Los mejores shots saludables
Blanca L.

Fresh cut flowers

We were in town to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I needed flowers to fill a container I had brought with me from home. I was pleased with a few flowers that they did have available in the store and nice mixture of fresh flowers. I also was there to pick up a couple of bags of La Juquilita Oaxaca Moles. I asked the young lady if they carried it and she directed me to another employee who told me they were down aisle two or four I forget. That is not the kind of mole I wanted. So we decided to walk over to the meat department and sure enough we found the brand that our family prefers. I grew up on Doña Maria, but I have upgraded to the Oaxaca moles available. We also picked up a few pieces of Mexican sweet bread so glad we found a Vallarta in the area we live up on the Central Coast the closest one being in Santa Maria . A very nice store well kept and clean.

Chilaquiles

This Vallarta isn't really my go to place for grocery shopping. I come here mainly for the restaurant and had ordered several items on their menu. I had tried the fish tacos, chilaquiles, stuffed pepper among other things. The place is always busy but service is fast. I love everything so far! I feel like I'm dining somewhere in Mexico as food tasted authentic. They even make the tortilla fresh in the store. This Vallarta stands out among other locations. It is bigger, very organized, and very clean.

From time to time I purchase carne Asada meat for bbq nights at home. Their premium cut meat is good quality and they marinate it really good. Not sure about other meat products cause I haven't purchased anything else but carne asada. I also like getting cotija cheese and Mexican sour cream from here. It goes well with the bbq. Their produce department is pretty good as well with good prices on avocados, onions and much more. I always end up buying a few things from here too. They also have a small section of organic produce. The bakery area makes fresh tortilla every day, cakes, breads, etc.... They serve hot food if you want to have breakfast, lunch or dinner here ... a juice bar as well. Overall a great place to shop for Hispanic foods and products.

Got there Fourth of July conchas which tasted hard and stale the minute we opened it. One of the conchas had this slimy, brownish thing inside which we threw it away. We didn't put much thought into it and told ourselves maybe it was one of the raisins for other bread that accidentally got in. Later on the other concha, there was a plastic wrap inside the sugar coat. I know it's from there because if you look at the picture it's perfectly the same shape as the sugar. I will never get anything from the bakery again. That really disgusted me and now wonder what that brown, slimy thing inside the bread was?! It's too bad because my family used to really enjoy all goodies from the bakery.

After awhile I started to find what I needed and picked up a few other items as well. Was very surprised at how many shoppers were there at this time. I can't say enough about the cashier. The produce was good, as were the prices and the cashier made sure I received all the discounts available, which were significant. Overall an experience that was better than expected!!!

It has a great selection, it's clean, and the employees have always been friendly. I also appreciate that this store values inclusivity and gives meaningful employment opportunities to people who might not always be given the chance elsewhere. The only thing that has been a bit of a hassle has been renting their rug cleaners. The wait is often long (been stuck waiting for assistance for more than 30 mins on multiple occasions). I was also given a faulty rug cleaner that I had to come back and have replaced, which was kind of annoying to have to lug it back to the store and then once again wait to get a properly working one. But, all that aside, this continues to be my favorite store.

Do you ever find yourself driving further to a different location of the market that is your local?…read more Burbank's Ralphs seems to be more nice than my local. They have certain items in stock majority of the time and I enjoy their produce section a lot more. Its also convenient to other places I frequently visit in the Burbank area so it definitely adds a stop when groceries are needed. The only thing Im not down with is the bakery and sushi area. It is before (or after the checkout stands) so the flow is a bit off in my opinion. Parking: medium size lot in front and back of the market (2 entrances) VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

