I don't know why more people don't write good stuff about these guys but I will. I've been coming here for just over a year and I must say, they are quick, good and the service, it's good also. I've been coming here with people who know Pho restaurants and they always say this is the best. I agree. I've tried different dishes here and I am hooked on the pho bowl with steak. #V32 I believe. I also like the fried rice and chicken. #G31? Tons of food at a good price. I think healthy because of all the veggies. Oh, and I like the Gui Cumm. Take a chance, you might also. Really close by, and decent pho. Can't complain. I've came here a few times whenever in the mood for pho, but I've also taken a stab at their vermicelli bowls and really enjoyed those here as well. Their veggie pho is also really good, but I'm not sure if it's actually vegetarian friendly broth wise. However, I love the plethora of toppings, and their shrimp spring rolls are my most favorite in the land. The veggie pho though, if you're vegetarian, ask about their broth, but this thing comes with flowery shaped carrots, scallions, bean sprouts, bits of fried tofu, and normal tofu, and so much more. I just love it. I love variety, it has variety, I'm sold. Flavor is solid-- a little spice and doctoring needed, but solid. I've found a few things that are on their menu that they don't serve, sadly I can't recall all of which. However, I know they don't serve the limeade soda/soda chanh even though it's on the menu. I'm not sure if it just wasn't in house that day, or if they completely stopped serving it and haven't updated. I haven't had anything here so far that I didn't enjoy, and always have them as my go to for pho. VN Pho doesn't go out of their way to wow you, but they certainly don't do bad either. Horrible customer service. Ordered food for pick up at a certain time in the future (hours from the time I ordered) and then they said to come pick up shortly after I finished ordering. Even after explaining to the person on the phone that I scheduled for a certain pickup time, they said they will just leave my food on the side. They refuse to listen or acknowledge their mistake. Can't refund, won't make me new food. Now forced to go out of my way to pick it up now instead of having my food sit out for hours. They are trying to kill people and give people food poisoning. Went in for lunch. Casual environment. I ordered the vermicelli with beef tenderloin and it was absolutely fantastic. I loved all of the veggies in it and it was extremely flavorful. Perfectly large portion that you just don't want to stop eating. I went back a few days later and got it again. The atmosphere was inviting and the food was delicious. The service was a little lacking. The server was great when it came to getting our orders quickly and bringing out the food, but then he didn't come back once to see how we were doing. They forgot to bring out the shrimp egg rolls I ordered, but it wasn't a big deal as my entree was more than satisfying. When I told them at the register they did apologize. We were passing through on a road trip so got takeout pho and a sandwich. Though eating soup on the road isn't the easiest, I was dealing with a cold and pho sounded exactly like what I needed. So good. This was my first time trying Pho and I loved it!!! Perfect for the colder months! I ordered the small shrimp pho and hot tea. Everything was piping hot and very well seasoned. My food came out prompt and everyone was super nice. I unknowingly spent about an hour there eating lol. My bowl was a lot bigger than I imagined!! Needless to say I'm super full and ready for a nap. Next time I'm in the area I'll have to try the flank. There are so many options here. See for yourself.... So I reduced my stars due to the fact that upon checking out I was charged for the medium bowl when I ordered a small!! Apparently my bowl was bigger than imagined because they gave me a bigger bowl. I asked the guy checking me out how could the words SMALL and MEDIUM get confused he just giggled and said nothing but "yeah you had the medium bowl." Then pointed at some guys table to show me a large. That to me was very disappointing because I made it CLEAR to him specifically when I walked in that it was my first time at a restaurant like this. I'm upset because I feel he should've charged me for the small in which I ordered and apologized for that mistake. How was I supposed to know how small a small bowl was? It's cool tho. VN PHO! Came to Atlanta to visit a friend and was having pho withdrawals. Yes, there's such a thing for pho-addicts. VN PHO will take care of those pho withdrawals but won't necessarily satisfy it. There's nothing wrong with the pho, it's just not the best I've had. Atmosphere: The restaurant looks amazing. It is super clean and with very well lighting. The servers are nice and helpful and comes by frequently to refill waters. Food: Pho- It's not the best pho I've had but it's not the worst either. Only pho place that is near and I think the best!!! I've tried looking for great pho places but they all either have sucky reviews or really far. The place is clean, seat you really fast. Food is given really quick. Never had a problem with this place. The reason I didn't give it a extra rating is that the waiters don't really have good customer service. This is an excellent little restaurant if you love Pho. The pho is offered in three sizes small medium and large. We went with the medium bowls and still had plenty leftover to take home. I ordered the shrimp pho and had them add some chicken to it. It was excellent! The broth was very savory and it was spiced perfectly. A word of caution to Future patrons of this restaurant some of the soups offered say sliced pork on the menu, this restaurant's interpretation of that is pork liver. So, if you are not a fan of liver be wary of ordering any food that say pork in the description. Other than that one little surprise that my mother had gotten upon receipt of her dish, everything else was perfect. We finished our meal with two Honey Dew bubble teas. Firstly, when you're feeling extremely under the weather before flying and after you essentially want to hydrate and eat broth (is what they say) Granted, my friend ventured to this restaurant and come to my surprise I devoured and don't usually add mint or jalapeños. But I wanted to feel better and soon . This place saved me under the circumstances. I wouldn't dismiss this place based off of my experience or the reviews. Now this is a great authentic Vietnamese restaurant . Touching on about every note of authenticity. But let me point a