The collision repair consultant Oscar who helped me was very rude. He would not look me in the eye. He did not shake my hand. He was very short with his responses, when I asked him a question. After he was done looking at my vehicle he went into his office for about 10 or 15 minutes and then came back out with an estimate that was severely overpriced. I definitely felt price gouged. I had already been to three other repair shops for estimates. The other three estimates were all under $600. Oscar's estimate was for more than $1600. Needless to say I felt like I was being taken advantage of. But it wasn't just the over priced estimate. I'm not sure why I was treated the way I was. Our vehicle was side swiped and needed to have body work and suspension work. Dans Paint and Body had the vehicle for Six months. They told us the lengthy repair time was due to the need to find appropriate parts. When we got the vehicle back we took it to get new wheels and alignment. The alignment shop told us that they couldn't do alignment because none of the suspension damage had been repaired. Even though Dan's told us it was fixed and charged our Insurance for the repairs. We had to reopen our insurance claim and take the car to another shop. The other shop fixed the issue in less than a week. read more

The front desk ladies are super nice and very understanding. Oscar helped with the quote and was very considerate to me. The paint repair was really good to the point you would have never known there was damage. I would give it 4.5 stars for the cleaning of the car. Exterior was a tad dirty but it did rain before I picked up my car (understandable). The cleanliness issues comes from inside the car, cup holders was still dirty and some trash was still under the seat. Honestly it was a great experience overall. They also have it that I will be back in 6 months for another full detail, and that's something unique and cool. If need to go to a place, this is the place to go. They are also certified with most of not all manufacturers, so you shouldn't have to worry about your warranty. Have a great day. read more

Took my Volkswagen golf to get fixed due to a back up damage. They were very friendly and very accommodating. They were able to get me in quickly and take care of the issue. The quote was quick, and the estimate was accurate. Once I dropped off my vehicle. It only took him about a week and a half to get it all fixed. Once I received the vehicle back. It looks like no damage had ever occurred. It look like a brand new vehicle. The paint was perfect. Tucson has only two Tesla Certified body shops to choose from. We had to get our 2023 Model 3 repaired, and we decided on Dan's based on their reputation for quality work and customer service for over 30 years. While their customer service has been good, their quality of work has been lacking and sloppy. Our Tesla has been sitting there for 38 days, partly due to delayed receiving Tesla parts. When we first picked it up, we noticed issues such as scuff marks we couldn't get out, misaligned headlights, an unsecured door panel, and a loose pillar camera. It was returned immediately and has since been there. They never really accept responsibility or acknowledge the problems. They just agree to "take care of it." The biggest concern is with the steering, which is dangerously unsafe. The steering wheel is rigid when turned left and loose when turned right. Once we reach freeway speed, the car starts to drag to the right. While this issue may not be Dan's fault, as they send the car to Tesla for servicing, they refuse to acknowledge the problem. As a Tesla Certified shop, they should be able to identify when a Tesla is not steering correctly. Our car was only five days old when we got hit, and if Tesla cannot identify the issue, Dan's should ensure that they properly test drive the car before returning it to their shop. Overall, the service has been satisfactory. Dan's has not pushed back; they even provided a rental car. We appreciate their effort to correct the issues, but we fear this will become a blame game between Dans and Tesla. Ultimately, we want to avoid being left in the middle with an unsafe brand-new car. read more

Living in Arizona you expect gravel damage to your car at some point. Well I recently had the plastic casing of my headlight cracked by an errant piece of gravel, thankfully the headlight still worked. Brenda at Dan's Paint & Body helped by doing the photos for my claim and submitting it with State Farm. That was processed well before my repairs/payment had to take place. With all the supply chain delays we know about in 2021 I expected it to take a while. Thankfully both my car company AND Dan's Paint & Body reached out intermittently to let me know the status of the part we were waiting on. The day the part was delivered I received a call to schedule the repair at Dan's. I couldn't be more pleased by the service, communication, and professionalism of the staff at Dan's. Pro-tip: If you repair is only going to be an hour or two they have a lovely waiting room with a flat screen TV, sparkling waters, soda, and coffee. Dan's contacted me it was time for my follow up check after the body work repair from my accident a year and a half ago. I made an appointment and when I arrived I had a few additional requests to add. I told them I did not mind paying, as these requests did not have to do with the original work area. I had asked for some touch up paint, and a dash hole plug. When I had a battery installed elsewhere, the business did not replace a hood area plug. My car was returned to me washed and waxed, touch up paint handed to me and all the hood area plugs replaced. No charge. Since my last visit they also have changed the flow inside a bit. There is a waiting area down the hall with soft drinks, a TV and water/coffee. Nice comfy chairs too. Some one comes to get you, and you leave out the waiting room door to see your car. Once again, customer service is excellent at Dan's, and the work they do is second to none! read more

Recently my car was damaged after driving over a pothole so my insurance goes ahead and sets up an appointment with an auto body shop in town that's on their list. My insurance rep calls up Dan's, she sets an appointment, and we're good. A few hours later, Brenda from Dan's for some reason calls me directly (not my rep) and with a massive attitude proceeds to tell me my insurance didn't set a correct appointment or something and then tells me they're not taking appointments til September. Why she's calling me and not my rep I have no idea, and to treat me like I've done something to inconvenience her when I wasn't the one who called in the first place is insane. As I've never dealt with any auto body shop in town ever, my rep was the one who called you guys, not me so don't call me up in the middle of the work day giving me attitude like I did something wrong, especially when dealing with a car accident is already a massive issue to begin with. read more

