This all happened tonight 2017.05.07(20:30-20:50) My girlfriend and I took my mother to Waba Grill. Walked in, it was very clean, the food was good. That is why I put 2 The store should be receiving a 5 had not one of their employees been extremely rude and disrespectful. We ordered our bowls, and sat down at the table, right next to the register, to the right of the door. 5 to 10 minutes later, the white girl (I was unable to read her name tag) with light/medium brown hair, ( the only one) came up to our table and literally slammed down our tray of food and shoved it forward. She then whipped the left, muttering, what I am left to assume was something rude and unprofessional. One other employee saw the whole thing. The young man with a beard. He was the cook. He looked baffled at me and at her from the otherside of the kitchen wall. He then apologized to me non-verbally while cooking on the grill. He then, a little later, offered us free drinks, which we said thank you, but we all refused. He is also another reason why i gave 2 stars. We ate our food and left. I walked into the Waba Grill next to stater brothers on grand and was taken back by the smell of Methane gas, I mentioned it to the girl at the counter and I said you must have a broken P-trap in your drain, she looked at me and said she didn't smell anything. I've never been to this waba grill, and usually never have issues. Cashier was nice and even the cook greeted us as we walked in. Customer service is great. My issue is how little teriyaki sauce was put in our bowls. We had ordered to go and didn't check until we got home but please don't be stingy with teriyaki sauce. We went for dinner for Cinco de Mayo. We had horrible service from the hostess. She was an older lady. I didn't get a chance to get her name however she was so rude that we got up and left. I ordered a Cadillac margarita and it was horrible and over priced. I was ready to return it. When the hostess Rudely came to our table and asked if we wanted our check. All I did was ask her if we could move to one of the open booths they had available since we had limited time to eat dinner since she said everything was reserved. The horrid smell from that woman makes the food SO unappealing! Chicken has an awful lot if fat to it. It's pretty gross. Beef is typical of Waba and Flame Broiler style, all the gristle and fat that you'd expect. I've been there a handful of times and usually have to wait for someone to get out of a lobby chair or from the back to take my order. Came in 2 hours before they closed ordered $50 worth of food, tried to order a drink regular ice tea to be told that they already put the tea away for the night. Ummm I'm sorry you close in two hours and you put drinks away already plus you got half of the chairs put up on tables. I guess this location must make a lot of money that they don't need business like that they can start closing up 2 hours before they actually close. Exceptional customer service, very clean, and the whole crew has a smile on their face. Every time I go in I happen to catch manager Jessica on shift and she is just great! I get my food reasonably fast as well! Never missed an item in my order. I've been to other waba grills and nothing compares. This location is out of my way but I wouldn't think to go to another just for the great experience. Coming from someone that worked in the restaurant business this is a big deal. you're not supposed to handle chicken and steak and the same board as an FYI as this company seems to have trouble getting another board (noticed in many stores I've visited) when is the last time health department came in? As a "cooperate" store you guys look like a mediocre franchise falling apart. Get some better training. I went there earlier today and all I can say is the customer service there was amazing! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the young woman taking my order was very polite and informative she helped me decide what I wanted to order. I believe her name was Noel or something her name tag was to small to read. But she just made my over all experience great and i wish all other restaurants would have as great as customer service as she gave me. Definitely will keep coming back read more

Have come here 3 times since they opened because it's right next to stater bros and it's a quick lunch pick up after doing some grocery shopping. The only thing is they skimp on everything! They don't give you enough rice or chicken. If you go to the Waba grill at the Eastland center and open your bowl you see a nice layer of chicken with rice barely poking through. This place maybe fills the bowl halfway with rice and gives you just a few pieces of chicken. I'll be making the extra few minute trip to the Eastland center Waba for my fix from now on to get my money's worth. read more

Waba grill?? More like WhyBuy Grill. This place is a fairly new location in my city and today I thought I'd stop in and give it a try. Having been let down at other locations in the past, I thought why not give it one more go. After stating that I wanted two steak bowls, WELL DONE. (One being a steak & veggie) the cashier proceeded to not call out my well done order to the cooks. After asking her a second time, she then informed another worker to tell the cooks. Minutes later, our bowls come out we pack our sauce and hit the road. We get home and realize that, 1. The steak is one of the fattest cuts of steak I've seen. And 2. I am reaching out to you because I placed this order today at around 10:20am. I arrived around 10:30am to pick my order up. I was told by an employee that they are not opening till 11am today. I mentioned that i had placed an order through the app an the store hours state they open at 10am. Since i was working and was taking my lunch for work already i told them if i could cancel my order and an employee replied yes once we open i will cancel i said ok. I never received my money or points back through the app so i decided to call. I was answered by the same person that mention he would cancel my order. He said he reattempted to void and cancel the order and mentioned it may take a few minutes and to call back in if it did not return my points or money. 30mins later i called back in since it did not return my points. I was answered by someone else and when i called in I heard a lot of backrougnd noise and the person i was talking to stated they could not hear me and that my phone was breaking up when it was clearly on their side. I hung up and waited called back another 30mins when i called again there was a lot of background noise again but thankfully the person on the phone could hear me. I told them my situation and she stated that the cancellation had not been done. She stated that she would process it and it would automatically return my points and credit by the end of the day. I thought this was odd because i had placed many orders through the app before and one item was missing before they were able to return my points on the spot. I thought i would give them the benefit of the doubt. I am reaching out to you because i feel that this was not handled property and was being brushed of by multiple people. I came in around 830 pm and everyone was being turned away. We were told they were closed although the door was open and the posted hours clearly indicate they close at 9 pm. I immediately went on Yelp to confirm hours and also indicated they close at 9pm.