For whatever reasons, I've visited Ralphs' Burbank San Fernando Blvd. location on numerous occasions over the past couple of months. I was usually in the area for business and work, but something triggered me to reintroduce myself to this location I frequented when I worked at Sport Chalet in the Burbank Media Center Mall ages ago. Of all the grocery chains, I favored the Ralphs brand the most initially because my family shopped there all the time, but I also felt that their prices were generally lower than everyone else, they had better promotional sales, and their stores seemed more inviting. After these recent trips, would I continue to foster a bond with this Ralphs location or would I ralph at the idea!? PURCHASE(S) 07/07/26 TU ($54.76): On this most recent trip, I went crazy and bought six bags of chips because they were all on sale; my favorite Kettle Brand and an Asian brand named Calbee which I really enjoyed on a recent Japan vacation. Their 6pk romaine hearts were always a good deal at $1.00/heart. Their family-sized shredded cheese bag was always a staple for me, and then whatever randomness to fill the cabinets or day-olds for a quick meal. 05/30/26 SA ($25.88): Some bread for mom, more Kettle Brand potato chips, a couple of boxes of my favorite Yogi tea, and any random day-olds I found for quick meals to simply explore. 05/25/26 MO ($8.10): During this review, I've determined what brought me here after all of these years! After an evening of drinking and hanging out at a brewery in the city of San Fernando, I needed some inexpensive food (no fast food) on my way home, and my usual Glendale Ralphs location was out of the way, I hoped this location offered the same options. Thankfully, they did, and so an 8pc Ralphs Home Chef Baked Chicken for $4.95 and a 12oz Kroger Chicken Salad for $3.15 was exactly what I was looking for - boom! SERVICE I meticulously roamed the aisles as I tried to reacquaint myself with this updated version of a bygone time, and I found my intended purchases easily thanks to the proper hanging signage and shelf-talkers. Other than the friendly, efficient checkers at the registers, I explored freely as I dealt with no one else which was fine by me - thank you! PARKING (FREE) They had their own private lot (a former seafood buffet restaurant that has been closed for years still existed on the property) on a spacious corner, there was plenty of parking - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Noticeably smaller than their "standard" stores, this was your basic grocery store layout with multiple uniformed aisles, promotional end-caps, table displays, a floral/gifts area, and cashiers ready to take your money. I think it also housed a pharmacy and possibly the ubiquitous Starbucks. A decent amount of natural lighting came in through the large front glass doors and windows while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Burbank's San Fernando Blvd. Ralphs' location was very convenient in each of these cases, served my immediate needs, and I would certainly shop again. However, because of the smaller footprint, I felt there were less day-old/reduced options. Everything was similar to any other major grocery chain with many familiar brand name products. The prices were comparable if not slightly lower than their competitors (sign up for their FREE rewards program), parking was easy, and the service was straightforward (I couldn't recall if they had self-checkout). I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $89.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

I first found out about Handy Market on social media for their weekend BBQ about a month ago. As I had been craving bbq for a couple weeks now, I found today to be the best opportunity to give them a try. I placed an order for pick up the night before. I got kind of carried away with the order, as I wanted to try almost everything on the menu. The prices were absolutely insane! I think I ended up paying about 65 dollars for food that would easily feed me for a good 3 or 4 days. When I arrived to pick up my order at my pick up time, I had noticed my order was being packed. I asked the employees if I can leave my order with them for a bit so that I can pick up some meat inside the market. They obliged, and I went to the meat counter to order my beef back ribs to cook for tomorrow. For 5 pounds, I ended up paying about $34, which was definitely a bargain. They were also selling breakfast burritos and sandwiches in the store, which I found to be awesome. I took everything home and opened my bag of spoils. After I took everything out, I statted thinking of what I wanted to eat first and what I wanted to save for later. It was so much food that I thought I could feed an entire army. Definitely will be back for the breakfast burritos and sandwiches, and for the meats again, for sure!

However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.

First time visiting an Aldi store and i was not disappointed at all…read more On Sundays, they open at 9AM FYI because I got there early and noticed that it was still closed ( at 845AM) and also important to note, there are early birds already pulling up to start their shopping. The store layout is unique here compared to other markets that I shop at frequently. Still, they had fresh, beautiful fruits and veggies at very competitive prices. In example, I got a mint cucumber bag for under $2 a pack of 8. I came for the ahi tuna steak which are tasty when prepared correctly. They carry a little bit of everything, from food items to office supplies, hygienic items, toys, etc. Not a huge store but there is plenty to browse. The check out process was different; when it was my turn, the belt where all the items scroll on, ends at the moment where you are about to pay; making it awkward and a tad bit pushy to bag your own items quickly, as they may fall due to the limited space left there for your items. Overall, a pretty cool store to add to my list.

On the afternoon of June 12, 2026, my 14-year-old son and I checked out with Olivia. We had only about a dozen items, and there was no one waiting behind us. Since my son is not accustomed to Aldi's self-bagging process, he was trying his best to bag our groceries but was moving a bit slowly. Rather than adjusting her pace, Olivia continued scanning rapidly and placing items into the cart, including some in the child-seat area. At one point, our half-gallon of milk nearly fell out. I understand that Aldi's business model emphasizes speed and efficiency, and I generally appreciate that. However, customer service should still matter. Because there was no line behind us, I was surprised that there seemed to be little patience for a young teenager who was genuinely trying to help. When I commented that things felt rushed, my concern was either misunderstood or ignored. At the end of the transaction, Olivia held my cash while waiting for space to place a frozen pizza that was still on the scanner. While her explanation made sense operationally, the overall interaction felt cold and unnecessarily rushed. Perhaps she was having a difficult day, but the experience came across as impatient and passive-aggressive rather than helpful. I want to emphasize that nearly every other cashier I have encountered at this Aldi has been friendly, patient, and accommodating. This review reflects one disappointing interaction, not my overall opinion of the store. I will continue shopping here, but I hope management reminds employees that efficiency and courtesy do not have to be mutually exclusive.
