I have been going out of my way by a number of miles to shop at Von's really like some of the people working there. Great attitudes. A couple of days ago I stopped in with my wife and we did our shopping. I needed to use the restroom and when I went in, it was in terrible condition filth I couldn't use the toilet it was filled to overflowing and the seat was. Well you get the idea After we returned home we called and spoke to the manager. She told us she would report it to the nightly cleaning crew. Said They have no procedure to do anything during the day. Just left the filth there all day. Disgusting We will not be back to Von's. If they allow filth bathrooms what must the rest of the store look like? read more

During this time when we are all suffering from being advised to stay home, stay away from super markets and such,I appreciate the service of Von's pick-up service. Place the orders on-line, and arrange a pick-up time. Some times there are a few kinks in the system, but Von's tries to resolve any issues. Carmen, is a real asset to her department, always friendly, and helpful. This is certainly appreciated, and kudo's to all of the hardworking staff, that are trying to get us all through these unusual times. Thank you, again VON'S LA QUINTA read more

Vons is our go to grocery store for everyday items. Since it's actually a Safeway store, prices are very good. We usually find what we're looking for, on occasion they will have a few shelves in the store bare with nothing on them. And we have found a few of the employees extremely fun to talk with. For the most part this store does a good job. read more

This Vons was nice , clean , bright and had a good selection of items. Something you come to expect from Vons. Check out was quick and friendly. I would definitely come here again if I was in the area. read more

pharmacy issues I had a 10:00 am appt for my shots. Previous appts they did ok, but this time I had to sit in the waiting room over half an hour. 10 is the first appt of the day. I went out twice to see what the problem was. The 2nd time the pharmacist says we're kind of busy today with other things. WHAT am I, unimportant In your scheme of things? I had to sit in the room with a hacking young man for most of that time watching for the their access door to open. Meantime this young person isn't even wearing his mask. Yet accompanied by an adult that was. After about 15 min another worker entered for a different function and walks into her own little room. I mentioned to her the maskless hacker and she came out and told them to mask up. Now I don't usually stay in tight enclosed spaces, but I wanted my shots for travel so felt compelled. WHY am I doing this review? You guessed it, I'm sitting home hacking my head off. And not real happy. BTW I m a very unhappy senior citizen. read more

People are so friendly here! Usually don't rate markets but tonight the staff was very helpful and friendly--makes shopping happier

This is a post for the hiring manager who works there. I was interviewed and asked a series of questions, then was asked why I left some of my previous jobs. I decided to be really honest even if I looked vulnerable, and in turn I was belittled , made out to lie about what I was saying, and wasn't cared for with empathy. Some of her quotes, "Let me tell you about death in the family, my mother died and I only had 3 days to grieve then I went back to work so I need you to be real honest here", "I'm going to give you some time to think about this because it takes a lot of money to hire you, did you know that?" I have never been insulted or made to feel this low in a professional environment, it's been a couple of years and I still grieve my brother everyday and miss his presence so no I wouldn't have expected my last self to have been okay with just a week off of work and I made the right choice for myself back then. And if that made me seem unreliable or distasteful then so be it but keep your opinions about that to yourself. And to accuse me of lying about something so serious when I just wanted to be honest, because that's who I am, is messed up. She's a horrible person who lacks empathy and I would never want to work for someone who doesn't treat their employees with respect or empathy for day to day life situations we could never control. We are HUMAN not robots. By the way I hope you have a horrible time in Hawaii. read more

Okay, I wish the assistant manager wasn't so rude when I was checking out to buy some groceries. She made me feel like it was my fault for not telling her that her machine was down when I first walked up to her lane. Unfortunately I wouldn't have known that her credit card machine was down when she asked me to go into her lane since she was just opening up her lane. When I was trying to pay, I did mention that I wasn't able to pay. She just gave me a dirty look. Now you got a very unhappy customer and will not ever come back to this store. read more

