Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!! How this place got 4 stars is beyond me!!! 2 weeks ago me my sister and my daughter were in the area. I went on google to look for places with high ratings, and picked Volente Nails based on their reviews. When we came the salon was quasi empty, there were 3 ladies that were nice and welcoming. The place is really simple, no frills with a strong smell of chemicals. First problem was the pedicure was dirty, the water was greasy and had skin particles floating ewww. I told the lady to clean it, which she kind of did. The pedicure in itself was ok. Now my solar full set is another story, the technician didn't know what she was doing: 1st of all something was really burning my nails, then she put a ton of gel, i kept telling her that I like my nails natural, she kept telling me to trust her, and that she would file them. Hmmm the result was horrible. My sister was luckier, she was happy with her nails though. read more

So my sister in law read these great reviews and got me a gift certificate for a pedicure for my birthday. I have never had one, and never cared for one anyway, BC I don't like to spend that kind of money. But anyway, so I am getting married in 2 days and decided I'd go use my gift certificate and as well get my nails done. I went in today, told them exactly what i wanted. I wanted a solid pink polish with a blue bow over it. So she starts my pedicure, tells me I need the deluxe package. I go for it BC I wan't my feet super soft as promised. Nope, they do not feel soft right now. It cost $36 for that alone. Then as she's painting my toes I tell her my big toe nail is not long enough and i want a fake nail put on both. She gets upset over it and says for $10/ea. Um OK that's fine. Then she can't draw the bow I want, so I tell her never mind just do white tips. Next, she does my nails. She's trying to charge me $30 for a manicure. That is obscene. I said no, I want acrylic nails added on with the same color as my toes. She does that. Did i mention I told my sister who was with me she wanted a manicure, fine I'll cover it. Sheesh is it really only painting your nails?!! I was too upset paying that much just to be painted. But I do anyway. I feel like if I'm paying $126 for all that, why did I walk out unhappy? Also, the entire time, her phone rang and she kept saying her son was home alone. I'm sorry, but I am paying for your services. read more

Volente Nails - Here is what she did with my toes, yea they're not bad but they're not what i really wanted - Nail Salons Near Me - Austin, Texas

I have been coming to Valente Nails for more than 20 years. I never make an appointment because all the technicians are wonderful, and I never have to wait for more than a few minutes. I always get pedicures and they last for 2 weeks, but my favorite part of this place is the calf leg massages the give. I come here to relax, and they take the stress out of my day. Thank you, Volente Nails, for helping make things bearable during COVID! read more

I'm surprised to see a lot of good reviews on here. I have visited Volente Nails twice and I'm still not pleased what so ever. The first time I went, my nails were very uneven and the second time I came in for only French tip. Once I got home I realized they did not put the clear coating evenly over my nails and those areas started turning brown, also many bubbles and hairs under them. Tired of wasting my money here!!! read more

This has been my go to nail spot since moving to North Austin. They have always been so great about cleanliness from bowl liners to sanitized tool packets. After the COVID19 shutdown I couldn't wait to get a great pedicure. Now the shop is even cleaner with sanitizer supplies at the entry table, touch free color selection, masks, barrier shields at each station, and they are proudly displaying Barbicide COVID19 certifications for all their nail techs. In these crazy times I'm thankful to have this luxury back in my life free of worry. read more

Went in on MLK DAY and got taken care of right away. Although their prices where not clear enough, I did enjoy my first experience here. My nails are beautiful and they have a great selection of nail colors for gel and regular polish. Super quick and helpful service and pedicure chairs are sanitary. Will go back again. read more

I usually will try out a new place by getting a pedicure first but I decided to take a chance on getting a refill on my sns set. First mistake was leaving the solution on too long that she had to replace all my tips except three. Red flag! Second was the constant over burning of my real nails. Not sure if this was her first time using the nail drills. Red flag! Third was the constant redipping into the powder because she just couldn't get the powder on the entire nail. Red flag! Fourth was having another tech to come fix her horrible nail job. At this point I just asked to remove the nails so I could get out of there. Annie wanted to try and save them so I gave her that chance. They were very sweet and apologetic but unfortunately this was a nail job that couldn't be saved. My nails are uneven, bumpy and too thick. Really unnatural looking. The other problem is being charged full price even after acknowledging they messed up. Annie said to call her and she'll fix it so I will give them a second chance to get this right but it was pretty disappointing. I would definitely appreciate it more if I was told that there wasn't anyone there that was capable of doing sns rather than being someone's experiment. Maybe more training for the techs will help. Admitting there's a problem is the first step. read more

