This hands down is always a 10/10. Has never failed me. Service is always friendly overall . The quality of the food is amazing, just taste way better! The place is very spacious as well, good set up. I always recommend this to my co-workers during our lunch break. Keep on grinding . Owner helped me once as well and was very kind .

This spot is hands down the best poke bowl places I've been to! The create your own option is fantastic. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, with generous portions and so many topping choices to customize exactly how you like it. The service really stood out. There was a young gentleman working this day who went out of his way to explain how to order and even recommended some great combinations that made my bowl even better. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name but he deserves all the credit for why me and my family had such a great experience. The space was spotless and welcoming. To a nice surprise, they even have beer on tap which pairs perfectly with poke. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the boba drinks. I tried the mango and Thai tea but both tasted watered down. Still the flavor of the poke and the servcie made this an easy 5 star spot. Definitely worth coming back! Thank you!!!

Solid 4 stars. The fish here is super fresh and high quality, which is the most important part! The topping selection is a bit more limited than other spots I've been to, but the portions are good and it hits the spot for a quick lunch.

Wow did I get lucky stumbling into this place! I saw it had high ratings & knew I needed to check it out across from my hotel. Not only was the fish and ingredients so fresh, the flavor profiles were incredible. I loved that they offer different spice levels depending on your taste. I have never seen that specifically offered in the sauce concoctions they create per bowl. I also opted for a spam musubi which I greatly enjoyed. The rice mixture was wonderful, sticky, and delicious. The service was exceptionally friendly & I was glad to have had such a pleasant conversation with the person assisting me. He really helped answer any questions I had! I would love to come back here!

Super slow. Long line with Togo order and only two person prepared. A bunch of order. You need to improve your speed. The guys are so slow. Low morale.

I usually come here before shopping at the Costco business warehouse next door. The place is busy with office workers from nearby. They also have beer on tap as well as boba drinks. I got the small with 2 scoops of protein ($14.95). They have sushi rice, brown rice, tortilla chips, and salad for the base. They have a good amount of fresh fish such as salmon, ahi tuna, shrimp, spicy tuna, tofu, yellowtail, and octopus. I got spicy tuna and salmon with white sushi rice and salad with seaweed, masago, onions and cucumbers, pickled ginger, wasabi with their spicy poke sauce and unagi sauce. They weren't heavy handed so the ingredients were not soggy. The seafood tasted fresh and the portion was a good size. The staff was quick on refilling the utensil area. The place is clean and the staff is nice.

First thing is first when visiting CA, gotta get my fresh poke, BUT at a new spot! Alas Poke Bowl in Ontario! I tried their poke nachos with scallops, spicy tuna and salmon! Toppings wise I pretty much put in everything hahah except for wasabi. The amount of protein you get in your order is just the perfect amount! Not too little and not TOO much! It was literally covering the chips that I almost can't see it! It didn't taste fishy or not fresh, it was definitely fresh! I also got one of their on tap beers, and they happen to have one of my favored from Kona brewing, Longboard is a good go to! Also the price point with their pints is pretty fair! Pretty sure it was about $4-5! Bryan, the owner was personable and really nice! He made sure you're a happy customer before leaving his store!! Interior: bathroom for customers and everything is well cleaned/tidy all around! I was able to have my toddler run around for the most part! Parking: plenty of parking! Even when it's shared with Starbucks next door! Overall: I'll be back to get my poke game on when coming from TX!

The fish is not fresh and has an off taste to it. The protein sizes are very small. Not worth it in my opinion.

Small tuna, brown rice, and vegetables, bowl

I got a small bowl with tuna as my protein. I had brown rice and vegetable with about three of pumps of ponzu. I was hoping they had quinoa, but they don't serve it here. This place has a lot less variety of toppings which was a disappointment for me. Pros: Good quantity of protein for a small bowl. Vegetables are 50 cents extra and avocado is $1.50 extra. The food was good, but I left there still feeling a bit hungry for more. I compare this place to other poke bowls and it just didn't meet my expectations. Not sure if I will return due to other locations that don't charge for the extras. The place is clean and the employees are nice. This rating was strictly about the food. Also, this place opens at 11 am and closes at 8 pm.

