Love this store. The managers are all so helpful and the checkers are efficient and nice..the Sav-On Pharmacy inside has great compassionate pharmacists and workers who are always kind and lend me their ear when I need advice. I get all my vaccinations there and so does my 90 year old mother. The butchers are friendly good looking young men ready to serve and give advice. The deli section have the hardest jobs i believe and I commend them for their hard work. We love the app and getting deals and the sales and low prices. TODD is an outstanding manager who knows how to protect the store from thieves and makes me feel safe. Even the box boys are sweet and kind.. I want the entire team to feel loved by the people who come in there to get food and flowers and health care and fresh produce. It keeps us young to walk every aisle and to pick out nutritious food. Limited discounts or red tags, would like to see all the well lined up produce and dairy and meats have all the chances to avoid ending up adding to the massive food waste pollution generated by these big retailers who fail to promote the necessary sales or options which would help out farmers, consumers, and our future generations. One star is even too high for this place The vegetable isle smells like rotten potatoes. There is always expired salad mix rotting to hell. The manager is clueless. do not go to this store after 7:30 p.m. The store blocks all but 1 cash register and won't open up any other registers, no matter how long the lines gets. Expect to wait in line at least 15 minutes. The store has subpar produce and so so meat (no prime rated meat) and there are always solicitors outside asking to sign petitions. If I have a choice, I would go elsewhere. read more

Shout out to Mindy who was enormously helpful to me yesterday. My Etsy order containing ceramic pie dishes is apparently lost in transit. I needed them to fulfill an order tomorrow and Albertson's had a comparable dish but all other stores were either out of stock or they couldn't find it. A huge improvement they should make immediately that will cost them nothing is to get rid of the relentless petition takers that harass everyone on the way in and out of the store. They holler out their request to sign whatever they have and if you don't engage with them they revert to mocking people. I usually don't care to make reviews for grocery stores but this incident was weird. I grabbed my 7 items I needed and waited in the 1 register open at the time. I had no problem because it was around 20:30 although the line was very long. I was about the 5th person in line and I seen about 5 more people behind me with full carts except for the last lady in the back. Some employee named Michelle walked toward the line and said "15 items or less can come to register 8" so I proceed to follow her to register 8. Im the first one there and she points at a nice older couple next to me and said "you have these people in front of you." I had no problem and moved my items to the side and let them proceed first. She then points at a different lady that I remember I seen was last in line and said "she was in front of you too, it's supposed to be in order." I knew for a fact that additional person was NOT in front of me. Michelle then moved from the register and pointed at the last person in the first line and said "you're behind that guy" I was so confused because she said "15 items or less" anybody with working eye balls can see that guy had a full cart. Regardless he would not have moved into her line because he obviously had more than 15 items. I even said "well it looks like he has more than 15 items in his cart either way" then she said "no he doesn't" with a nasty attitude. She didn't scan any of my items so I just grabbed my stuff and went to the back of the initial line and waited an additional 10 minutes. Michelle might have to check her surroundings better and pay closer attention of who's in line if she's going to send people to the back of the line. Never had a bad encounter until tonight. Just straight up annoying and weird. read more

This place is terrible. Always very slow under staffed and seemingly indifferent management and employees. I will highlight my two most recent experiences. Unfortunately this place is closest to me which makes them my go to market, but those days are over. About a 2 weeks ago I arrived to see several people out front. Along with myself, several elderly and mobility compromised people were all looking for carts. Only three sets of two, stuck together which still wasn't enough for the 8 or so people waiting. When I went inside to ask, I surprised by the answer. I was met with, "I don't know what to tell you" and "there's some out there". When advised that the few there couldn't be separated the only response is that they couldn't find someone, a name of an employee. I asked which ever women seemed to be in charge and she didn't speak, only shrugged her shoulder. Vowing to never return I needed something from the meat department and quick so I returned last night. I waited at the meat department for approximately 5 minutes, ringing the bell probably three different times. Going to the front I asked a random employee for help. She said she would get someone and called over the loud speaker requesting assistance. Returning to the meat department I waited another 5 minutes, went to the produce section and shopped and returned after another 5 minutes. Still nothing. I wore that bell out and no one around. I heard them call over the loud speaker again and no one came. Back to the front to ask the manger and was told that the worker was late coming back from lunch and that he lives 5 minutes away. He added that there is no one that can help to which I questioned, if you knew no one can help, why the repeated calls over the loud speaker. It's clear that was done to placate myself and another persons waiting, with no intention or belief that would solve anything. He replied he was sorry and didn't know when the employee would return. Not surprising because the night meat department employee always seems to have an attitude and always complains about day shift. Ironically, the butcher and morning meat employees are always the only ones in the store who are responsive and helpful. It is clear the management here is severely lacking. They just don't care and sadly are nothing short of incompetent. Vons a few miles farther east is always well staffed and well managed. I suggest saving yourself some frustration and just going there instead. read more

