Wabi Sabi - Sushi Bars Near Me - Ontario, California

for 5pm on a Saturday we sat right at the bar and grill. There was a large birthday party sitting in the back area next to the sushi bar. However, it didn't slow down the service. About 15m later other diners joined us but our chef meant business! Our drinks, app's, and sides came out right on time. Drinks: If ordering their teas or house lemonade it doesn't seem like refills are included. They are provided to customers boba style with the lid you pearce your straw in. (Note: if we were drinking alcohol decent sizes beers, didn't look at price. For your birthday, free saki bottle!) Bill: Less than $120 without tip. Proportions: I don't know how the guests sitting next to us finished everything but we had leftovers from ordering dinner, from a 1 protein and 2 protein combo. Literally, 2 full lunches & even a little snack later. We are both conscious eaters, and understand there's a lot of salt 'n butter up in here. On a budget? Share a 2 protein combo and, sushi. You'll have plenty of food. Atmosphere: They do a really great job of esthetics. It feels like you step somewhere else between outside the restaurant and stepping inside. Service: On point, even the trainee was doing well! Pro tips: This spot is right off the 60 FWY & Grove in a mid-size lot. They do experience high volume phone orders! wowie!!! and can handle in-person guests without flinching. We didn't get the names of our servers but A++ for our first time experience. Even when the bill came she knew who to hand it to. ;) xoxo We'll be back. read more

Food was okay. Service was amazing. But I'm sad to say I will not be returning after seeing how the manager treats her employees. She seems to be incredibly agitated and on edge, and always reprimanding someone. It was very busy when I came in, and the girls there were running around trying to accommodate everyone, but the manager seemed to find an issue with everything going on. After reading more reviews and seeing how comfortable she was yelling at employees with a full restaurant, it's obvious this was not the first time and will not be the last time. I recommend you take your money elsewhere. read more

Worst experience ever the sushi was awful and warm I had to spit it out. Then I had to take back the miso soup cause it was cold... then when they do chicken fried rice the chicken is already pre-cooked read more

Spent Valentine's Day at Wabi Sabi and it was absolutely perfect. The food was incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and prepared like art. The service was just as impressive attentive, kind, and never rushed, even on such a busy holiday. Wabi Sabi made our Valentine's celebration memorable. We'll definitely be back -- not just for special occasions, but whenever we want an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend read more

The food was super fresh and the vibe was honestly on point--definitely not the kinda place you'd expect to find in Ontario with Japanese food this good. I even ended up having a really nice convo with an older couple sitting nearby. But here's the thing--I seriously can't stand it when I'm mid-meal and someone starts messing with my chair or how I'm sitting. Like, who does that? It's just awkward and low-key invasive. I'm here to eat and enjoy myself, not get adjusted like I'm at the chiropractor, lady. Sorry, but I'm not coming back. read more

super clean restaurant with very good service! Everyone was so kind and we had a fun time having some sake bombs.

Excellent value for lunch! (Especially with DoorDash discounts!) We visit in person and/or order delivery a couple times a month and Wabi never disappoints! Only thing I would say is to make sure and add any sauces you want to the "special instructions" if you are ordering delivery. Otherwise they will not be included. I also message my delivery person to ensure I get them. This has sometimes added $1-2 to my order which is kind of annoying because if you dine in, it's included. But not a huge deal. Always happy with the taste and temperature of my food. Bring back the wabi sabi sushi roll!! read more

This is the best Wabi Sabi location in IE. Hands-down, they're consistently good. Service is good. It's fast and quality of food is great. Everything from the sushi hand rolls to the fillet combination is yummy and the miso soup is great if you're looking for the Benihana experience at a more reasonable price this is definitely it. Not to mention they do on the house sake bombs, which is awesome. read more

This place is not the place to go get sushi not because of the food or the service but because of the MANAGEMENT . I came in a little earlier today and it was pretty hectic, the girl who served us seemed very sweet and seemed to be doing her best under the pressure of a rush when some older woman started yelling at her for "allegedly" doing something wrong in front of my family which made it very uncomfortable and awkward to want to stay any longer. Never seen such poor management, place needs a replacement for sure. read more

This place is so so good and highly recommended it! My lady , my child, and I enjoyed the food! Management is so awesome!

Great food and wonderful service. We were celebrating a birthday and had a great time.

First time at this location, to start off staff is very unfriendly. Our server seemed frustrated when we asked questions about the menu, which made us feel uncomfortable, Cook was rude when asked to do something specific since we did have someone who is allergic to shrimp in our party. cant complain about the food it was good for the most part. overall felt very unwelcome in this place. Have been to the rancho location and have never had this issue guess i will stick to going to that location instead. read more

An absolute culinary theater! The teppanyaki chef transformed fresh ingredients into magic - juicy steak with perfect sear marks, garlic-infused shrimp that danced on the sizzling grill, and vegetables so crisp they sang. Absolutely delicious! The lobster tail was juicy and flavorful, with a perfect sear from the iron plate. The seasoning was spot on--will definitely order again! Refreshing and perfectly balanced! The mango's sweetness and the passion fruit's tangy kick make this fruit tea an absolute delight. A must-try! read more

I have been coming to Wabi Sabi for years now. It has always been a lunch spot for my sisters and I. We are known by the owner and known by the cooks. Cooks will season and cook differently at time so we have out favorites which I will not name to be fare. But all are good in their own ways. We always eat at the grill and have our food made right infront of us. Today we sat next to someone with shellfish allergies so they cook out sea food separately. They accommodate very well. The portions are large and enough to feed 2 people. I ordered medium steak and shrimp, fried rice, veggies and bean sprouts. Everything was very delicious. I also order shrimp tempora on the side, they come out nice and chrispy. Service we hit or miss out time. But the cook will call the server over if needed. Our bill for 3 ppl was $89. This place isn't cheap but well for a treat. Lunch specials are the way to go dinner is far more expensive. I highly recommend this place and eat grill side. read more