I've been wanting to try this place out since they opened & finally decided to try it since I was next door grabbing coffee. The place is very spacious. There are a lot of seats for you to enjoy your meal. I ordered the 2 scoop bowl for $14.95. I'm not sure how the system is in preparing the bowls. I noticed the first few people ahead of me had one person helping them prepare their bowl, so someone from the back came out to help me (I didn't get a name, but she had dark hair & facial piercings). She helped me at the first station with my base & mix. She seemed kind of rude, because it was kind of loud in there I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. For my base I asked for light rice & she kept adding more after I told her to stop (I guess she couldn't hear me either). After she put the base, protein & sauce in the mixing bowl she just left & said the other girl is going to help me. She didn't even mix it! She seemed annoyed! Luckily the next girl (with pink hair) helping me made up for the horrible start of service I received. I noticed they have fewer topping selections from what I've seen at other places, but that really didn't bother me because I usually don't get much toppings. I didn't add drizzle since I normally don't on my poke, but the girl recommended it, so she gave me some on the side. When I got home to enjoy my meal, I'm glad she recommended the sauce on the side. It brought out that umami flavor. My only negative is that I had more base (rice) than I did protein (which is why I usually ask for less rice). I would probably give this place another try if I'm ever in the area.

(I did see a sushi chef imbibe a sip of beer behind the counter.) We ordered a salmon teriyaki plate, baked spicy scallop roll, and a beef teriyaki roll. The salmon teriyaki came out first, and my company did not appear to like it very much. The beef teriyaki came out next and the rice seemed like the wrong type. It wasn't packed well and didn't seem sticky enough which resulted in the roll falling apart. The teriyaki itself was good, cooked well if slightly too salty, and the roll as a whole was okay. The scallop roll was good. Scallops were flavorless but we are a distance from the sea. The roll itself had a slight crisp from the baking process and whilst it did suffer from cohesion issues like the teriyaki roll, the sweet and spicy sauce, crunch, and creamy interior does work. Whilst the overall flavor does warrant a four, my overall opinion is that this is a good option if remaining in the nearby area.

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

My bestie and I had the best time here! I had been wanting to try this place forever!!!…read more I made reservations online for us, and as things turned out, we were going to be about 15 minutes late for our reservation. I called to let them know and they were completely understanding! When we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. Waters were brought to the table quickly as well. The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Surf & Turf roll which is spicy crab and coconut shrimp, topped with seared Wagyu, truffle oil yuzu, and eel sauce--absolutely incredible! Next was the Kuwada roll which is crab, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with baked lobster, eel sauce, and masago. The presentation on this one was extraordinary--and the flavor was amazing! Finally we finished with the Shrimp Lover Roll which is crab shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce--another winner! Jojo did an excellent job serving and clearing plates, as well as keeping our water filled! This place is a treasure and I can't wait to go back!

My first time here with my husband tonight based on a recommendation by one of my clients actually…read more He said it was the best sushi this side of Little Tokyo because Ken gets his fish fresh in Los Angeles! I had to try it out with that recommendation! I had gotten a reservation for 6, for a table. It's known for omakase so if that's what you're looking for, ask for a seat at the sushi bar. We were welcomed by Emi (Emiliano) at the front and seated immediately. Plenty of parking behind the building. Table seating in the front room and sushi bar in the back. I don't typically appreciate tv screens in restaurants, but this one was playing scenic photos of places in Japan so that was ok. My husband ordered an Echigo beer (his favorite Japanese beer which is not offered everywhere), and I ordered a glass of Plum wine. He then chose the Godzilla roll which was a crunchy roll wrapped in eel and avocado, whereas I chose the Passionflower which was tuna, salmon, yellowtail and crab meat wrapped in cucumber. Emi told me it was one of his favorites. :) My husband enjoyed the Godzilla roll very much--he found flavorful and satisfying. Both the ginger and the wasabi were fresh and delicious. The Passionflower roll was so fresh the fish melted in my mouth, and the crunch of the thinly sliced cucumber was delightful. It was by far the most unique roll I've ever tried, containing neither rice nor nori. I loved it! It paired well with my sweet plum wine and then the complimentary green tea ice cream Emi brought us for dessert! So overall, ambience was 3/5 but food and service was 5/5, I'd love to return and try other rolls! Highly recommend!

I cut the omakase short but I feel like I was just charged the full price. I have no clue because they keep everything secret. The fish quality was... American sushi quality.
