I am a rice bowl fan and WaBa Grill is a bit of fresh air. I know WaBa Grill is chain; however, this location is the only one I have tried. With that said, upon walking in I was happy to see nice seating, a easy to read menu, friendly staff, and food I couldn't wait to try! I have now visited WaBa Grill twice and had similarly pleasing experiences each visit. I love how they have grown the normal rice bowl menu to include shrimp, a vegetable selection, and salads. I have only tried their rice bowls; however, I look forward to trying a salad on my next visit. As for the rice bowl it is really good! The rice is cooked perfect! The beef came finely chopped and covered in their teriyaki sauce. The meat and the sauce have great flavors. I made sure to include some of their Louisiana Hot Sauce which I prefer over their sriracha sauce. I look forward to returning and trying other selections! Until next time. read more

I ordered a chicken veggie bowl here twice and today I ordered a delivery and the chicken was super hard and rubbery which was probably way over cooked and rice was really hard and dry. This is a decent location. I used to come here on my lunch break every other week. I would call in my order over the phone and drive from Murrieta hot springs and zoom over there to pickup my order and drive back to work to scarf. I enjoyed the option of healthier food for lunch. The location is clean and staff members are very friendly. The only gripe I have is that they seemed to run out of avocado often. There was a few occasions they had completely run out of avocado by 1:00pm. So they either did not stock enough or got more avocado orders than anticipated. Either way the avocado on top is the highlight for me. I don't even want the rest of it without the avocado. It just ain't the same without the finishing touch. So I started just confirming they had avocado over the phone and if not I would go elsewhere for lunch. I'd suggest you do the same if you are like me. Overall good WaBa grill though! read more

It's nice to get some veggies in a fast food type setting, but the chicken was very over cooked and dry. Gross, gross and gross!!! I had never been to a WaBa Grill & won't ever go back again!!! The place smells like sewage & the food is disgusting!!! I was ignored by the 3 guys working there for 5 minutes. Granted they were really busy filling phone orders but they could've at least said hi. After we finally ordered we sat by the bathrooms, the smell should've driven me away immediately but we were starving & didn't want to have to deal with getting our money back & going somewhere else. I'm pretty sure they have some serious health code issues. When we got home & saw our food, what little there was, we were totally disappointed. Then comes the taste. The white rice wasn't even fully cooked, or maybe it's just the most cheap, disgusting rice you can buy, either way it's the worst I've ever had. I literally got 2 pieces of broccoli & 4 slices of carrots, both of which tasted weird. The meat, again what very little there was of beef & chicken, both were full of fat & gristle. I wound up giving my food to my dog. I tried to do the survey on my receipt but the link led to no where. I emailed corporate & they said management from the store would get back to me in 48 hours, that was a week ago & I still haven't heard from them. Obviously they don't care about customer satisfaction. I've been going to Flame Broiler for years but there's not many around unfortunately, which is why we went to WaBa, they seem to be the closest thing around to Flame Broiler. I won't stray again. Had a great lunch date today with one of my closest gal pals, this was our first choice stop for dining options, always love the food! I was really impressed with Nicholas today behind the counter, he was really helpful with offering suggestions, and telling us about what he liked about different plates, because I can be rather picky. I've been coming to this location for years. Never have a been to a restaurant with more unprofessional employees on a consistent basis. This place has a high turnover rate and somehow employs only terrible employees? I've walked in multiple times to the register worker glued to their phone not acknowledging me until I've been standing at the counter for a few seconds. Today I watched both of the cooks laugh and carry on a conversation for 5 minutes while my chicken just sat on the cutting block. The register girl then goes into the bathroom (which is closed to the public) with cleaning supplies and abandons her post. Now there's no one to put the lid on my bowl and give it to me. So instead of one of the cooks just throwing on the lid and giving it to me they went back to their super important converstaion and i had to wait until the girl came back from "cleaning the closed bathrooms" to get my bowl. I was the only one in there for crying out loud. Not only are they unprofessional but half of them can't run a rice cooker, what the heck? I've had undercooked rice there more than I can count. Some leadership needs to step up at this place cause it's embarrassing and has only gotten worse over the last couple years. read more

9/29/22 7:30 pm. Honestly don't think I could ever consider eating here again, so grossed out with the lack of concern the employees showed for proper food handling and sanitation. Register to grill and food prep, no hand washing, no gloves was bad enough but when one of the crew threw the cleaning rag up on the counter and it landed on top of the chicken and they chose to serve it anyway and made a joke about nobody seeing (apparently they didn't think anyone could hear either), the appalling lack of hygiene made me turn around and walk out. I won't be trusting this location with my food EVER again!!!! Gross!!! For the manager, there were 3 employees there, one cleaning in the far back (he was not a part of this), a bigger size dark haired guy and a young upward curly haired guy. This was my 3rd visit to this location. It will most likely be my last since the staff that work there can't seem to get a simple order correct. First time I visited I added avocado and paid for it only to find when I got back to work to eat that it was never added to the mall. Second time I asked for the salad to be replaced with extra rice. They have this practiced getting when you come in but after that, all you get from the order takes is a "deer in the headlights" stare while they ask if you want onions. I'm a Sprint employee in the shopping center there and I frequently visit this location. I've been to multiple Waba locations, but by far receive the best service from here. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and genuinely look like they love their job. The manager Cheryl is awesome and always takes care of all the employees here at Sprint. Adrian the lead chef is great too and always cooks special orders that are typically not on the menu, which is really cool. Overall experience is great! If I could give more than five stars I would.
