John 3:16 Ranch Market lowkey hits I got the Dubai kabob plate and it was actually fire. The kabob was juicy, rice was good, and the cucumbers made it fresh. Portion was solid too, not small at all. Everything tasted fresh and came out quick. I'd for sure come back for the same thing. If there was more than 5 stars I would give this place 1000.

My husband and I love this new market! We have tried the "Chicken Lule Kabob Plate" and "Chicken Luke Kabob Sandwich," and both were absolutely delicious. The meat is so tender and perfectly seasoned and we really enjoy the mix of sides. The staff is super friendly, and always very helpful for us as Armenian food novices. This is our new go to for quick grocery runs. Highly recommend

Chicken BBQ meal

I've been eagerly waiting for this place to open, and it absolutely did not disappoint! It's an adorable market filled with fresh produce and a wide variety of unique items to browse and buy. They also have a full-service meat counter, refreshing drinks, and freshly prepared foods. One of the highlights? You can also order a full meal on-site. I tried the chicken barbecue plate, and it was fantastic--the chicken was perfectly tender, the rice was flavorful, and the hummus was fresh and delicious. Everything was clearly made with care. To top it all off, the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and friendly hellos. Whether you're shopping for groceries or grabbing a meal, you really can't go wrong here. Stop by and treat yourself to something truly delicious!

Big Square is my favorite market for bread and flowers! If…read moreyou love traditional Puri bread, this is the place! Made with quality flour and baked fresh hourly, they are usually served hot from the oven, and I can't resist eating 1/4 of it before I get home. The fresh cut flowers and plants welcome you into this Armenian market, with tall, vibrant roses unlike those found at most florists. Big Square also offers a solid selection of produce, meats, pastres, alcohol, and other goods. Specialty items like Armenian coffee, unique condiments, and hard to find deli products are always available. For meat products, they have frozen quail, which is usually difficult to find... however, I have never been a fan of their other meat items. The one time I purchased shank and liver, it wasn't as fresh and of quality I anticipated. Parking can at times be difficult and drivers are a bit aggressive. I suggest shopping here during slow hours vs. peak times.

The shelf tag directly under it said $18.99. At home we saw on the receipt that we had been charged $59.99. We came back around 6:30 PM and found that the $18.99 tag actually belonged to a different product, Miramistin, which wasn't even on that shelf. It was simply placed under the Monural. Monural had no price tag of its own anywhere, and there was no $59.99 tag on any of the medicine shelves, so the only price a customer could see was $18.99. The product names on the tags are printed in tiny font, while the prices are large and bold, so it's easy to read the price and miss which product it's for. When we explained this at Customer Service, the first thing the employee said was "So what do you suggest?" There was not a single "sorry." She offered to refund only half of $59.99, because one of the two sachets had already been used. We said it was the store's mistake and that it looked like deception. She replied that yes, there was a mistake, but it was ours, not theirs: we should have read the price tags more carefully and checked the total at the register. Then she said: "I'll give you your money back since you say it's deception, but don't buy anything here anymore." We got the $41 difference plus tax, $45.51 total. Even then, the employee first tried to take back the medicine we had already paid for, and handed it back rudely when we pointed this out. That's how the store treats regular customers. A simple "sorry, our mistake" would have been enough. Check your receipts carefully if you shop here, and make sure the shelf tags actually match the products. Photos of the shelf and both receipts are attached.

On the contrary, the service has always been high, even better than in many other stores. As for the manager Lilit, I can only speak positively about her. From my personal experience of communicating with her, I can say that she has a high level of professionalism, and it is unacceptable to offend someone on a personal level. I have personally seen her benevolent approach to each customer. Although problems can arise in any store, this is not a sufficient reason to offend or treat a person disrespectfully. As for the general level of the store, I can confidently say that it maintains very high standards.

The level of care and customer service back then was completely different. Recently, I had a very disappointing experience with the current manager, Lilit. I returned chicken that was clearly uncooked--not for a refund, but simply to make them aware so it wouldn't happen again. Instead of handling it professionally, she became defensive, raised her voice, and insisted the chicken was cooked, essentially accusing me of lying. As a long-time loyal customer, that was very upsetting. I was respectful, but the way I was treated was rude and dismissive. This is not the kind of service Golden Market used to be known for. Because of this experience, I highly discourage anyone from going there. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend it to my family or friends. I truly hope management takes this seriously and brings back the level of respect and customer care that Soorik and Ofelia once provided. Btw I Think she needs to know that she is just a manager at local grocery store and she is super uneducated and low class.

Honestly, it's the cleanest and most organized international market I've ever been in. I was browsing for breakfast options and looking over the vegetables when a sweet elderly gentleman greeted me with a big smile, speaking Armenian. I didn't understand a word, but I could tell from his tone he was asking if I needed help finding something. I just smiled and said "thank you, thank you" -- I couldn't understand him, but the warmth came through loud and clear. A little while later he came back and, gesturing enthusiastically, insisted I try their beautiful tiramisu. I'm a traveling teacher with just a cooler in my car and one mouth to feed, so I pointed to myself and held up one finger to explain it was just me. He seemed curious about where I was from, so I pulled up the Yelp app on my phone and told him I'd driven up from San Diego after finding the store online. That's when the owner stepped in, laughing and saying something like "don't mind him." I told him not at all -- his colleague had given me such a genuinely warm welcome. The owner asked what I was trying to communicate, and once I explained, he translated the whole thing for the gentleman. He then asked if I wanted any recommendations, and of course I said yes. He suggested sliced meat, a mix of green and black olives, cucumbers pickled with beets, and sliced cheese. When he asked if there was anything else, I remembered I needed vegetables, so I went back to grab those. While I shopped, he came over and made me a fresh cup of coffee, on the house. He asked again if there was anything else, so I asked what else he'd recommend -- he suggested sliced halibut and a couple other fish, told me to take three pieces, then prepared and packaged everything himself on a tray. As I got ready to leave, he asked me to come back, and I asked for his card -- he handed me three and told me to share them with all my friends. He even offered to let me sit out front and enjoy my coffee, but I had to get back on the road to Santa Maria. Just before I walked out, he stopped me one more time: "Before you leave, I'd like to give you a bottle of Armenian water -- it came all the way from Armenia." And that tiramisu I'd been eyeing? I ended up bringing it home with me, and it did not disappoint. I left thoroughly impressed. The genuine warmth, the care, the way they made me feel like part of the family after just one visit -- this is what makes a place special. I'll absolutely be back, and I'm bringing friends next time.

Their produce department was organized and everything looked fresh. The selection on freshly baked bread and lavash was amazing as well. The deli was full of cold cuts and more. The meat counter, pre-packaged sections, and deli offer by far the best selections in the area. The deli is where I visit most frequently, and it is truly a standout department. One of the associates there--I believe her name is Gloria--is by far the friendliest and most caring worker I have ever encountered. She makes an effort to remember your name and treats every interaction with genuine care. When she is busy working on an order, she will politely tell others, "I am helping my customer." That level of pride and personal ownership is incredibly rare these days, and she deserves highest praise. This store has a fantastic team, and Gloria makes every visit a wonderful experience!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the delicious smell of baked goods the permeated the air. The second thing I noticed was how pristine everything seemed to be. The displays were all lovely. For the most part, you'll find the same items that you see at chain supermarkets, except the prices here are a bit higher but not as outrageous as Erewhon. I ended up paying $3 for a grapefruit. Ouch! Renaud's Bakery is on site, and you can get freshly baked Wolfgang Puck Pizzas. There is also a deli counter, butcher, & fresh seafood too. The lady at the register was genuinely nice. *Private parking lot.
