Very positive experience. The whole process was a pleasure. Having worked with many contractors through the years and personally owning one of the largest lawn care companies in Texas, when it came time to install a "chip and putt" in my backyard, I had a lot of options. I knew it had to be synthetic grass, which I had some experience with. When I called Tanner, he was prompt to come out and was right on time. I explained that we were having a Memorial Day party in a little more than two weeks. We had about 92 RSVP's. Our lawn is large, so it wasn't a big deal to have a large chip and putt installed, as we have the room. Our existing live turfgrass is Zosia, and it was important to me for the synthetic to blend with the natural grass. Its worth mentioning that I also had called two other companies. One didn't call me back and the other was slow to respond, and I didn't like what he proposed. Tanner came up with a design that I loved, and the price was about what I expected. It was a three-hole course with three sand traps. So I gave the go-ahead, and they started work immediately. I had no idea how big a job it was. He paid especially good attention to the slopes for ball roll and drainage, which I am familiar with, having been a Master Gardener and Certified Arborist in Austin for the last 26+ years. Anyway, I was happy to see he tamped and compacted all the substrate and reinforced the sand traps. He started on a Monday with five guys. All were employees and not subcontractors. Yes, I asked.... They worked late every day, sometimes until seven. He promised to have it ready by Monday and do whatever it took. He and his crew worked all week, including Saturday, finishing Sunday evening. I'm extremely pleased with LawnPop and the result of my artificial turf. My family and I have finally been able to enjoy the entire back yard. I have kids ages 5, 3 and 1 and they love it. It's comforting to know there are no more ants and less mosquitos. I got quotes from three other companies and decided to go with LawnPop. Tanner is the owner and is very knowledgeable about the process. He came to my house to measure the yard and show me samples and answered all my questions, compared to other company where it was a sales person who wasn't quiet as knowledgeable. Their price was slightly cheaper and the quality of the turf is better. They also had more samples and different range of turf from middle to high quality to select from. The whole process is very labor intensive. Melvin and crew took 5 days to complete the job. My yard is about 2,000 square feet. Before I was using maybe 25% of the back yard because there are just areas where there were weeds, ants, dirt, etc. Now I'm able to enjoy the ENTIRE back yard. Tanner was very professional in his estimating and process leading up to the install; he provided technical input on a few conflicts that I had pre-installation where I needed to construct a playscape in tandem with the astroturf install. The crew were very competent, courteous, detailed, and professional. They worked very carefully around my exposed utilities (see pics) that resulted in a very clean finished product. They were also very helpful in talking through a few conflicts that I had with other projects. He was not the cheapest but for an expensive investment, we wanted to make sure it was done right. Lawn pop recently installed some turf in our back and side yards. We had put a pool in and wanted a low/no maintenance option as opposed to going back to grass. I visited with 4 local companies here in Austin and ultimately went with Lawn Pop as I thought their product and service would be supperior to the others I visited with. Their pricing was competitive with only one other company having a lower bid for what I believed to be a similar quality product. The crew that came and did the 3 day install was wonderful. They worked very hard, and did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Due to having a pool and a bunch of pool equipment, they had to turf around a lot of objects and it all came out very nice. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was due to what felt liked delayed communication at times between the down payment stage and the installation phase. But all in all, very happy. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE my new turfed backyard. We have a yard with a lot of trees and had tried sod unsuccessfully then were living with a dirt pit essentially. The turf looks amazing. The putting green is lots of fun. It was really game changing for our backyard. The details... Turf options & pricing - I got three quotes so got three sets of samples. Honestly all of the companies were within a couple hundred dollars and had similar turf options... with the exception of Lawn Pop. They have a turf option with a green backing that was clearly superior to all the other turf options. It does cost more, but it was the best of all the samples as determined by multiple people. Pricing - I noted already that per three quotes the pricing is pretty standard and they are competitive. Executing/Service - The crew was really efficient and careful in our yard. They respected existing landscaping, sprinkler lines, etc. They were thorough in ensuring that the putting holes were where we wanted, they cut meticulously around trees and stones. They responded to feedback and communicated during the job. Planning/Coordinating - We def went through some cycles connecting on the job, getting quotes, and such. I did not find email, text, or call more effective but it was acceptable. read more

Do not use this company! Lawn Pop came out to our house and gave us a quote for artificial turf install. We had multiple quotes and ultimately selected lawn pop. They took a $4k deposit for the project. When they came back to start the project they claimed that some of the areas were out of scope and that the total project cost was going to increase by 40%!! Assuming there must have been a misunderstanding and that their price was now 30-40% higher than other vendors, I requested a refund. The owner refused any refund. He never came out to see the project. He never took the time to call or in any way make the project right. Now a year later Tanner (owner) is still refusing to make this right and is in fact now saying the price will be even higher to move forward. Shady company and terrible owner. Do not use! read more

Had a poor experience in responsiveness and nobody answers the phone at their office. Never got updated agreement, continued to ask me if I paid the deposit but how can I pay a deposit if my only option is to drop off a check and nobody is ever there. read more

From start to finish Eric and crew from LawnPop were great! We have a large pup and the difference in our backyard is like night & day! No more mud being tracked in the house! I am just wondering why we didn't do this sooner! We tried sodding the yard many times over the years, but with the shade in our yard, in combination with large dogs we never really had a nice lawn. Eric was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, as well as keeping in touch with me while the job was being done. At the end of every workday the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up to where you really didn't even know they had been there! Their work was really outstanding as you can see from the pictures. They used a turf specific for people with pets as well as using microband sand that will help to keep it fresh. Just installed a "turf porch" with LawnPop. We had an issue with mud and we could not get grass to grow just beyond our porch. Tanner and Manny came out to check it out and came up with a great solution. They covered our existing patio (cement) and then extended about 20 feet further into the yard with turf. This solved our mud problem and made our porch seem much bigger! My family is thrilled with the result. We recently moved into our brand new, starter home. We were looking forward to a beautiful back yard for our two dogs.
