Fried Calamari with marinara, small Greek salad, two bottles of San Pelligrino, a 16-inch NY style pizza with three toppings, and cannoli totaled $60. We took home most of the pizza! To us, this seemed a good deal. For a small-town Italian place, this restaurant was top-notch. The menu has a surprisingly large range of options. Calamari was hot and crisp with a generous portion served with lemon wedges. and a side of Marinara. Greek salad was loaded with cheese, lettuce was crisp and included all the expected ingredients. Dressing on the side so you can control portions. Pizza was as hoped for: thin crust with generous toppings (sausage, mushrooms, onions) fully integrated and melted into the crust. It was served so hot we had to be careful handling it! Cannoli was overstuffed which was shared. We declined the chocolate drizzle option. The red checked tablecloth atmosphere was cozy. Lots of Italian decorations including a wall mural, wine bottles, photos and even a life-size chef mannequin were on display. Background music was contemporary - not Italian - and soft enough to have a normal conversation. Service was prompt and flawless. At lunch, the dining area was about 1/3 full (seating for about 100?) with a busy takeout order business. We had time to kill and never felt rushed. Restroom was accessible, clean and sell supplied. Parking was convenient and ample. I'd be delighted to have Mama Angela's in my neighborhood and think most would. Enjoy

Amazing good food each time I go. Service is amazing. Clean atmosphere. The crab pizza is my favorite. I highly recommend this place it is my favorite go to

Can I tell you a secret love of mine? It's finding that ultimate thick crust pizza of my dreams in every area that I live. It's not out in the open as a massive deep dish pizza but it's hidden as the Sicilian pizza. One and a half slices was all it took to fill me up but I really wanted to finish that second piece. The wife and I finished that pizza over the next day and I couldn't have been happier making the trip to Mt Airy. If you live in the area and want a deep dish pizza but don't want to make the trip up to Uno's, check this place out. While you're at it, get a cannoli or some gelato. P.s. authentic Italian behind the counter

Wow! If you are in the area and looking for some awesome Italian food, stop here! My wife and I stopped about 6pm on a Saturday while driving North after arriving at BWI. She was searching for something with convenient freeway access while I was driving and this place was less than a half-mile off I-70. It also had great reviews and we love italian food. It is located in a small strip mall with adequate parking. They have a counter in the middle as you walk in where it looks like they make the pizzas. There is table seating on either side of the entrance. We were greeted and told to have a seat at any of the smaller tables. We looked to the right since it was closer and only saw 5 small tables and four were occupied, so we took the last one. The four large tables on this side were empty but quickly filled up as we were there. The interior is cozy and simple and feels very authentic. We decided to order the mozzarella sticks appetizer as we looked through the extensive menu. They arrived a short while later and we placed our orders. My wife decided to try the lasagna and I ordered the meat lovers calzone. The mozzarella sticks hit the spot but we debated if they were just from bulk frozen. Our orders arrived in a timely fashion and looked amazing. My wife thought it was the biggest piece of lasagna she has ever had in a restaurant. She also said it tasted delicious. My calzone was also huge and came with a side of sauce for dipping. The calzone had oozing mozzarella when I cut into it and tasted amazing. We both had about half our meals leftover and took them to go. The prices were fair, my calzone was $9. We now have this on our list of go-to places when in the area. After asking, they even gave us two sides of marinara to go with our leftovers at no additional cost. We highly recommend!

It had an authentic feel to it with the red decor, great seating both outside and in, and Nostalgia sprinkled all throughout the inside of the place. Staff seemed pretty friendly as when we were being seated a tall gentleman was entertaining a family with kids dancing. We all got seated and were greeted by our server Brooke who is equally nice and knowledgeable. They use a special kind of crust imported from Italy that does not cause bloating which we appreciate it. You also get that authentic Italian taste from the pizza. Their wings were seasoned very well as my wife and I enjoyed them and complimented how good they were. Everything arrived hot and fresh from the pizza, wings and even the specialty cocktails that we had like the lavender lemonade and the Honey Blackberry Spritz. My wife is also a fan of mozzarella sticks so we got fried mozzarella. Our friend decided to try the lemon ricotta creme brulee which she also enjoyed. I like seeing the wood for the wood fire stove and they had several pieces of decor throughout the place as well as the lighting that just makes it feel homey. The tall gentleman was even nice enough to run out our wings that we had left at the table by accident. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we definitely want to come back and try more offerings! 5/5 - SupaFlyITGuy approved!

