Delivery in Taylorsville? Hahahaha! I was pleasantly surprised when I found out Vocelli's delivers to my house. I can finally get pizza delivered!! But will it taste good? YES! I really enjoy the 4 cheese pizza and my guests like the deluxe. Crust has flavor, it wasn't like cardboard. Just the right amount of sauce. Their online ordering lets you customize the pizza how you would like it. Much better tasting than the local Pizza Hut, Domino's or Papa Johns. read more

Respectable pizza but both times we ordered dessert it was badly burned. A definite buzz kill.

In short: after ordering almost $200 in catering, the driver refused to leave without a tip and harassed the employees in a grossly inappropriate manner. The employees at the office had nothing to do with the payment or the tip as it was handled through a catering app and the driver didn't seem to care that that was the case. I reached out to the owner on multiple occasions and never received a call back. Clearly, he is not too concerned about customer satisfaction. I will NOT be ordering from here ever again. read more

Hubby had a coupon and saw that Vocelli's delivers to our area, so he ordered a pie for lunch (I was still in bed, as I am a night owl). Well, when I sleepily appeared in the kitchen and he announced Pizza in the House!! I was excited, I'll say. THEN, after devouring just one slice, found it not to my liking. Heavy slice, bready, and rather tasteless cheese/sauce. Can't even remember the topping. BUT the worst, very worst part, was when my stomach cramped later and I had the runs about six or seven times throughout the day, into the night (I had eaten a couple more slices later). I tried to place an order with this restaurant today and was completely blown away when I called back to see where my order was only to learn it had not been placed. I then had the owner argue with me telling me I did not place an order when I had my co-worker right next to me listening. He literally would not stop blaming ME after HE repeated my order back to me. It was the craziest thing. I work in a high-end client facing business and I would NEVER argue with a client. This used to be our favorite spot to order and have delivered. When I recently tried to order and gave my address for delivery, they took my address and told me I was "blacklisted." Huh?? I asked why, they suggested that I didn't tip the driver one time. Um, we always tip very generously so I had no idea what they were talking about. They continued by saying "you can come pick it up." After a recommendation from a neighbor I tried Vocelli's on a to go order. It was only OK. Last night I didn't feel like driving in from Woodbine so decided to try them again with a delivery. It came fast even though it was a Friday night, because we ordered early I was thinking. But it still needed re-heating, as expected. I'm not sure if it was that process or if this is how the pizza really is but I can only describe it as similar to the pizza we got at the Capital Center. Yuck. read more

BUT, the fact they sell things OTHER than pizza that I can have delivered is a total plus. The appetizer rolls left me a bit underwhelmed, and the pizza was average. Loving the new Vocelli Pizza location in Mount Airy! It's nice to have another option for delivery with such a wide variety of menu items to choose from. Our family loves the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the Meat Magnifico Pizza, as well as the Steak Stromboli and the Cheesesticks with marinara for dipping. We haven't tried any sandwiches, pastas or salads yet, but will update this review when we do. The staff (delivery drivers and in store) are helpful and courteous, and Sam the owner is great as well! Was hopeful for Vocelli's as an option to other local deliveries, as I had eaten lots of their pizza while on the road in Pennsylvania for work. Not sure if something is different at the chain these days, but after 3 tries I am not considering them to be superior to the others. Their wings are fabulous, the pizza has been uniformly disappointing. The first two times I got it, it had what was, for me, an unpleasant yeast-y taste and too-chewy base. The third time I tried getting it 'well done', and it was unpleasantly chewy - I could barely get a steak knife to cut cleanly through the crust. Considering that the cost is higher than the chain I was using for delivery as well, I'll be sticking with my old mediocre provider. read more

I gave 3 stars because the food was good. The delivery, however, is atrocious. The first time it took an hour and a half to get our food. The driver apologized and said some people no showed and they were short staffed. I get it, no big deal. The second time was on a Friday night. I ordered online at 7, it said it would be an hour. Ok, whatever. It finally got here over an hour later and THEY FORGOT MY SUB!!! The driver said they were slow so they let 2 drivers go home. At 7:00 ON A FRIDAY!! Why would you let drivers go home before 7 on a Friday then be shocked that you're busy? Plus they had someone else's credit card receipt to my order which I was paying cash for. I took the money out for the sub and paid the driver but told him to bring the sub and I would pay him for it then. No one ever came back. It's really a shame because they're the only place that delivers to my house. So disappointing. read more

New place we checked out a couple of times now. We got 2 pizzas and both were really tasty! Sam, the manager, and staff are super friendly too.