Ordered groceries for delivery via Vons.com as a group of us were traveling in from several different locations so this should have been the quickest easiest way to get everything we needed and it was when our food finally arrived. It was to be delivered between 3-4pm perfect well there was a extremely upsetting situation on the freeway effecting traffic when we called to advised we were running late they offered to move our order to the next truck and we were advised that we would be the first delivery from that truck which leaves the store at 4pm. 6:15pm still Nothing when we called customer service they were so rude and said there was nothing they could do to help at this point it, we were told we created the problem by calling to move our order. Our only question was is the food on the way and is there an ETA so we can plan accordingly, nope! They advised that our food was delivered at 3:10pm no that is when it may have been moved, we were told the move wasn't logged and there was no way for them to check. The food arrived at 8:30 pm let's just say the driver bless his heart was wonderful and had a slightly different story. The store had called him to confirm our order was on his truck but no one called us back to advise. They substituted frozen lime aid with pink lemonade We order 8 ripe avocados we got 1 ripe and 7 hard as a rock. The head of lettuce looked rotten. There seems to be some substantial process gaps, customer service is sorely lacking and that is really the main point to this review I wish I was writing a glowing review but the man on the phone was sooooo rude! Very disappointing! read more

I'm a little confused on how to rate this store. I love that 1 time when they introduced the smaller shopping carts that I left food and I called in and they said they had it and they were going to drop it off at my house! WOW! That was super customer service. Things I don't like; 1. Over priced on everything compared to Staters Bros. 2. STARBUCKS inside has the worst baristas ever! They don't seem Motivated to work or have the training to make coffees. I have had multiple bad experiences and don't plan on going back. 3. Check out line- super long. Not enough staffing. 4. Bakery isn't stock enough. 5. Unfriendly staff. Lady at the check out.... Was very rude and other on numerous occasions. I only stop here if it's a certain beer, baguette or soup I need.. Not my first choice but just if I need that certain thing. read more

Ericka and bakery staff were awesome! They assisted me with a last minute order with such professionalism and courtesy! Most places will not do this. Overall way too busy. Last visit was treated very rudely by a checker who insisted that I go to the line and wait even though there was no one in the line and several checkers were empty. When I mentioned to this gentleman that no one was in line he insisted i push my cart to the empty line and back before checking me out. Maybe I will try Albertsons down the street instead. read more

I don't shop here often enough but if they were closer I would. Clean store fairly good prices. I like having Starbucks while I shop.

I travelled from San Francisco to Palm Springs for five days and ordered my grocery shopping online, to be delivered at 8am this morning. There was a security issue with my card as I was out of town. Vons cancelled the order and never told me. An email would have been appreciated I established this after I called several numbers and hung on for around 20 minutes. I reordered, but the delivery did not arrive at the new time . I have now been here waiting for three hours. I had to make two further calls with a wait time of 20 minutes each time. I was first told the order was on the van. Second time that it should have been here 8 minutes past the end time and that someone would call me to let me know where it was. Nobody has. I called again and was told there was a problem. with the store and would now be here 3.5 hours after the the agreed time. (12.5 hours after the initial order). I was afraid to go and purchase the food in person in case the order did turn up. I asked if the order had In fact ever been processed to be told it hadn't, even though I have an email telling me what was not in stock. This system DOES NOT WORK. Go to somebody else who can actually make this happen. here's hoping the order actually comes as I have guests and no food or drinks in. read more

Awful grocery store. Stay away. Staff is friendly, but management of this place makes Walmart look like the Ritz.

