I have so much respect for these people. I have been sent away on multiple occasions as I am too…read morehigh risk normally for anything other than being seen by someone in a hospital setting. I had gone in for a procedure that probably would be easy for most people. Unfortunately with heart problems, they will not allow me anything with epinephrine in it. Any dentist that I have ever been seen by never has had anything else other than meds I cannot have. The dentist eased all my anxiety, carefully listening to my history and letting me know, she knew what I needed and how to do it safely. OMG what a relief, I have gone 10 years always being told you need to be in a hospital setting. Its too risky for me to see you as a patient. I burst into tears honestly. I thought that would be my "forever situation." Fortunately, they helped me through the proceedure. Offering me something I could take pre-procedure to numb the area without inhibiting my breathing or raising my heart rate. I soooo very much appreciate them. Words cannot even express my gratitude for the dentist. They truly care about helping their patients.

My husband retired from the military after 30 years of service and we moved back to Omaha to be…read morecloser to our family. We chose Total Dental because our insurance took it and it was close to our house without looking at the reviews. I went there for my first 2 regular cleanings. I go regularly every 6 months. They told my husband he should go every 3 months (he went even though he had to pay out of pocket for one of the cleanings every year). I had extreme pain in my front tooth because of a possible injury when I was younger. I saw Dr. Thorson, who is absolutely wonderful!! She saw me right away and referred me to an Endodontics practice. The practice that accepted my insurance couldn't get me in for over a month. Dr. Thorson stated to me in front of the dental hygienist that "if I ran out of antibiotics before I got into to see the Midwest Endodontics that all I needed to do is call her up and she would prescribe some more to get me through until I could see them for the root canal." Unfortunately, she went on maternity leave (which I totally understand) BUT the office manager (Danica Wicht) had no back up plan for her. When, I called some dental hygienist that I had absolutely no prior dental relationship with called me and stated to me "that they don't do that". She also kept saying "she wasn't in the room with me" I told her I knew that she wasn't in the room with me. I kindly asked her if she had my chart to look at and she said no. I was very shocked that a medical professional that hadn't been in the room with me (her own words) wouldn't have the chart to rely on. She never asked me my pain level either. Not one time during our phone conversation. Very disturbing as when you look at Total Dental's website they describe themselves as dental anxiety experts with over 40 years of experience. I asked to speak to an office manager and Dr. Courtney Molettiere got on. This woman needs to never me in medicine or dental care. Her bio reads "One of my favorite things about my profession is the chance to build relationships with patients" She is not an experienced Dentists. Read her bio and prior reviews about her. Highly do NOT recommend her. Very immature and never even read my chart before talking to me. You can see from other reviews, that other patients have said that EXACT same thing that I'm saying about Dr. Molettietiere. She was rude, unprofessional, never looked at my chart. Also found out later from the Practice Manager, that she shared information with 3 other people in her office (that was not necessary) and a complete violation of HIPPA. My medical information should only be shared on a need-to-know basis. They should realize that. In addition, I paid out of pocket for X-rays and was not even notified of the costs upfront. This practice has very inexperienced Dentists. I've gone to Dentists across the country my entire life AND never experienced the unprofessionalism of this office including the practice manager who called me from her cell phone in car and didn't even have my chart or information to know what she was referring to. The only thing she could say is she knew everyone in the "Office for 10 years" This should be handled using actual facts like a business NOT a like a friendship. In short, you have TONS of options in Elkhorn. I found another Dental practice within a few hours for my husband and me that honored both our military service and was kind and friendly, verified my insured, gave me upfront costs. Read their website of what they promise and then read the many reviews of patients that have actually visited this horrible dental clinic specifically the Elkhorn, Nebraska clinic. Highly DO NOT recommend this horrible practice!

Wanted to give this place a chance before I gave a review. Went for a first checkup. Hygienist said…read moreI have no cavalries and then the doctor came in saying I have 2 like no big deal. I asked if I can see the X-ray but they said you wouldn't be able to see it as it is in between. Came back to get them filled and the dentist and the assistant were talking about how they are going on a Disney cruise with their family and how they should be closed on Saturday as I'm sitting there Saturday and the doctor needs time off because they are working so much? What? Why should I be hearing this as a patient. I understand they shouldn't just work their in silence on my teeth but maybe understand your patients can hear you and choose a different topic of conversation versus complaining about your work schedule on the day I'm sitting there. Then confusion on billing. All I need to know is the price you are charging me and then I can call my insurance myself to confirm what is covered! 2 fillings is a normal procedure so either they upsold me or lied about their cost. Fast forward 6 months for my cleaning. Reached out for a reminder and only has 1 appointment time available in the next 3 weeks. I said okay, I will call back. Was able to text and confirmed an appointment but unfortunately after I confirmed a major change in my schedule for work changed and here I am 4 days later trying to get a hold of the office to change and/or cancel out of respect for their schedule and can't get a hold of anyone. Was on hold for a total of 50 minutes!!!!! Sent the texts back for 4 days asking to cancel and/or change and then submitted another request online to cancel/change but nothing. This is a simple cleaning! I understand if I needed more extensive work but there a million other dentists in the state of Nebraska that can do that and clearly this place does not. Hire more staff or stay open longer to accommodate your patients!! I'm giving up and taking my insurance money elsewhere!

I will NOT comeback this place after been 2 year with them. DO NO RECOMMENDATIONS to everyone too…read more I just have DEEP clean in October or November everything was good. The Hygienist lady who pretty nice told me come back in 3 months for Regular Check up and cleaning. Then i made appointment in January. So before app i called ask if will be charge for regular cleaning cause i also call insurance they said should be cover 2 time for year. Then i went to my appointment 2:30 i got done at 2:56. Which like 20 min No XRAY... then I thought why is so quick maybe Regular cleaning. Then I GoT a bill. I call ask why and acc lady got angry with me. Because they have to do different type of cleaning causes i have a lot built up.IF i got a lot built up with only take less then 20 mins to clean my teeth? So app at 2:30 done 2:56 is the time i get out and call my driver to pick me up.and is take almost 10 mins for her to made another appointment for next time . I still have records in my phone showing the time i call my drivers. So 20 mins no Xray or anything and said i have a lot built up so charge me different type of cleaning? And what is customer service with the billing lady when i wondering about my bill?
