WaBa Grill is the place I turn to when I want my food quick without the guilt of greasy drive thru fast food. WaBa has some of the freshest delicious health conscious food around. I usually order the brown rice, vegetable, and steak bowl then add a side of shrimp. Never have I been let down by the food, each time it's delicious. Literally my only hangup is they serve Pepsi products, not a big fan. Located off the 15 at Clinton Keith next to Albertsons. Service is typically pretty good. They have restrooms that always seem clean and well stocked. They even have a small outdoor patio seating area near the back by the soda machines. Parking can be limited only due to surrounding businesses and their customers. Overall, I love this WaBa grill and can always count on them when I want some healthy delicious food on the go. I don't understand how WABA it's no longer the place that used to served a good meal, I know exactly who the owner is and to my surprise he was the one making the orders. I ordered a Chicken bowl with white rice, vegetables and avocado. The rice was dry either over cooked or not cooked all the way but it was dry and hard, the chicken was dry and just the place I will never go back again, the young kids there are there to follow a good leader and if they don't have one they learned not to care about serving a fresh good meal. I am updating my review after I recently tried this place again. The cucumber edamame was much better and I got a full size portion. The salmon, rice and veggies were cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the dumplings. The only complaint I have is there was almost no waba sauce on my dish and I requested it with sauce. read more

I like Waba Grill a lot don't get me wrong. It reminds me of Flame Broiler but with much more options. I have tried the steak salad here both times I came in. It was flavorful and light on calories which is always a double win in my book. The size is actually good enough to save some for later too. Waba has great food but this location has dropped off. Tables dirty and wobbly. Service takes a long time. Portions are now small. Noticeably less protein than other locations. Not too big a fan of the steak, it's all chopped up, thin and although they're food is served with teriyaki sauce, the steaks seems to be oversoaked in sauce. I ate in for lunch with my family and while I was pouring milk into my daughter's bottle, she slapped it right off of the table and it got everywhere! I was sooo embarrassed and felt terrible. The woman who helped me at the register cleaned it up right away and tried her best to make me feel like it was okay. I don't usually give bad review but this is bad service. I called many times and nobody picked up (happens all the time when they're opened) so I went online to order my food, online says the store is opened and pick up in 12 mins. I gave them 20 mins, I went to the store and it was closed ! They charged my card too. Mind you I only have 30 mins lunch, going back and forth took me 15 mins and now I have to skip my lunch cuz I don't have enough time to get anything else. They could careless scratching the bottom of the rice saying should we make more rice or just scrape as much as I can for a bowl. Came in to get the two bowls for 10.98. Another woman was standing there and asked them why she was charged more for the chicken bowls when the sign advertised 10.98. Cashier said oh sorry, better luck next time. The customer next to me looked confused. I spoke up and said why don't you adjust the price. The manager pipes up and says I'll do it later I'm busy right now. I just walked out. It wasn't even busy. There was me and one other person there. Horrible customer service! I am a rice bowl fan and WaBa Grill is a bit of fresh air. I know WaBa Grill is chain; however, this location is the only one I have tried. With that said, upon walking in I was happy to see nice seating, a easy to read menu, friendly staff, and food I couldn't wait to try! I have now visited WaBa Grill twice and had similarly pleasing experiences each visit. I love how they have grown the normal rice bowl menu to include shrimp, a vegetable selection, and salads. I have only tried their rice bowls; however, I look forward to trying a salad on my next visit. As for the rice bowl it is really good! The rice is cooked perfect! The beef came finely chopped and covered in their teriyaki sauce. The meat and the sauce have great flavors. I made sure to include some of their Louisiana Hot Sauce which I prefer over their sriracha sauce. I look forward to returning and trying other selections! Until next time. read more