So we drove a good 30mins to get here, with anticipation from seeing this restaurant on a travel channel, but the original location is in NY. We get there, and its plenty of free parking. We ask for seating for 3 and we are told they are only seating individuals who booked a reservation. Totally understandable considering its Valentine's day. I dropped the ball folks. I didn't make a reservation. So I noticed a bar lounge which we were told we could wait for a seat to open up. As we were waiting a coupled jumped in front us and took a seat. The manager Claudia came to the rescue like the dark knight but with more grace. She mentioned she was willing to put us on the list for a table in the main dining area. I accepted her kind gesture and continued to wait for bar lounge seating to open up. A couple was kind enough to come over to us and ask if we were waiting for bar lounge seating. They offered their table to us as they were ending their night. There was a 2 man band playing in the lounge area that was very soothing to the ear. As I tried to help my mother get comfortable at the hightop table, I noticed she was having a difficult time getting seated in such a high chair. Guess who came to the rescue, you guessed, Claudia! She's the best, 100 grand, made me a real fan. So she came over and said our table was ready if we wanted a booth seating and we all know that's the best seats in the house. All I could think is look at God. The wait wasn't even long either. 10 out of 10 for saving the day. In addition our waitress was such a sweetheart. I mentioned a white malbec I saw on the menu that I was astonish to see b/c I never knew of such a thing. She bought me a small glass to taste and my God, I am a true believer Jesus turned water into wine. Its so clear like water but the taste is amazing. The food is so delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very personalable. Everyone cartered to us. You would have thought we were the Obamas or something. As we were stuffing our faces, Claudia comes around handing out roses to the men/boys to give to their dates. Complimenting my son and his daper outfit she hands him a rose and tells him to give it your mommy. At the moment he lights up with a big smile as if he paid for the rose himself. I can tell he felt like a gentleman and good that he could give his mother a red rose on Valentine's day. That small gesture was very thoughtful and appreciated. I apologize for my essay, but they desired it. I love the service, the ambiance, the food, and service. I haven't seen my mother smile so much in a while. So it bought me great joy to give my mother this experience on Valentine's day. I thank Nonna Angela's staff for such a wonderful experience.

When we walked in we were immediately greeted and were able to choose our seat. We opted for a custom pizza with mushroom, caramelized onions, and sausage. The crust was thin and super crispy, just how a like it albeit a tad burnt in some spots (but I think that's unavoidable with brick oven places). The caramelized onions gave the pizza an interesting sweetness and the cheese to pizza ratio was spot on. We also got a Hot Pastrami sub, which, if you don't like horseradish then this isn't for you. Horseradish flavor is definitely strong but also they did not skimp on the pastrami. Part of the bread was also burnt but the texture was still that nice combo of crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. We did bus our own tables but the service staff behind the ordering counter was really nice and offered to walk us through the menu. I saw pics of the baked ziti which looked amazing but unfortunately they no longer serve due to not enough orders. The place itself has a really cozy vibe--dim lighting, colorful décor, and everything was clean and well put together. The pizza quality was outstanding: crispy crust with a slight char from the wood-fired oven that really elevated the flavor and it just tasted really fresh compared to a lot of other places I've tried. During our visit, Linda came by while we were eating and was incredibly friendly, polite, and charismatic. She made sure we had everything we needed and created a very warm, welcoming experience. They were able to make the seafood mofongo, but replaced with the pork belly. I really enjoyed that, it came with a delicious garlicky sauce. My husband had the steak tacos, which he enjoyed. The service was great, our waitress was attentive and made good suggestions. But what really stood out was that the owner (Tony) stopped by our table and then Rosa (wife/co-owner) came over separately too. Both were really nice.