One of the least relaxing mani/pedis ever! The end result looked and lasted well (hence the two stars), but... One person did both mani and pedi, racing through a standard pedicure, using the callous remover rasp so hard that I had sore heels for several days after, feet barely massaged, hot stones from hot stone massage drilled into my shins until I could feel the bruises forming, keeping up a running chatter the entire time trying to get me to add more expensive services. Then same tech did the gel manicure, complaining all the while about how difficult the dark color I had chosen was to do correctly, and how she had to use extra coats. Now, it may just be me, but I am used to relaxing in same chair, while one tech works on my gel manicure, and another works on my pedicure simultaneously. It speeds everything up without leaving the feeling I'm being rushed through and can't relax. There were other techs available, so this may just be the way they choose to dole out the work, but the hopping up to nail table, to the sink, to the pedi chair was definitely not a relaxing experience. Were the ladies rude? No, they were friendly. Was the salon clean? Yes. But, would I spend upwards of $60 again for an experience like that? No thank you. read more

My favorite nail salon in the area! Their manicures last a good week. I've also heard raves from fellow visitors that they love that this salon uses the cleaner pedicure methods (something with the pipes they use??). Volente does get busy on the weekends so there can be a wait and if I'm in a huge hurry, will occasionally bail out and go across the street to Oasis Day Spa in the HEB Plus strip. But Volente is the place to go! read more

Worst nail salon I've ever been to. Was never offered anything to drink, water would have sufficed in this hot weather but I was never offered one for my daughter and I. Terrible selection of nail polish, the rack had may be 20 or 30 colors to choose from. My daughter who is only nine got a French manicure on both her toes and fingers, they attempted to charge me 30.00 without actually manicuring. All they did was paint, she was done in 15 minutes. I had a pedicure and planned on having a mani, but with the terrible job done i quickly told her I would only be having the pedi. I walked out paying 60 dollars for the worst nail job ever!!! Will never return. read more

I moved to Austin from the midwest and was in desperate search for a nail salon. I'm a very loyal customer (was with my previous tech for 12 years) so I was looking for a salon I could stick with. Based on Yelp's reviews I decided to check this place out and have been going ever since. The salon is clean and bright and the technicians are all very nice. I'm VERY picky about my nails and I tried a few of the techs but I feel the most experienced is Chrissy. Every single time my daughter and I come in they all greet us. I think it's pretty cool they remember us too... read more

Best pedicure I have ever had! And extremely reasonable price. Great atmosphere! Even though I got the cheapest pedi she still did an amazing job. Rubbed my feet for forever it felt like. I will for sure be coming back read more

I am very impressed with the skill and care that goes into the spa pedicure at Volente Nails. I had a manicure/pedicure with Rose today and was very pleased with all aspects of the services provided. New, sterile, individually wrapped instruments were used. The spa chair and foot bath were comfortable and refreshing. Rose has a gentle touch when exfoliating and smoothing rough skin. The towel wrap was pleasantly warm and not uncomfortable. What really amazed me was her skill in massage. I have had serious injuries to both ankles (bad fracture and bad sprain) which are problematic. Rose massaged calves and feet better than any of the many physical therapists I have seen. She used warm stones as part of the message which was very effective. I felt really rejuvenated by the massage. Rose is friendly and made me feel very comfortable in the salon. The atmosphere was happy and cheerful. Rose stayed well after closing to make sure I had a complete spa pedicure and manicure. I was pleasantly surprised at the price. A manicure/pedicure and tip was less than I have paid for just a pedicure at other salons. I would very strongly recommend Rose at Volente Nails. read more

Say what you want about the price.....it's expensive. They do great mani/pedis. Also the gel nails are spot on. My only complaint is that I don't hear tonal languages well and have a really hard time communicating with the technicians. It embarrasses me. Also, I think they secretly make fun of us in Korean when they are doing the pedicures....lol. Just sayin.... read more

I've been going to this salon for 5 years. The ladies here are awesome and sweet. I always get quick service, excellent pedicure with a long foot and leg massage. This year they got small pedi chairs for kids and now my little girl wants to go with me every time. They give her first rate attention and we both walk out with cute nails :-) read more

I have been with Annie at Volente Nails for 10 years and she is amazing. I have always received the best service from her. I would highly recommend Volente Nails. read more

Brow wax and plain old American manicure for $25 in less than 30 minutes. Score! I messed up one of my nails about 10 minutes later, but that's my fault, not theirs. They did a wonderful job and I'll be coming back on my lunch break. read more

This place is the best ! Great service, ladies are super nice and cute designs!

