When I walked in, there was an older man in the shop who appeared to be the only employee present. As soon as I began to ask a question, he held his finger up at me and told me to wait while he continued texting on his phone. I stood there patiently for about five minutes while he remained focused on his phone and never acknowledged me again. There was no apology, no explanation, and no attempt to assist me. It gave the clear impression that helping me was not a priority. After waiting and realizing I was not going to receive any service or basic courtesy, I left. Feeling a bit worried that my check up would take forever, they quoted me about 1.5hrs to do the standard checks including brakes, tires, fluids, and oil change and it actually ended only taking 1 hour! Very thankful that they were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule and take care of my car efficiently with friendly service! They've won me over and I'll definitely come back again in a few months for the next service date. I needed a transmission rebuild according to my regular mechanic. Charlie first checked if it might be a smaller, less costly issue, but in the end I did need the rebuild. Charlie's quote was very reasonable compared to quotes I got elsewhere and he honored it exactly. The work was done quickly and well, with great communication throughout the process. TRIED TO SCAM ME I…read morerecently purchased an R129 and brought it to High-Tech Automotive for a standard inspection. Only issue was a vibration at highway speeds. They presented me with an almost $4,000 estimate -- not including the required alignment that their recommended steering/suspension overhaul would have triggered -- and claimed several issues that simply weren't remotely real. One of their recommended repairs had already been completed recently. Another, which they described as "oil spewing everywhere," was later inspected by a second shop, who showed me in plain view that there was no leak, no seepage, and no mechanical issue whatsoever. To verify everything, I took the car to a trusted independent Mercedes specialist that my friend has used for years. The new assessment could not have been clearer: the repair list from High-Tech Automotive was unfounded, exaggerated, and appeared to be an attempt to take advantage of a customer they assumed wouldn't verify the work. Based on my experience, the estimate was misleading, inflated, and not supported by any legitimate diagnosis. Stay FAR away from this shop UPDATE: was just a bent rim, $150 repair. Not $4000!
