I have an email from vons about covid vaccination. My email has been hijacked with allot of junk and spam but I am interested in obtaining the vaccine. I was born in Texas but I have been living in Sunland and Tujunga since 1972 long enough to remember when foothill blvd was all dirt. I came to this store with the hope of getting a flu shot a couple weeks ago but my private nurse refused to step foot on the property with me. She says she was bullied by a staff member at this store while grocery shopping for me. This was a secret she was keeping from me. She is a tough women but she is not a fighter. Covid-19 has changed everything for me at the doctor they are now mailing my prescriptions to my mailbox. I thought I could avoid all the sick people at the doctor and get my flu shot here but if those who care for me are subjected to discrimination here then something is wrong. It used to be biker gangs you'd have to avoid if you were not looking for trouble not the grocery store. I fought for this country as did both of my brothers and currently serving is my grand son in law. In recent years I've left the shopping to her and only came to pick up medications at the pharmacy. Any time I had a problem with my prescriptions Paul at the pharmacy always took care of it. Before I became completely disabled and did most of my shopping I remember it was always Cindy and Robyn who took care of me and were always a pleasure to see. I don't know what happened in this store or what has changed but my nurse is terrified and that ain't right so I'm leaving one star. read more

This store is fantastic. They have self checkout, employees are always kind + helpful when I have questions, their departments (bakery, meat, &deli) are in tip-top shape, the store is clean, they have a soup bar, and a Starbucks kiosk. There are so many complaints against this location but it's customers pointing out the things that the employees of this location can not control due to their company protocols which are meant for their own self protection. Believe it or not when someone steals or causes a disruption within the store the one thing employees are allowed to do (the only thing they can really do) is dial the police and unfortunately wait for the arrival of law enforcement so they can step in an take control of the situation but we all know by the time the cops arrive the said person causing mayhem will already be gone and out the door. It doesn't make sense why majority of the review for this location are based on things that don't pertain to the actual performance of the employees and how they are doing as far as customer service but instead are based on things they have no association with. Doesn't make sense but it just shows how unhappy people from this area truly are. Have patience and consideration when coming to this store otherwise you'll have trouble shopping here and will realize you need to shop somewhere else. read more

Last week was the first time I saw this new guy Adolfo. When I walked into the store he yelled at me like I was some dog. "You have to walk through the gates". Since when does a Vons Employee yell at a customer when he first walks in the store!!! I was pissed off at the way he ordered me to do what he said. I went back today, and found out he is a new Manager. Even when I left the store he looked at me like he wanted to fight me. He was a total smart ass saying have a nice day. The look he gave me was your not welcome here like saying FUCK YOU!! I have been shopping this Tujunga store for 40 years. My Pharmacy is at this Tujunga Store. To think that Vons Corporation Promoted a TOTAL ASSHOLE LIKE THIS TO MANAGER. Makes NO SINCE!!! I told the Supervisor Jesus about it today. He apologized for this assholes behavior, but he said Adolfo is his boss. So there isn't much he can do. This Vons is 2 blocks from my house so I like to shop there. His behavior made me want to NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. My pharmacy is there so I don't want the Hassle of changing pharmacy's. Every one in the Pharmacy is so nice. The other staff like Jaime is always friendly. If it was up to me I would FIRE THIS ASSHOLE!! I guess I will shop at Ralphs from now on. I will Only go to this store to get my Medications. The store has a weird smell when you walk in. Like the floors have been mopped with bleach chlorine. The bread and other items are not fresh and it has nearly 0 real organic items. Like the store is stuck in 1995. It literally feels like going back in time when you walk in. There is usually one or two cashiers and they are super slow. The self check out had no one assisting the customers. The items on the shelf are name brand big corporations with heavy emphasis on Coca Cola and Lays chips stocked way up in the front so customers can self indulge. The meat department poultry and beef have a dull purple red and off white coloring like they are from a few days ago. The exterior is usually full of sketchy individuals with tattoos and I even once saw a crack head sprinting across the parking lot. There is zero security guard presence outside. One guy works security inside at nights. I hope this store goes out of business and a Trader Joe's or a Whole Foods buys it. One can only hope! Cause the neighborhood is changing and people are buying up the houses at high prices and remodeling. Not the tujunga Sunland from 10 or 20 years ago. The business' should reflect the changing neighborhood. I now drive to the Trader Joe's in Montrose and the Ralph's on foothill. read more

