I checked the billing and noticed a dental scan was not being covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield. At the time, the hygienist assured me all procedures would be covered my insurance. I called the billing department and was told my insurance rejected the panel scan as being unnecessary. They, of course would not waive the charge. I told them this business practice was unbecoming, unethical, and very misleading. I should have paid attention to the earlier Yelp review of a similar incident over a billing incident at this practice. I will NOT be returning back to this practice.

When I checked out I was told that my insurance would not cover any of the services I received or a new partial plate that had to be made and I had to pay $4000 up front!! The financial representative was quite rude and pushy. I told her that I would pay for services received that day and the rest when I received them but she said they needed the $ up front to pay the lab. I find it hard to believe that the practice had no operating expenses! I paid the $4000. Two months later, after contacting my insurance carrier, I found that the claim was filed incorrectly and some of the services I received were covered and I had been overcharged. I made several attempts to contact the financial representative at the office and she would not return my calls. When I finally reached her she told me that refund was being held for some insurance policy that I signed for on the new partial. That was the first time I was told that such agreement existed! After three months and my insurance payment made to the practice, I finally got the refund. When I picked up the check I requested paperwork on the work completed as well as my treatment plan. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this dental office due to the rudeness and inefficiency of this person on their their staff!

I asked if I can see the X-ray but they said you wouldn't be able to see it as it is in between. Came back to get them filled and the dentist and the assistant were talking about how they are going on a Disney cruise with their family and how they should be closed on Saturday as I'm sitting there Saturday and the doctor needs time off because they are working so much? What? Why should I be hearing this as a patient. I understand they shouldn't just work their in silence on my teeth but maybe understand your patients can hear you and choose a different topic of conversation versus complaining about your work schedule on the day I'm sitting there. Then confusion on billing. All I need to know is the price you are charging me and then I can call my insurance myself to confirm what is covered! 2 fillings is a normal procedure so either they upsold me or lied about their cost. Fast forward 6 months for my cleaning. Reached out for a reminder and only has 1 appointment time available in the next 3 weeks. I said okay, I will call back. Was able to text and confirmed an appointment but unfortunately after I confirmed a major change in my schedule for work changed and here I am 4 days later trying to get a hold of the office to change and/or cancel out of respect for their schedule and can't get a hold of anyone. Was on hold for a total of 50 minutes!!!!! Sent the texts back for 4 days asking to cancel and/or change and then submitted another request online to cancel/change but nothing. This is a simple cleaning! I understand if I needed more extensive work but there a million other dentists in the state of Nebraska that can do that and clearly this place does not. Hire more staff or stay open longer to accommodate your patients!! I'm giving up and taking my insurance money elsewhere!

Which like 20 min No XRAY... then I thought why is so quick maybe Regular cleaning. Then I GoT a bill. I call ask why and acc lady got angry with me. Because they have to do different type of cleaning causes i have a lot built up.IF i got a lot built up with only take less then 20 mins to clean my teeth? So app at 2:30 done 2:56 is the time i get out and call my driver to pick me up.and is take almost 10 mins for her to made another appointment for next time . I still have records in my phone showing the time i call my drivers. So 20 mins no Xray or anything and said i have a lot built up so charge me different type of cleaning? They twice told me I needed a crown instead of fillings. I got one of the crowns done, and then switched insurance to a very expensive one so on Jan 1st I'd be able to get the other one done. (They were not happy I wanted to wait a month and a half to get a crown). I saw a new dentist in January and he said I just needed a deep filling, and looked over my X-rays and said I never needed the first crown. They upsold me on a laser gum treatment and told me insurance would cover it.... It covered $40? I paid the remaining $150 out of pocket. I also got a bill from them 7 months post service saying insurance didn't cover something. When I looked at my insurance, it was denied for failure to submit the claim in a timely fashion. It took 3 phone calls before I finally said: "it looks like it was denied because it wasn't submitted by your staff on time, is that what you're seeing on your end" and magically the bill disappeared. Great personalities, terrible people, terrible treatment.

My platelet count was fine prior to my visit with Dr Hascall. My hematologist now wants to do a bone marrow biopsy to check for cancer. Stay far alway from this place for any removal of old fillings. Also, Dr Hascall seemed to be more concerned if I was fully vaxxed, which was none of his business.

We wanted to find a new dental clinic for our daughters after a move some distance away from our…read moreprevious one, and honestly, Good Life Smiles was a secondary choice for me after the initial clinic wasn't covered under our dental insurance policy. I'm now glad how things ended up working out. On our first visit to the clinic, Dr. Pete sat with us before he examined our daughters to not only talk over their dental history, but also have a conversation about better prevention of future issues. I've never had a dentist--either for our children, or myself personally--put that kind of time and effort into a new patient. From there. Dr. Pete and his staff had a fantastic rapport with our children, and it was easy to tell they were more relaxed at this clinic than the previous one they'd been to. The bamboo toothbrushes our daughters got are great, as was the assurance that, should any dental emergencies ever crop up, we were encouraged to get in touch with Dr. Pete at any time of day. My only hesitation is that this is one of those kinds of clinics where you hope it'll stay as a smaller practice and not lose the personal attention that children currently receive.