This negative review is not for Albertsons, it's for the Starbucks located inside Albertsons. It's extremely upsetting that they never want to make fresh coffee. Example today I stopped by for groceries and coffee, waited in line only to be told they didn't have ice coffee. This isn't the first time I've been told this, honestly why can't they make more? You know what was there response? " we are told not brew more after at certain time because of product waste. Makes absolutely zero sense. read more

I had to come here and do it just for a business update. It still sucks literally, awful customer service across the board. The deli area is always staffed with folks that refuse to pay you any attention. Then when you finally speak up one of them will help with the biggest attitude ever. As if you forced them to work there or something. We all out here trying to face this awful economy last thing I need it some Ahole employees giving me a hard time when I just wanna make a damn sandwich for work lunch. I don't know why thus Albertsons refuses to install the self-check stands. I don't go thre a lit, and when I do, it's usually only for 2-3 things. that's the kind of thing that the self-check atands are for. in and out quick. but here, without them, you're stuck in the lines, which are routinely pretty long. I was just there today (a saturday, about 4:00), and there were 2 checkstands open. in the whole store. the line I was in backed up fast (i was the 8th person in line; I counted), before another checkstand was opened. the lines here are always long, which could be eased by addi g the self-check machines. but they don't do it. and they didn't have the cantaloupe and dr. pepper I was looking for. oh well. read more

This review is long overdue. I have been to this store several times since we moved and it is always clean. The aisles are wide and the store is bright. We have ordered the fried chicken for different gatherings and it is always a hit. As a matter of fact, my husband insists on it. The last time we placed an order, I called the Deli Department and spoke with Debbie. She informed me that they require prepayment for their deli orders, not a problem at all!! I made my way over to pay, and she is the sweetest lady ever!! I paid for my order and was on my way. On the day of pick up, she greeted me with a big smile and asked if I had gotten a shopping cart, which I did. She helped me load all the chicken and bid me good-bye. Again, everyone loved the chicken and we got lots of compliments; not greasy, very flavorful. Pro-tip: Ask for the dark meat. P.S. Do not complain about having to prepay.. let me just say I know that there have been times that people have walked out after picking up their party trays, or even birthday cakes. You might think you are sticking it to a corporation, but someone as sweet as Debbie, put the work in for your order. Don't be that guy. read more

I will definitely file a complaint with corporate and I hope that someone actually holds her accountable for her mishandling situations at the store. I was in your store again a few days ago.. So, I spoke with Mindy, in bakery. Took me more then 10min to get her attention because she was fooling around with some dirty guy in your bakery dept. I thought you had standards to work in those area.. needless to say, she was rude and uncomidating. So, she wanted to argue.. Ive dealt with her before, she says she's a manager but she not. I spoke to another manager who said she wasn't and that he would speak to her about what happened. Why do these things keep happening in that store.. for almost 2 years now, it's gone downhill. Went in to cash a check like I have done many times before. I first get told "we don't cash checks" by a person named faith who has worked there forever where her manager corrected her as well as I that they do cash checks. That last time Todd had to walk another manager through it. She then starts the process and tells me sign the back... (This becomes important later) Then after struggling to figure out how to do it, she walks in the back comes back out and smirkingly says "I don't have the cash, if you wait 10 minutes I can do it for you." And started semi laughing. After waiting she fumbles around and then says I don't have that kind of cash. And starts semi-laughing again. This made me have to go to somewhere else (vons, practically the same company) who also gives me a hard time and says try Rosie's market, who declined to cash my payroll check because the back was signed on it... Needless to say, faith needs to be trained on better customer service - shouldn't laugh when you just screwed someone out of 20+ minutes of their day for nothing and caused them a worse night by directing the person to endorse a check they "don't have the money to cash" (We both know you just didn't know how and didn't want to deal with it because your managers don't hire enough people at the registers or take the time to train their personnel correctly.) Secondly, what's the point of supposedly offering check cashing if y'all don't keep enough money on hand. Incompetence in the highest degree. Calling selecting the extension, after 10 minutes of music, a rang, than hang up. Is this a joke?

There's a new trick that Vons/Albertsons does to cheat you out of your digital coupon and/or club savings. A cashier showed me how this happens because she mistakenly did it then re-scanned everything and did it the correct way. What they do is hit total before you finish entering your phone number or scan your club card. That prevents digital coupons and club savings from being reflected. And they know it. The obese white dude just stared at me when I asked if my club card went through. The name will show up but the savings won't if they hit total before the club card going through. It's no wonder they don't install self-service registers here--it's the only supermarket in the area that doesn't have those--because they have more of an opportunity to cheat customers. read more

FAITH the employee her name is FAITH, laughed in my partners face for using coupons. Faith also slightly berated the autistic employee right in front of my partner & i, telling him about how wrong he was for taking his break or not telling her that he was on break or something alone those lines. But bottom line we were straight up laughed at multiple times by the Tujunga Albertsons employee named Faith. Because we wanted to use coupons. Crazy you're working at a grocery store making fun of people for using the coupons provided. Ruined our Super bowl Sunday completely. Thanks Faith! read more