If I could give this Vons a zero stars, I would. I never feel safe here. The produce here is terrible and moldy. Twice I have bought a bag of cucumbers, once I get home and open the bag I have mold at the bottom. There are kids than pan handle. There are transients in front of the store, sleeping in the parking lot or using their restroom to do gawd knows what. The other day a black dog was walking around INSIDE the store. Isn't that a health issue?!?! Another day I was walking inside the store when one of the employees was walking out picking, not just picking but digging up his nose. I stopped dead in my tracks and just stared at him. Not once did he acknowledge anyone or anything but his nose picking. Then he went and collected the shopping carts. Shopping carts, another issue. They are all over Sunland-Tujunga because these transients use them for their garbage. Why don't you install the lock system for goodness sake?? If you choose to shop here make sure you bring latex gloves or spray bleach for the carts. You have lost my business, I rather drive one or ten cities over then to shop here ever again. It's just not me, there are others who drive out of town to do their grocery shopping. read more

This place has gotten even worse. Time for another change in management. The good employees are transferred to Glendale while our disabled neighbors are forced to urinate themselves while waiting for a bathroom code. Not cool at all. I've seen several managers come and go from this location. Even the rude, obnoxiously long-haired woman I once complained about would not allow this place to go down in flames like it has gone. I wish she was back. She may have been a b***h, but the vibe of this store wasn't what it is now when she was on board. It's time for Alex to go. Clearly he doesn't care about our community. read more

This place is great. I can get all of the foods I need for living a healthy, active lifestyle and reasonable prices. I have to wait in line for what I purchase because it is a store. When I make my purchases, I am greeting by friendly humans who help me out. They frequently have all of the organic foods I am looking for, and the selection of non-dairy yogurts is good. The clearance section is frequently full of good stuff. Since I like to walk to this location frequently, most of the staff knows me and greets me. I am not sure what else I could ask for in a grocery store with such good prices. read more

Dirty parking lot, homeless guy always creeping me and my wife out EVERY time we go there. They need to clean up the outside too, the inside is ok. Service is typically poor except for a nice lady who usually works the morning shift. They always seem angry otherwise. I want to like it here but you gotta do something about the santa claus looking homeless guy pushing the cart around aimlessley, he creeps people out. The massive amount of high school kids causing chaos and drug dealers working the bus stop there don't help either. We drive further to the la crescenta store or trader joe's read more

Vons is a such a dismal place to shop. First, their prices are way higher than ralphs. Usually 15 to 20% higher. Than there is the stores specials you got to buy 2 of something to get special price. Their customer service is poor. The cashiers always get preoccupied when they check you out for example answering the phone or giving the keys to open the cig box. Ralphs is a way better choice at least for me. If you shop Vons its like throwing your money and time away. read more

I live in Sunland Tujunga for about 6 years and I had to go to Vons for infinite times to do my shopping. They are open till midnight and it is the closest store to my home. Their pharmacy section is also helpful since they help out people with their questions. I went there today with a question and the pharmacist helped me out and gave me some advice :). read more

This business will be closing soon. I can say this just by walking into the men's restroom. The local school children run this place. The staff could spend a few hundred dollars on graffiti removal. read more

Not a good place to shop. Not a large selection of anything. The place is dirty & very ghetto. I will never shop @ this VONS again.

The worst vons store ever seen... Soon to be closed as its MANAGER sucks even as a cashier.