Terrible customer service. I have gone like 10 times and everytime a different employee is terribly rude if you ask for any help at all. If you're looking for amazing customer service go to Gelson's. If you want any kind of cutomer service, go ANYWHERE ELSE other than Vons at La Quinta. Other Vons are okay. read more

I purchased $210.04 worth of groceries at this store today. When I attempted to use the 'Holiday $20' coupon from the paper, I was told I could not because I had purchased 1 bottle of wine and alcohol is not included ($8.87). What about the other $200 I spent? No more large orders at this store. read more

They are very friendly here, but hard to find help in various departments. They seem to have done a mini makeover in a few departments like produce and the wine section, but the staff seems to congregate in front of the store by the cashier/customer service area. Although they are always very friendly, but I asked if I got the discount on the wine I purchased which was a U link discount that was supposed to be linked to my Von's card. I had downloaded the app on a prior visit. With the app you select special discounts for items only available with the app. You can even scan the bar code and it links to your shopping list on your card. Well it's supposed to work that way, but I got home and realized I had not received the additional $2.00 discount on the Rodney strong Chardonnay I purchased even though it shows on the app. Bumber read more

WEDNESDAY delivery. Due between 6-7PM. Calls at 7 PM. Equipment problem. Won't be there until 8:30 PM. At 9:30 PM calls .."you'll have to reschedule tomorrow". This was food order for very sick family member. Father missed grandson's football practice. SO now it was rescheduled for FRIDAY (too late for THURS) between 10-11 AM.. just called and said "won't be there until 12:30 " DO YOU BELIEVE IT? I've had delivery for months, but something is usually missing or eggs broken.. this is the first time they've totally screwed up on Delivery. SO virtually 3 days of having to deal with a simple grocery order. I asked driver if they switched out the milk/eggs to make sure they were fresh. HE HAD NO IDEA. USE at your own risk. I never will again. read more

I have been using Vons.com delivery service for almost 2 year. It's always been pretty good. My biggest complaint has been that if there was an issue with the products I received (or didn't receive), the instruct you to call an 800 customer service line. Every time I would call, I would consistently have to wait on hold for 30 minutes or longer. They would always credit me for the issue, but the hold time was ridiculous. Now I have had nothing but issues the last two weeks, this week being the worst. I ordered groceries to be delivered between 8-9 am. At 9 I hadn't seen my groceries so I called customer service. Waited on hold for 15 minutes. Was told that the driver was running 30 minutes late but was on his way. Requested that in the future if they are running late to call. At 1015, I still hadn't received my groceries. I called customer service again and was on hold for ten minutes. Was told that the driver was running 2-3 hours late. Again, no one called me. At this point I was very upset as it disrupted my entire day. I finally received my groceries at noon. As I am going through my order, the milk expires two days ago, the ground beef expired today, chicken expires tomorrow (not to mention I was charged twice for the old chicken) and I received none of the cheese I ordered. I will obviously be credited for all of this but that is not the point. I have my groceries delivered for the convenience because I have a small child and work full time. I now have to find time to get to the store to get the items that were bad which defeats the purpose. I think it's time to find a new delivery service. An update on this review. The delivery driver filled out a form to refund me for the expired products, a week and a half later I have not received my refund. I called customer service and nothing was put through so now I have to wait a few more days for my refund. Completely unacceptable. And do you think a manager has reached out to hear my concerns and respond on how they will improve, nope! I have now found another service and will no longer be using Vons.com or be visiting their stores. read more

Sad to announce this horrible experience because I truly like Vons I go there almost everyday for my lunch but however after today I won't ever return to this location again .... I had my 12 week old puppy with me on my lunch hour so I put a towel down in a shopping cart and brought her in while I ordered my sandwich real quick while in line Manger Cassandra comes up to me and says that I can't have my dog in a cart or in the store period .... I explained that she is a puppy and not fully vaccinated and she can't touch the floor and it's way to hot to leave her in a car ... I told her I'd be quick and leave as soon as my sandwich was done ... I asked her is it because she's not a service dog and she no at our store here it doesn't matter even if she was a service dog we don't allow them in here because we've had too many complaints she also mentioned it's because they are touching the shopping cart (which my dog wasn't because I had a towel down) so this remark leads me to believe that they don't clean or disinfect shopping carts. My brother works at a different Vons location and I have brought my other dogs in there with no issues I feel I was discriminated on due to the breed of my dog I feel if she was a Yorkie puppy no one would have said anything!!! Stay away from this NOT ANIMAL FRIENDLY VonS!!! read more
