Today, after 4 months of my last visit, I was informed through an email that I have an outstanding balance of 158 dollars from Legacy Dental. I checked the billing and noticed a dental scan was not being covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield. At the time, the hygienist assured me all procedures would be covered my insurance. I called the billing department and was told my insurance rejected the panel scan as being unnecessary. They, of course would not waive the charge. I told them this business practice was unbecoming, unethical, and very misleading. I should have paid attention to the earlier Yelp review of a similar incident over a billing incident at this practice. I will NOT be returning back to this practice. read more

The care quality was good. The dentist and her assistant, Erin, were very professional and accommodating. The office experience was horrible! I went in for a dental emergency. When I checked out I was told that my insurance would not cover any of the services I received or a new partial plate that had to be made and I had to pay $4000 up front!! The financial representative was quite rude and pushy. I told her that I would pay for services received that day and the rest when I received them but she said they needed the $ up front to pay the lab. I find it hard to believe that the practice had no operating expenses! I paid the $4000. Two months later, after contacting my insurance carrier, I found that the claim was filed incorrectly and some of the services I received were covered and I had been overcharged. I made several attempts to contact the financial representative at the office and she would not return my calls. When I finally reached her she told me that refund was being held for some insurance policy that I signed for on the new partial. That was the first time I was told that such agreement existed! After three months and my insurance payment made to the practice, I finally got the refund. When I picked up the check I requested paperwork on the work completed as well as my treatment plan. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this dental office due to the rudeness and inefficiency of this person on their their staff! read more

I would rate a zero but in order to submit a request one of the stars had to be selected. Legacy Dental Omaha made an error taking extra X-rays within my annual check up year and did not notify me until I had received an overdue bill. I had just been in the office the week before making a payment in full on two fillings. Was not notified at that time of an overdue amount. I called once I received the email of an overdue amount. After several calls the front desk suggested I submit an appeal to 'get the charge paid' which is fraud since they had already called my ins carrier and was notified the type of X-rays were only allowed once a year. I spoke with office manager Megan and she was not phased the office didn't notify me of the extra charge and instead of focusing on keeping a customer and admitting the extra xrays should not have been done within the 6 month period she said I was yelling at her and had to take the phone from her face and didn't hear what I was explaining. Very Very poor service, she needs to put on her professional hat, break down the issue and address why the office is performing services not necessary, not notifying the customer of extra charges (typical I receive a print out for every charge), and suggesting to commit fraud against the insurance company with the appeal. read more

Do not go here. Their front desk operation is terrible! They reached out to me 5 times about my Sons insurance that i gave them weeks before and then when my Son got there they said they couldn't find the insurance and he would need to pay $490 out of pocket or he had to reschedule. Terrible customer service. I also had to pay a $50 fee because i missed an appointment due to being stuck in Houston due to the hurricanes and they didn't even tell me about it, they just added it to my account. The Drs were great but me and my family will not be going back. read more

IF you want a "treatment plan" of 5 figures, want to be treated as a deadbeat, want to wait in the waiting room for your appointment that you had been reminded of four times, want to have three appointments and only see the dentist once for less than 2 minutes, want to have the hygienist damage your enamel to be cold sensitive in three areas, and want to complete a survey asking for follow-up due to dissatisfaction and receive a phone call promising to call the next day and three days later still no reply - by all means make an appointment. read more

Thank you, thank you, thank you....... I've been using Legacy Dental for the past several years, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Semerad and staff are THE VERY BEST!!!! I had an emergency root canal flair up on a Saturday afternoon, contacted the office after hours, and was treated like a VIP, doors were opened, Dr Semerad and assistant Erin were working on me immediately and within 2 hours I was at home recovering. My wife had a crown put on almost 2 weeks ago. Almost immediately she started experiencing a tremendous amount of pain. My wife is a health care provider so the swelling and shooting pain threw up a flag as a sign of infection after a few more days. She called in with concerns and was told by the office manager it didn't sound like an issue with the tooth and to give it time. She visited Methodist hospital as a result and was given antibiotics for the infection. After repeated calls back to the office she was finally granted another appointment. At the appointment she was told that they were wrong originally and she needed to get a root canal. They wouldn't do it that day and would need her to reschedule another appointment. Again pushing her care to the side. She calls back today and was told she would have to pay for the root canal in full today, before they would even schedule her an appointment to continue care in the future. The money is not an issue and the crown was paid for in full at time of service. This is a standard these days for dentists to ask for payment at time of service, but not before and definitely not after sub par service was provided and the patient is in duress.... Its the principal involved at this point. Legacy dental is not concerned with patients care nor their well being, and only focused on the money. I would highly recommend staying far far away from this office at all costs as they definitely aren't there for patient care... read more