couple things of guys,first You walk in , you are immediately met with someone who kinda lets you seat yourself , but points you in a general direction . The place is a open floor with booths lined against the walls and tables in the middle. The decor is very minute and simple , nothing to overwhelming . But haha you notice in the corner to the left a huddle or group of waiter who are not doing anything but talking to each other . Yet our water hasn't been filled? At last we wave our cups in the air wildly to get some attention . Ok. Which is two reason I had taken off star. We had minimal interaction with the waitress , but the food was delicioussss. I'm a pescatarian , yes my fellow pescatarians it's approved! I had gotten the seafood pho which includes shrimp and squid . Although I wish it had fish balls included. I have been a regular customer here for the past 3 years and recently (about 5 times) when i come for lunch/dinner this waiter's name i believe is Tuan ( tall-ish, skinny) took my order. I ordered a simple chicken rice dish with fried rice and every time i emphasized that i wanted my fried rice to have egg MIXED in it (hence egg fried rice)...the problem always come out to be my rice with a side order of a fried egg. Which is completely 2 different things and do not add the same taste to my fried rice. I noticed Tuan always had his airpod in his ear when taking orders for me and others. That's probably the reason why he couldn't hear me and messed up every single time. And he messed it up 5 times in a row and i cannot bear with this unprofessional work ethic anymore. Not to mention his facial expression is so mad/angry looking. Every time i see his face makes me feel like unwanted in the restaurant. He Did not even greet anyone at my table. They have a pho challenge where if you finish their huge pho bowl in 30 minutes, you get a t-shirt and the pho is free If you surrender, it is $20. With my 3 hour drive from the north GA mountains to Macon to see my parents, I knew I had to get Vietnamese. I have been craving Vietnamese food forever and this was the best opportunity. I didn't want to drive into Atlanta because traffic sucks around lunch time so I kept looking on yelp for places near my route. I finally found several that was open before 11 am in morrow which I was super surprised about. This place in particular was open at 930, and in the same direction of where I was going so it was a match made in heaven. I arrived promptly at 1058 and was immediately greeted by someone and he pointed me to the directions of a few booth. I sat myself and soon after was greeted with a cup of water with a slice of orange in it and a menu. This restaurant is less than 5 minutes from I75 off of the Main Street. It was located right behind a gas station in a small strip but was hidden to the L corner with a belie VN PHO sign I believe. The decor was simple and minimal, which I like and the service was prompt and quick. The servers even spoke Vietnamese AND English which is always a plus. For food, their menu was quite large but I have been craving braised catfish (Ca kho to) so I ordered the com phan for 2 people (family dinner). It came with egg rolls but I switched it to spring rolls so I only received one roll and it was quite small but still good. It also came with canh chua ca but I switched it to tom, so that's a sweet and sour Vietnamese soup with Broth, and it even came with dessert. A flan. All of this was huge and SO GOOD! Food 3 stars: The Shrimp Pho was okay. They don't sell it in a small, only medium and large. I ordered the large for $8.95 which was decently sized. The broth was okay. Ingredients looked fresh and they gave plenty. The hot chili sauce wasn't nearly as spicy as I am use to. The price is right but the food is just okay. Service 3 stars: I was greeted immediately but once I said I was doing take out, the service went right out of the door. He just pointed to the front counter. Being that it was my first time i was unsure as to where to go. After I arrived at the counter I had to wait for someone even though there were multiple people walking around who did not acknowledge me. Once the guy arrive i had to explain that i was a new patron and needed a menu...so he handed it to me without saying anything, smiling, or something as simple as to how may i help you. I ordered and he pointed somewhere for me to sit and wait. So I wondered through the restaurant until i found the spot i thought he was talking about. The wait for my food was short. I had to ask for hot chili sauce and sriracha but the guy (who was eating lunch) was extremely friendly and helpful. Where was he my entire visit? He even helped me tie my bag back. Although no one was rude they were very unhelpful and a little to uncaring about the service they provided. I LOVE this place. The atmosphere is amazing! Of course the pho is amazing. I love to order extra lime and jalapeño. I always order the rice spring rolls. They are always so fresh and the peanut sauce is perfect. My mouth waters when I think about this place. I love coming here if I'm feeling a little under the weather or if it's just a gross rainy day. I love that they put little orange slivers in your water. I do wish that the restaurant wasn't behind a gas station and near an almost abandoned plaza because it makes the restaurant seem a bit old. Customer service was alright, he took our orders and we got our food quickly, however, he didn't come back and asked us if everything was fine, which it was but i did needed a refill on my water which is not a big deal. I like going here with my sister. We enjoy their pho and bhan mi with bbq pork. I prefer with shrimp, or round eye steak pho. It's like having a bite of happiness. Their spicy chilli sauce is to die for, if you are like me and can't handle the heat, careful how much of it you add. Despite the snot and tears, you want to keep gulping down that hell fire of a delicious broth. It's a pretty large open space hidden behind the gas station. The waiters are kind and service is quick, you wont be sitting too long before a meal is in front of you. So far it has been a great place to go for Saturday lunch. They miss a star because I've tried a few other things that I've liked more in other places. Their spring rolls, for example, leave something to be desired. Their food is great! I personally love their avocado smoothies and tofu Banh Mi. The tofu Banh Mi isn't on the menu but they always make it for me anyway which I always appreciate. I only reduced one star because the food isn't always consistent. It's never bad it just isn't always the same when I go.