Okay honestly I am very disgusted and disappointed with my local Albertsons. It's literally down my street and my go to for groceries and I spend minimum 200 for each visit. This last visit half the things I purchased were expired. The expiration date for the cheese I purchased was September and we are currently in November. The berries were super soggy.. I guess it's my fault for blindly trusting the products are fresh and ready to go. Will definitely NOT be bringing business here anymore. ***CLEAN RESTROOMS*** I like this location because of the friendly and helpful staff, especially in the deli counter. I also like that they provide clean restrooms for the customers (with soap that actually smells good!). When I had a knee injury, I used their curbside pickup instead of hobbling around the store. You order ahead of time and they will shop for you and pack it. Then they will load it in your car. Thank you for offering this service. read more

I hate that the closest major grocery store to me is this Albertrons. It truly pains me when I need to go there and remember about their EXTREMELY SLOW CUSTOMER SERVICE. The store is not really crowded no matter what time of the day I go. BUT it is usually hard to find someone to help you locate items or answer questions. Also the registers are very slow. I've never seen people make big purchases here, it is usually under 10 items but still you have to wait 10-15 mins to pay. I do not want to be mean but maybe because most of their employees are in their mid-age years hence they are slower. Now on the positive side I like their bakery section and specifically their BREADS. They have good variety and always fresh. Their own made guacamole and tortilla chips are also very yummy and fresh. I sometimes get fresh food from their food court but I would not recommend to buy their chicken (fried or grilled) if it is toward end of the day. Probably they have been sitting there since morning and they are too dry and chewy at that time, SO AVOID! read more

I really like this location. It's one of the largest Albertsons. I like the comfort of the old-style feel of this location. There is so much parking. I've come on a weekend afternoon and it's not very busy. I enjoy have the elbow room of walking down the aisles and browsing without it being crowded with people stopping in the middle, leaving their cart and causing aisle congestion. There is a wide range of fresh produce and non-dairy products. I was excited to see a variety of Almond creamers instead of just one standard flavor like the other grocery stores. This location is fully stocked. It's literally a one-stop shop and I can find everythign I need. read more

I went to this store looking for a certain brand of coffee creamer that other stores were out of. There was a woman stocking coffee creamer on the shelf and when I asked her if they had one I was looking for and told her the name of it she replied "I don't have it" in the a very rude voice. No hello or smile first, no greeting. She didn't even look up at me. The rest of the staff isn't very friendly either. That's why I never go there and won't anymore. read more

This is a good grocery store. During the recent shelf-emptying tribulations caused by panic Covid-19 buying, this store still had plenty of stock. This is before the mandatory mask-wearing phase of the pandemic. When social distancing became the fad, this store was nice because of it's high ceiling, low aisles, and spaciousness. You could spread out easily without being crowded here. They maintained good prices and plenty of inventory. The bakery and dairy sections are a little weak, but overall I think it's a good go-to grocery store. read more

They have some decent sales. Their grocer was out on the floor stocking vegetables and he had a big box of scraps that he was going to throw out. I asked him if I could have them for my rabbit and he said that he couldn't. I don't understand why they can't give away scraps for a rabbit. This is probably the nicest Albertson's I've ever been to. It seems to me that Albertson's fall somewhere after Ralphs but before Food4Less. Gelson's and Whole Foods, of course, top the list. But the produce at this particular store is really fresh. I love how large and clean the store is as well. When it came time to buy a cake for my friend's shower, I decided to order it from the bakery here because it'd be easiest to pick up from. I called and got a quote. Only $26 for a half sheet! Wow, that's crazy. For an additional $6, I could get it with fresh fruit. They told me I just needed to call 24 hours in advance to order. I requested the pick up time of 11 a.m. At 11:15, they weren't quite ready with the cake yet. That fresh fruit I requested? I think they popped 5 pints of strawberries on the cake! Woah! That's a lot of strawberries. I found them trying to cram more on and pipe extra frosting on when I got there. They really did go beyond my expectation of "grocery store cake." Because there were so many strawberries on top, they had to inscribe the cake on the side. Fine with me! I'm sold on Albertson's cakes now. The chocolate cake itself was moist, sweet (but not overly so) and the strawberries were just perfect. read more

This Albertsons was under construction for quite some time and God knows why, cause when they reopened it, it looked practically the same. I do like the produce and meat department though... The rest of the place makes me feel oddly claustrophobic and unorganized. The main reason I'm giving this place three stars is cause today my daughter was like "I need to use the restroom.." So I thought, cool... I'll go to the local supermarket since we're driving and we're blocks away... Well, it was a very regretful idea! I walked in and it was ok, looks nice and then I look to my right where the urinal and the stall is and there is pee literally everywhere!!! EVERWHERE!! If she could have held it longer, I would have totally gone elsewhere, but I had to deal with it. I had to carry her practically the whole time, especially since she was wearing slippers. Seriously one of the most disgusting and unsanitary bathrooms I've ever been in, and you better believe since I'm all over LA daily, I have seen some nasty bathrooms. Makes sick just thinking about it. So.. Meat department and produce dept is cool.. STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THE RESTROOMS! read more