Update: After disputing this collection account I received notification from the billing associate and the owner that there was an inaccuracy on the account they had sent to collections and that instead of pulling it out of collections and handling it with us as they should have in the first place, they are just going to update the balance with the collections company. Even when they are proven wrong and have the opportunity to make it right, they still don't. I used to love this place and said so in my first review. However, I have to report that the billing department is a disaster. My husband had a simple cleaning done last year and this visit was supposed to be covered at 100%. Fast forward to this July, I received a statement for over $500 when neither of us have been there in a year. I called Legacy to figure out what was going on on July 28th of 2022 and spoke to Kathy for 11 minutes about why we had these charges and she could not answer my questions because she "couldn't find the information" so she said she would call me back. I heard nothing and received no statements for the following four months, so my mistake, I assumed they had misapplied a payment and moved on. Fast forward to today, I received a notification that my credit score had dropped 40+ points because Legacy Dental reported me to collections. I am so upset for so many reasons. Number one, this is not even my account, it is my husband's, but they reported it to my credit. Number two, I never received that follow-up phone call. Number three, when I spoke to Kathy today, not only did she not even bother to apologize for her error, she had the nerve to tell me the phone works both ways and I should have called her back! I can't believe the poor service and lack of professionalism I experienced today. If you value your credit score, I would be very careful using this company because they do not care. All they care about is money. Also, I have good credit and would have absolutely paid the bill. I just wanted to know what it was for. Because of the lack of communication, we cannot even go back to the insurance company and find out why the insurance was denied because my husband's employer switched companies and it was too long ago. read more

I just got home after my 2nd and final root scaling and planing. I'm still numb. And, I'm still so grateful to Legacy Dental. And so blessed to have found them! I'm a 63 year old guy, a big baby from the neck up. Because of years of lack of dental care, bad things grew worse. A few root canals and some pulled teeth later, I became terrified of the pain. Most dental offices are cold, white and like a psych ward. And most dentists and hygienists are clinical and indifferent. And some are just in it for the money. I needed a root planing 24 years ago. I was told again in 2008. I'm good at telling myself lies, and putting things off. Finally, after breaking another tooth and getting some dental insurance with my Medicare, I could begin to get help. I believe in fate. And, I believe in God. I was somehow directed to Legacy Dental. And my life, seriously, will never be the same. Amber, the hygienist, has done the bulk of my work so far. There are no words or fancy phrases to tell you how kind, caring, patient, understanding and gifted she is- beyond amazing. I barely felt the shots, and hardly felt any pain at all, during the 90 minutes, twice in one week, as she worked on my infected gums. (Twenty years of build-up is a major task.) Amber made this procedure one I will remember and talk about to anyone who will listen. As much fear and terror as I have had for years and years, in one week Amber literally changed my life! I know, I ramble, and I'm sorry. I'm not a relative or close friend of anyone on staff. Never met them before. You know how sometimes, things just work out great and you don't know why? This is one for my record books. Michaela was a huge help afterword, assigning insurance coverage and helping me coordinate what I can afford and when I can have the work done. I started seeing Dr Semrad after moving to Omaha when they first moved to their new (current) location. If you aren't going here for your dental work, I feel bad for you because you don't even know what you're missing out on. Let me tell ya, this place is like a spa. The wet towels used to wipe your face are warmed and infused with essential oils, the chairs adjust to the perfect comfortable position and TVs ARE MOUNTED TO THE CEILING so you can watch Netflix while they work on your chompers! They offer state of the art technology at a reasonable price in my opinion. I had never considered doing some "cosmetic" procedures but after they were suggested, I'm really glad I did. My funny-looking teeth got fixed and my teeth REALLY glow. After one treatment, I have the next shade closest to perfect whites! Come here unless you enjoy living under a rock. read more

Dr. Brigden at Legacy Dental is the best dentist I have encountered. His staff is unreservedly warm and friendly, and Dr. Brigden uses all the new digital gadgetry available. I have been to see him twice now, and I have been very impressed by his straight-forward approach, and thoroughness. He also took the time to actually talk to me...extensively!... (unlike many doctors/dentists who just breeze through, poke at you for a few minutes, then vanish), and made it as pleasant an experience as a dentist visit can be. I highly recommend him. read more
