I have used Von's for various modifications to my dori tee van and just used them to repair hit and run damage to my BMW. My truck was recently broken into on the property of the apartment complex where I live. Do not take your car to Von's. I was warned by the tow truck driver when he picked up my car after an accident. I told the tow truck driver I didn't have a lot of choices and that Von's was on my insurance company's "approved" list. I wish I had heeded his words. I should have taken the time to find out another location that was an approved vendor in Tucson. Twice I have been told my car would be "ready on Friday". As of right now, that was two weeks ago. I called today and spoke to the manager, but he could not give me a firm date of completion. My only outstanding repair is the headlight cover. One of the worst places I've done business with. Over the course of 6 months that they had my car (while waiting on backordered parts) I had to reach out every couple weeks in attempts to get any kind of update. Not a single time we're my calls returned. After getting my car drivable (while still waiting on more exterior parts to arrive) another 6 months went by and I heard nothing. After finally reaching them it turns out they had the parts for some time and were just sitting on them while of course not bothering to communicate that with me. Then I drove all the way down to get the final parts put on they told me they couldn't find them. Do yourself a favor and never give this place your business. read more

This was my first time using this shop. They replaced my back bumper and impact bar on my kia. The day that I dropped it off, Garrett came out and did the inspection. He also told me that they would check for any other damage which there was after they took off the bumper. He also, told me that they would buff out my front headlights and try to glue the front part of my bumper on the driver-side which was pulled out. I picked up my vehicle 6 days later, the work on the bumper and paint job was fine. My complaint is that they put 13 miles on my vehicle. They also didn't buff out the headlights or try to glue the front bumper like he told me he would do. I was never told that my car would be taken for a test drive in the first place. I would have told him no. I have an extended warranty that is based on miles and I already put over a 120 miles on it a day for work. I am not sure where they drove it to put on those miles. There was also another person that rode in the car because the passenger seat was moved back. This business had no right to drive my vehicle off the lot with another person in my vehicle. I am very upset about this. This is bad business on their part. I won't use them again just for this reason. They don't communicate nor did they follow through with what they told me they would do. read more

No exaggeration, believe me when I tell you that THIS is the repair shop you want to go to! I wouldn't use anyone else. Seriously, these guys are the BEST! My experience, and unfortunately I've needed them more times than I'd like to mention, but the nice thing is they are always friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgable, dependable, and again, so darn nice! Bottom line: all around UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! Not ONE detail I would change, except maybe 1/2 off coupons after multiple accidents... say 10? I have drivers, so what can I say. Seriously, in my opinion and personal experience (s), THIS specific shop is close to perfect. That's saying A LOT because I'm a business owner, so my standards, to say the last, are HIGH. If I'm going to give you my business, I expect the best. Not in just one area, but from everyone employed and every part and aspect of your business. No excuses. I didn't think it would make much difference which one I chose. I was wrong! Other shop ended up being not only more expensive, but more than their original quote, and can you believe it, the end sum was more than Von's HONEST and ACCURATE estimate! That has NEVER happened at Von's CARSTAR! I'm glad I found Von's afterwards, only wish it was sooner. I should mention that a family member learned about my frustrating experience with the other car repair shop and highly recommended Von's CARSTAR. I also know many other businesses who use them. They know what they're doing... professional, knowledgeable, helpful, fair and honest... they actually care about their customers (OMG)! Like I said, I'm aways VERY happy with their service. If I could give negative stars, I would. Our car was involved in a minor accident in November. The fault was with the other driver, and in an attempt to send us to a place close to us, the insurance company sent us to Von's. The work was done in a relatively timely manner. After a day or so, we started to notice that some things seemed off with the repair. The damage was done to the drivers side door; the other person had run into me. Some of the molding they repaired on the window fell off. We returned, and were told they needed to order a part to fix it, since it had it not been put on correctly. A week or so later, the new part was installed by Von's, and again, we noticed an issue. They had installed it where it was not flush with the window- there was a large gap between the molding and the door. Finally, I called the insurance agent, who offered to take a look at our car at a new body shop. Both he and an employee from the body shop said Von's had done a terrible job. They saw things we didn't see- there were bubbles under the paint, and apparently they had not attached our door correctly, which is why the window molding wouldn't sit flush against the window, because the door was sagging! Additionally, they had GLUED the bottom molding back onto the car instead of attaching it correctly with hardware. The new body shop had to redo everything they did, and even found dents that Von's missed in the original repair. Lucky for us, everything was fixable, but it was horrible and frustrating. My car was recently rear ended and insurance from the other driver recommended a few repair shops. I chose Von's car star because it was close by and I'm sure glad that I did! Everyone in that shop is incredibly nice and helpful. They kept me consistently updated on when my car would be done and what exactly they were doing to it. They even buffed out a couple scratches on the car not related to the rear ending incident for free. My car looks so awesome! As a recent graduate from U of A, I am not very familiar with repairing cars and or repair shops and they really made this a painless experience for me. They're amazing! I would