I went to buy fish for a friend's dinner and wanted to get a salmon fillet. The butchers refused to cut the 2.3 lb fillet which was $13/lb... I was charged $33 for this and when we opened the fish at dinner to cook it was spoiled. My friend lives up the street from the market and had previously had good things to say about them. Also the man who helped me at the butcher counter was rude to me despite me being polite. They made me feel like asking to cut the giant filet was unreasonable... now it feels obvious they were just trying to get rid of the old fish especially since I went close to closing time. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience at the ST Market on Foothill Blvd. in Tujunga. This was my first time visiting the store, and I walked in by accident not knowing the layout. I asked a female employee in the cheese department if she could help me with the meat section. Instead of kindly directing me, she looked at me in a very dismissive and disrespectful way and told me I was in the wrong department. There was no effort to help, explain, or even point me in the right direction. As a first-time customer, this was very unwelcoming. Customer service should be about guiding customers--especially those who are unfamiliar with the store--not making them feel uncomfortable for asking a simple question. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. Zero customer service and not friendly at all. I would not return to this location. read more

So many choices and unfortunately I don't know what half of the items are, but well organized and the produce looked good. Produce and fruits are fresh. There are some stuff that are reasonable price, but I would say vegetables and fruits are more expensive than anywhere in the area but then again it's close in a neighborhood. It's always super fresh. Specially, the herbs and greens are super fresh and you can keep them in the fridge for at least a week they won't turn brown Stories is very clean and has a good parking area. Meat and deli is good quality. I will recommend but then again if the price doesn't matter for you, it's a place to go. Love st. Market. One of the newest establishments that has opened up in the Tujunga area. Absolutely love the cleanliness the moment you walk in you're greeted by the fresh smell of produce and all the beautiful colors of the organized items. One of the best aspects is that it's super modern. Everything is extremely fresh and new as well. Employees are extremely kind and respectful. Parking is surprisingly convenient. This market opened 2 months ago and I went in for the first time today. Sooo impressed with the quality, customer service, and overall cleanliness! This place puts Old Fashion Deli (where I used to shop for select Armenian foods) to shame and I'm so glad I don't have to go there anymore because now, we finally have an alternative Armenian market! I got some basturma today and it was the best tasting basturma I've ever had in my life. I got some prunes dipped in chocolate candies that I wasn't able to find elsewhere in the area. Got some pastas and great selection of olive oil and olives and cheeses and everything was so clean and fresh! Even found some jujube dates, imported snacks, crackers, chocolates, and they even had salmon eggs (caviar) for $75 a pound. Their meat section looked so fresh - I wonder if they make fresh bbq. I have never seen a service like this at a grocery store in Los Angeles. I am very impressed with every employee working at this store. I am a female who shops constantly at Armenian stores but has never been asked to be helped with the grocery bags to the car and actually put everything inside my car. And this didn't just happen once I encountered this many times I would say at least 3/4 times two times that i was very impressed ...one was a young guy and today an older men with white hair that was very very nice helped me to the car, both times that I tried to pay them as a tip just a little thank you they never took it they did not even look at how much it was, and they both told me "no we're helping you for free please," In America I'm not used to a behavior like this, because everybody that helps you here they expect you to tip them. I don't know the owners or the management team at the store but I'm so happy with it employees here that I wanted to congratulate him/her for creating such a good team and a store that is much needed in Tujunga area. the meat department isn't that great. Ive purchased meat and twice i had the same experience. The meat was bad and had a weird smell. I purchased and put in my freezer. A day later took it out and the smell was really bad. Called them they refused that their store sells bad meat. Obviously they did because i got it from their store. Also worst berries. Specially raspberry. If you open them all they all need to be thrown away but yet its for sale. They also bring stuff from Costco open the entire packet and sell individually.
