We are absolutely in love with our new turf! We have a small front yard and two big dogs, so the grass that was there never stood a chance. The yard also had poor grading so a lot of mud/water/nastiness would pool near the front gates of the house. I was always against artificial turf because I thought it looked very fake, but after one too many muddy paws, we finally decided to get rid of the grass and install the turf. After seeing the results, I wish we had done it sooner! The folks at Southern Turf did an excellent job from beginning to finish, including re-grading the entire yard per our request, installing metal edging that matched our fence, and meticulously laying down the pet-friendly turf even around our existing pavers and in-ground vines. The job only took one day from beginning to finish, as per promised by our turf advisor, Gemma. The crew worked super diligently and cleaned everything up at the end of the day. We have had multiple contractors come to the house over the past year to fix random things, but none were as reliable or timely as Southern Turf. Overall, we are SO pleased with the results. The turf itself is beautiful and soft, with no water pooling problem at all. Also, our dogs couldn't be happier! They used to hate stepping on the wet grass, but now I can't even get them to come back inside because they want to play outside longer. Thank you Southern Turf! read more

Shout out to Henry Moore with Southern Turf Co out of Nashville! Very respectful, helpful and very knowledgeable! He answered every question we threw at him. His crew was probably the best crew we have had out to our home. Update- The owner personally called to discuss what occurred and went above and beyond to rectify the issue even if we chose to use another company. Because of this we have decided to give them a second chance. I plan to update again once the work is complete. Original - We had an appointment for a consultation that we set aside our time for just to have no one show up and no one called until after I called and left a nasty voicemail. No explanation was given and I was assured someone was waiting to come out and make it right so I called and again no answer. This is extremely unprofessional and wasted our time. I expected more given the good reviews on here but I guess not. read more

Southern Turf Co. was the perfect final touch on building our dream backyard!!! The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Aaron came over to check out our yard, which was in complete chaos due to our pool construction. We knew the second we met him that we were going to go with Southern Turf. We had interviewed several other Turf installation companies and Aaron was the most open, patient and knowledgeable salesman! He helped us design our yard to stay within our budget AND create a beautiful outdoor space!!! Not only was he great during our first meeting, he continuously worked with us, checked in AND showed up to check out the yard once the installation was complete. Wow oh wow! I could not be more pleased with my new backyard...I HAVE ONE NOW! My friend used Southern Turf to blanket her yard and she never misses an opportunity to tell me how much she was enjoying it. Every call we have she mentions she's sunning and enjoying the lush green. Finally, I decided to give Southern Turf a call for myself. My husband is a stubborn gardener and wanted to make sod happen in our 500 square foot back yard. We have an 85 lb dog who is just a year and a half old and runs the area ragged, so before we got the artificial turf it was COMPLETELY barren: dusty dirt everywhere. I was so worried about the turf looking fake, wearing down, falling apart or smelling and Susan at Southern Turf answered about a million questions and talked about her personal experience with the many dogs she has running over her personal turf. Not only is this thing durable and amazing, my dog freaking loves it. He rolls around (I think he likes the scratchy texture when he's rolling) and it's soft and carpet-like on my feet. We can pick up his "number twos" easily with poop bags just like we did on our nasty old dirt yard. The pee has not smelled anything up; we are planning to rinse heavy-pee areas once a week as maintenance but was told that was just a precaution. When it rains: no more mud! When it's dusty: no more smelly/dirty dog!! Most importantly, I feel like I have a real yard. It is nice because we have a small house and this feels like a new space to visit, entertain, work and enjoy. Logistics: crew was professional and amazing, moving a lemon tree for us and cleaning up meticulously. We got a lot of quotes and Southern Turf was best value and most thorough in explanation, leaving turf samples behind too. read more

Had a great experience w/ Southern Turf. I quoted/reviewed about 5 turf companies and out of those, Southern Turf was reasonably priced (average to below average in price), had the softest turf, and above average customer service. Was really easy to communicate with them throughout the project and they did everything they said they would, in the timeline initially established. While I would still recommend shopping around and getting a myriad of quotes, definitely make sure Southern Turf is one of them. read more

We worked with John at Southern Turf and both my husband and I are constantly saying, it was the best money we have ever spent! Southern Turf promised and delivered our dream backyard! We had a lot of issues with growing grass after the 2021 winter storm, plus a new puppy creating dirt/mud holes all over. We collected three different bids and by far Souther Turf was the most competitive without having to adjust our yard plans. Scott Matthews assured us that he could deliver what we wanted. He was on top of all the details, guided us through the process, and set our expectations prior to the install. The crew, led by Servio, was fantastic. The weather wasn't great, but they did not waste any time. The job took 2 days and they assured me that they would clean up all the mess before they were done. My husband and I are still budgeting for the turf, but I wanted to leave a review for the consultant who came to talk to me. Erin asked a lot of questions to understand what we really wanted, and made suggestions as well that I hadn't thought of. I appreciated that she did not try to use any kind of high-pressure sales tactics. She seemed like she really cared about what would be best for me and for my family. She's a mom too, so she gets it. All of which resulted in an outdoor space we couldn't be more excited about. Impressive work from start to finish! **Also: after we had engaged with Southern Turf Co., I had a well-respected Austin irrigation company come out to give us a quote for a separate job. I contacted Southern Turf to do some turf work in part of our back yard. It was an area under trees that would never grow grass. When we originally talked, they were going to do a large 1200 square foot area or so. But then my wife changed her mind and wanted a smaller area because she was concerned about the heat and potential health issues from plastic baking in the sun and she wanted a concrete design. Let's be honest, turf is basically plastic carpet that looks like grass so I get her concern. On the concrete, southern turf does not do concrete work. They do pavers. And that's not something we wanted so we got a concrete company to pour a pad before we did the turf. So the scheduling, communication, and their willingness to work with you is 5 stars. 6 stars if I could give it. Here's where they fell short, On the initial install- mid Nov ish, the base was not flat. It looked like mini rolling hills. There were all sorts of high points. Another thing on the initial install is that the crew loved to just drive though the yard. Now, this isn't a huge deal as I told them it's ok because they were dropping of a heavy piece of turf. But what aggravated me ( again, Southern Turf stands by their work) is that it didn't like the initial curve they did and asked them to make a softer corner. Basically I asked them to add about 5 square feet of turf to make a transition better. They came back a day or 2 later to fix this. And they drove on the yard. They really didn't have a reason, could have carried what they needed. Anyway, they did end up fixing that transition and it looked much better Also, they left about 2.5 gallons of base on a different area of they yard close to where they parked their truck. Really wish they would have cleaned up better. Anyway, back to the install. So, it's wavy and looks like crap. I speak to the owner ( super nice ) and he's willing to have the crew come out and redo it. I said let's wait until after the Holidays because of travel and family in town etc. He also would not accept payment until they came out to level things off. Christmas came and went, a few weeks into Jan and I got a phone call asking when they could come back over and redo the work. I told them whenever. This crew comes over about a week later, doesn't drive through the yard, and make it nice and smooth. They even commented that the original job looked bad with many hills. I think the turf can still use a tuck job as there are a few areas that could use stretching. So, 5 stars on customer service and standing by the install. 3 stars in doing it right the first time. Yes, apparently there was an issue with the base compactor, but I feel that the initial installer should have noticed it looked bad and halted work. 3 stars on the clean up. Again, I had some piles of base in my yard and when they pulled up the turf to level the base they got quite a bit of infill on the adjacent grass. 5 stars on the owner Scott caring about this customers. read more