give them more stars if I could! The first time I went to them for a BIG scratch on my car. The estimate was over $1K. They had my car for one day and called to tell me that they were able to buff the scratch out and it was only going to cost me about $200. No need for insurance! The 2nd and 3rd time I went, I was expecting to pay $1K+ to replace my bumper (per other companies estimates). They fixed it for free! A few bumper clips and I was on my way! I would like give vons a positive feedback. I once had a minor accident for the first time, and it really hurt the front bump and one of the front tire. I had changed the temporary tire to drive home, and I reported the claim online with Progressive. They suggest me that I can give a shot to Von's as it the one closest to me! Then I drive it there the second day. They took care of me really quick to have things all checked. I was really worried about it and almost gave them a call to make sure the progress each day, the woman seems name Vanessa help me check every each time, and sent me the estimate the third day they got my car. I would really want to thank for repairing in a really timing manner. I have got my car back within a week. Once we had some misunderstanding on the time for picking up, they offered the pick-up service for not waiting at the office for hours. It seems they did great work on repairing and re-painting! WOW! First of all, let me start off by saying I HATE body shops, I hate auto repair places off all kinds. These guys are amazing!!!!!!! I work very close to their shop, so I selected it from the preferred shops provided by my insurance. I expected it to be a pain, since, as I said before, I'm not really a fan of auto repair shops of any kind. My 2014 car received hail damage during the summer storm. I took it in, got an estimate, and scheduled the work for last week. The car was done perfectly, and they even detailed it so well that I can't get it back from my husband!! It looks like when we bought it. Everything was handled so well, from the rental car arrangement to the pick up of the vehicle and all of the paperwork being put in a nice folder so it doesn't float around my car for 6 months before I throw it away. I have been using Von's since my first fender bender about 15 years ago. Though I have not had too many fender benders I have always taken my vehicles to Von's (except once and that is a nightmare I'll never repeat). From the road, the shop is small and unassuming and really doesn't look like much. I went there the first time because it was conveniently close to my office and was on my insurer's list of preferred shops. However, the service and work is nothing short of exceptional, every single time and that is why I returned. They are always thorough, explain everything and make it easy for you. I was sent to Von's to have my rear bumper replaced after a minor accident. Since I had never been in an accident, nor dealt with insurance claims I was worried that I'd end up with a poorly matched paint job, or shoddy repair. I just got my car back and Von's did a great job matching the color, gave me a some touch-up paint to take home, and had great customer service. I'm happy to have my car looking whole again, and glad that the process wasn't a hassle. I've had work done on my car after accidents on two occasions and both times, the work done was fantastic. Most recently, the insurance company's damage estimate exceeded its valuation of the car (i.e., how much they would write me a check for), but Von's found a way to do the repairs so I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for a collision that wasn't my fault. Since the parts took longer to arrive than expected, they also gave me a loaner car. In addition to the body work, they cleaned the car inside and out. Avoid this place at all cost. Carstar is a wonderful company, this franchise location however is very poorly run. I have heard great things about Carstar so when I was in an accident I figured I'd give Von's a shot. I had pretty significant damage to the rear end of my brand new car so it was in the shop for some time. I first came in and spoke with a man named John for an estimate. He came out to look at my car and went into his office to write it all up. While I was waiting I was bombarded by a very unkept woman, whos name I believe was Vanessa. These people must have really been hurting for business because she was a very good actress promising me all these things trying to get my business. Even though I was prepared to bring my car in already. I won't lie though after sitting in their office for roughly 30min for my estimate I was a little nervous to bring my car to them, with a combination of the unkept woman in the front and the very improperly dressed woman in the office to the left. I don't know what sort of manager would be ok having a woman in very revieling clothing wearing mile high heels walking out into a vey unsafe body shop, but he must be pretty inconsiderate to his male behavior. Now on to the repairs.... My car looked awful when I got it back. Parts werent painted properly. The paint did not match. It was full of dirt. Parts were still broken. They called and told me my car was done, failing to mention until I got there that there were parts that needed to be special ordered and would not be in until the following week. I was very annoyed at this fact. They must have some time quota they have to make with the insurance company. The lady in the front said she would call me when the parts came in. I did not recieve a call for 3 weeks so I called her. No one knew what I was talking about and ended up saying they had to re order the part. At the end I had to go back through my insurance company who sent me to another shop who had to redo the repairs. They had my car for an additional 2 weeks. When I got it back it looked absolutely amazing...sooo much better than when I got it back from Vons. I can say with all the time that I spent in that office for them to still do the repairs incorrectly I noticed their office to be very unorganized and their attitudes toward each other suck. I also witnessed a short slim man whom I believed to be the owner being very very rude to an employee that was behind a wall in the corner. I've never heard a person talk to an employee in that manager, It was awful. I felt like telling that girl to run away as quick as possible. So I'd say that if you want to witness employees being treated with incredible disrespect, a woman wearing almost nothing struting around for attention, be attacked by an unkept woman with horrendous breath, and have very shoty repairs Von's Carstar is for you.