Our 2019 Subaru Outback was rear-ended. We brought the car to Dan's paint and auto body. The service was great and the whole process was very easy. It of course helped that the accident repairs were fully covered by insurance. The speed in which we were able to get an appointment and the follow up were great. They helped us with the rental car and drove us to the rental agency. We worked with Mark who was patient and explained all aspects to of the repair. The repair was completed in nine calendar days. When we got the car back it had been washed and vacuumed. It looked brand new inside and out. As an aside, the building itself looked more like a gathering space than a car repair center. The waiting area was pleasant and water and soft drinks were available. Al in all, the work quality, experience, and care put into the job were all top notch. read more

Simply stated: This is the ONLY place in Tucson that I'd go to for any type of body work. The bumper on my Prius had been jarred loose by someone backing up into it. It was mostly cosmetic damage, so I didn't want to buy a whole new bumper. The woman at the front desk (I'm sorry I forgot her name) was so sweet and nice. Linda came out, looked at our car, and then said, "Let me see what my mechanics can do." We had received estimates of almost $1,000 on it. She came back, had it fixed, told us exactly what to do if it happens again, and said there was no reason to change the bumper at this time. I'd been afraid of it coming loose on the freeway, but she said that basically will not happen. On top of that, she said it would probably only cost $500 or $600 bucks to replace it, if we want to do that at some point, but they'd do everything they can to make it inexpensive and easy for us. How many body shops fix the problem, tell you how to fix it for yourself, and then make sure to underbid everyone all while being incredibly friendly and fun? BTW, they have the cleanest, and coolest, lobby of any body shop anywhere. It has lots of art and very comfortable couches to sit in. I would give them 6 out of 5 stars if possible! We had our hail damaged vehicle repaired at Dan's Paint and Body. It took several trips back and forth to fix molding not secured, unconnected wiring in the audio system, and blemishes in the paint on both the roof and the door. We received a lifetime warranty on the clear coat. These repairs were done in 2015. Fast forward to 2022. The clear coat is gone on all of the repaired areas. We inquired with a different vendor for a cost to redo the car. We were reminded that our clear coat was guaranteed for as long as we owned the vehicle, and we should discuss this with Dan's. We brought our car into Dan's, and pictures were taken. We have called numerous times, and have been told to wait fora manager to review. I have called our insurance company, and asked for assistance. Since Dan's is not a recommended dealer, there is nothing they can do for us. So, if your insurance company says use a company, do so, you will have some recourse on any of your repairs. read more

Pete is a magician! I nicked the left rear quarter panel of my Honda CRV backing into the carport. I couldn't believe how much damage a little bump caused! I went to Dan's expecting it would cost hundreds to repair. Pete popped the parts back into place and then went in for a rag and some cleaner. My truck looks like new again! In January of 2019 my accident free truck was sideswiped by another vehicle. A friend of mine recommended Dan's Paint and Body. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs body work done. The damage to the truck was from the rear passenger tire all the way to the front passenger tire. They took their time to ensure quality work was completed and it shows. The communication from the shop was great. They thought the "right" way to fix it would be to remove bumper, rear view camaras etc. Ms., Camacho agreed that may be "right" but offered an alternative. The only reason I am giving this company a one star review is because zero stars is not an option. Someone got into a car accident with me and had poor insurance so the whole process has been a nightmare, but Dan's Paint and Body has been passive aggressive and a major problem of its own accord. Due to insurance being a problem we decided that we wanted to take it to a different shop of our choosing rather than going with progressive's choice. Dan's took 5 days just to do an estimate and take the car apart, let alone the week or two it was going to take to get in my parts and finish the job of putting it back together and painting. I drive a Ford Fusion and parts should not take that long to begin with let alone being without my car for two to three weeks at a time. When we were displeased about this information, we asked to pick the car up and they passive aggressively told us they would charge us to put my car back together so that I could take it. When we said we would put it back together they threw all my pieces into the back of my car and made it my problem. Not to mention the cars they aren't working on sit on the a side street in Tucson rather than in a secured parking lot. Do NOT take your car to Dan's Paint and Body if you are looking for a timely fix or a pleasant experience. If you do, good luck! read more

We unfortunately had a fender bender & had to file a claim with our insurance but FORTUNATELY Dan's was an approved body shop for the repairs. Thanks to Yelp I was confident about their work even though I didn't know anything about body shops. They already had our info and claim details from insurance so it was an easy drop off, walk around the car checking the damage & explaining the process. Initially given a date to pick up the car and Brenda said they strive to deliver before that date. We handed it off on Tuesday, got a call on Thursday that it would be ready Friday but would have to bring it back that next Wednesday for the Stripes to be put back on. Wild right? Lol We told them to just keep until it was finished because it's pointless (in my opinion) to get it just to have to bring it back but I guess If you're in need of your car there's that option. For us, we didn't need it back & just wanted to have it completely ready to be picked up. On day of pickup the car looked brand new. We have a custom paint color so their repairs and paint job were spot on. & it looked Like nothing even happened. Paid our deductible and we were on our way.