Went here my first time after a bad experience elsewhere. This place is very clean, bright and open and everyone is really friendly! And I agree with other reviews that Christie is great! :) read more

I've been going to this salon since it opened. I go twice a month for fills, pedi and waxing. Kristi is my nail tech and she also gives a great pedicure. I've never had a bad pedicure there. They are all very personable and friendly! read more

I've been coming here for a couple years now and I always ask for Jennifer. She's fast, very sweet and does a great job on my nails!

Very pleased with Christy's attention to detail! She has done my nails (accrylic and gel) at least 7 times. She takes her time with each nail and does it in a timely manner. I go on my 1 hour lunch break and am out in 45 minutes. She is also wonderful at waxing eyebrows. She waxes, trims and makes sure every hair is gone! LOVE Her! read more

I absolutely LOVE this salon. Two weeks later and my nails are still looking fabulous.

A bit of a wait when I went on a Sunday afternoon, but fast and good pedi once I was in the chair.

I love this place! Amy is the sweetest technician and gives the best massages during a mani and pedi! I came in with a Pinterest picture for my nails and she quickly took a glance and the final result was perfect! I keep looking at my nails smiling because she did a phenomenal job! I will continue coming here and requesting Amy! read more

I go every other week. Love this place and have been going for years. I have always had rough feet (I prefer being barefoot) and they've managed to make my feet soft and pretty. I see lots of posts out here about the gel nails not lasting but I've had them done at other places as well and they hold up the same. I just prefer a regular manicure at this point. I LOVE the facials. I always leave here feeling relaxed and pampered no matter what service I get. Christy takes very good care of me. read more

I have been going to Volente Nails for 10 years in May. All of those gals are the best. I would never go anywhere else. Best Ever!!! read more

This place is horrible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I came here because I couldn't get an appointment at my normal salon. I sat down to get a new set of solar nails. There was a dirty towel at the station. I could tell because it had dried solar powder on it. I assumed the nail technician would get a new towel before starting my manicure...no such luck. When she finally started to wipe my hands off on the dirty towel, I couldn't stand it anymore. I asked her to please get another towel because this was grossing me out. She took the towel to the back and came back with THE SAME TOWEL, JUST DAMP! Seriously?! It was so gross. I spent the rest of the appointment wanting to throw up. No, I'm not a germaphobe, a clean towel is just BASIC hygiene. read more

I made an appointment for me and my bridal party to get our nails done together. There were 7 of us getting mani's and pedi's, and I've had some bad experiences before with making reservations at Nail Salons (ie- not enough staff, taking walk-ins right before appointment time, etc.). Volente Nails was 100% ready and had a staff member for everyone in my wedding party AND everyone's nails and toes looked amazing. I was one happy bride and the service was excellent. Thank you, Volente Nails! read more

Ann did an amazing job, my favorite nails ever. She removed my horrible nails from a previous salon and did a new set for me. No appointment and was super clean. read more

Volente Nails - Love the work - Nail Salons Near Me - Austin, Texas

I've only been here a few times, and they have done a wonderful job on my nails and my eyebrows, but the last 2 times I've been I was not pleased with either. Took my 7 yr old daughter with me today, she had her nails painted. The girl who did her nails didn't even take the time to trim or file her nails like they had in the past, it looked like a kid had painted them . My daughter was upset and crying after leaving. My eyebrows are uneven, and i stressed to the girl not to take too much off and she did and the gel on my nails is all bumpy...waste of money for sure read more

The best pedicure I've ever had. Kate has strong hands and spends a lot of time on your calves and feet. She was very detail oriented. Jenifer did a great job on my nails, too. Very reasonably priced. read more

I have always liked this place. But today I had THE WORST experience here. I came in with my family, it was pretty empty. The three of us say down and they put on the water, but then two people started working on the other members of my family and I waited for over a half an hour while the other members of my family both had full pedicures done and three other people came in and were helped before they even went over to me. By the time they got to me I was more than a little upset and the water was cold. They completely ignored me while helping three other people that came in after me. Unacceptable service. I will never go here again. read more

wonderful service and great work. no major complaints, however they did not provide examples of designs for me to be able to look at and choose from so I just skipped out on getting any. they provided complimentary drinks including water, soda, and wine which I thought was pretty neat. they're worth checking out if you're nearby. read more

I've had a wonderful experience each time going here. There is another nail salon by my house that is much more expensive and doesn't do as good as a job. A+ for the deluxe pedicure. However, the girl at the HEB plus across the street does a fabulous job with gel nails. read more
