Their food is great! I personally love their avocado smoothies and tofu Banh Mi. The tofu Banh Mi isn't on the menu but they always make it for me anyway which I always appreciate. I only reduced one star because the food isn't always consistent. It's never bad it just isn't always the same when I go. Sometimes they don't put sauce on my Banh Mi and other times they do so that docks a start in my opinion. But I highly recommend them! They will accommodate your requests! read more

I am a regular here, I notice that the manger was picking at his nose. When I wanted him to get my receipt I ask him to sanitize his hands because I saw him pick his nose. So he asked another server to give me my receipt. My step dad wanted to get a to-go container and a to-go cup, and the manger still touched the container and cup without sanitizing his hands. I told the manger that my step dad does not want that, because he did not sanitize his hand after picking his nose. He finally just tossed the container and cup on the table and sanitized his hands. He looked very upset that he had to sanitize his hands. Also, the staff doesn't wear their masks when they're sorting the vegetables and putting chopsticks in the disposable bags. I want to be fair here, I have been back here 4x since that review and the service have been great with all my visit. Note I only ordered the Tai pho here just because I hate the precook or set appt. But the broth here is above average and the service now is much much better compare to other pho joint. I was happy to see free delivery for this restaurant on Postmates ,a restaurant delivery app. I love that they offer delivery of their Thai Tea which is like a frosty compared to other Restaurants that just serve it over ice. Their buhn mi sandwich is very affordable at less than 4$ each and I've eaten at the restaurant also and it nice clean and has tons of seating. This is a great place to get Pho anytime I'm within 20 miles of this restaurant I try to come here and get some food to eat and to go. I have sampled almost everything on the menu, including the bubble teas which are delicious. I always get a sandwich to go and one of the bowls of Pho or a dish with rice. Out of the dozen plus menu items I have sampled they are all great and hit the craving spot I have that day. I've been coming here for many years and it's always been fine and decent. But today threw me off. As I was eating my rice and a few bites later, I noticed that there was a strand of hair that was basically tucked underneath that whole pile of rice. I just ate around it & decided to wait until I was finished to let the waiter know. I was very hesitant to do so because I didn't want to seem "extra" but at the end of the day, it was very unsanitary. My partner had called the waiter over for me & I mentioned the strand of hair on my plate and he went over to who I assume was his supervisor? He was young & dressed very comfortable with sweatpants; not business casual. He came over and gave an attitude like it was my fault for continuing eating the rest of my dish when I had "obviously" seen it? Even though it was hidden. This is my go to Vietnamese restaurant on the south side. Everything is decently priced. Usually come here when I'm craving Pho. the pricing between the sizes (small, medium, large) isn't much of a difference. The small size is more than enough but for like 80 cents you can get a little more. Sometimes I'll order a dish with pork chops. I have no idea what it's called but it comes with rice, cucumbers, carrots, 2 pork chops, and some type of fish sauce. It's so good! Doesn't take long for the food to come out. The service is okay but don't expect a refill on your water without having to flag a waiter down. I've tried the avocado bubble tea and taro flavored. The avocado flavor left a lot to be desired but the taro is always on point! If you're one of those people who like challenges they have a Pho Challenge where you eat a big bowl of Pho. If you finish it- the food is free and you get a t-shirt. Also if you come here a lot- they have a frequent visitor thing set up by the register. After so many visits you get a discount or something for free. Never really paid any attention to the details. read more

Vietnamese Food Enthusiast When ever you get a chance to visit Hotlanta (Atlanta) Georgia and are craving for some authentic Vietnamese dishes, I strongly recommend you to visit VN Pho! I was recently visiting Atlanta to attend a Networking Conference, and right after a long flight into town, guessed what...I was craving for some old fashion Vietnamese Rice Dish "Com Tam Bi Xuong". :-) So I text my cousin and she recommended VN Pho! I did find my rice dish and boy was it full-filling. The restaurant owner and waiters was very friendly and are attentive to your needs. The price is decently affordable for the quality of food you're getting. I later return for my trial run at one of my favorites Viet's dish called "Hieu Tieu Kho Dac Biet"!!! I'll tell you, VN Pho got this dish down! They have all kinds of varieties in the dish and the sauce was delicious! read more

It's down the street from my parents house and is a definite convenience when I'm hungry for some Asian food. Whether you're sick, hung over, or just want some sort of noodle soup...the Pho here will really help you with that. I usually sip on the soup as is before adding anything to it. They offer so many different Asian food items that whatever you're in the mood for (soup, meat, rice, noodles, etc) .. you'll be able to find it here. My fave...Taro Bubble/Boboa tea! Oh, one thing I can say I don't like there...there Banh Mi sandwiches. I felt as if they were trying to take a shortcut with it and it just didn't taste good. I've been here a couple times, mostly because it's down the street from where my friend's live. The first time, I can't remember much about, but the second time, I ordered #30, with chicken and miso soup. The chick was a little dry, and the soup tasted strange, but it wasn't bad fare. The bubble tea was not what I'm used to, and tasted very strongly of artificial mango. This place, as far as giving back to the customer, is great. They have these punch cards that after eating there 5 times, you can get a free bubble tea. And they recently started a customer value card that you sign up for, and scan in the restaurant after you pay for your meal. After eating there 10 times, you get free Pho. It's a neat thing, and I wish more companies would do it. I think I read a previous review stating that it was "a solid 3 star restaurant". And I couldn't say it better myself. read more

I was stopped at the gas station next door around lunchtime. I smelled something amazing (very surprising at a Citgo). Around the corner I found the source: VN Pho. I'm very glad too. Pho is all about the broth. As long as the restaurant is getting good quality noodles and meat, and the vegetables are fresh and clean, it's just a matter of not messing them up. But the broth makes or breaks the bowl. VN Pho's broth is very good. It had a nice spice profile, the flavor of star anise stood out prominently. It was decently beefy. It was not at all sweet. It is a little saltier than I would like. As for the aforementioned "don't mess them up" parts, the meat, noodles and mix ins. They don't mess them up. I got the #9; eye round, flank and brisket. The eye of round was especially good. The brisket had some chewy bits, which I like. The vegetables were good and fresh. The green chilis were cut thicker than I like, they overpowered any bite that had one in it. Prices were fair. Service is normal for a Vietnamese restaurant. They're very nice and helpful if you need something, otherwise they pretty much take you order, bring your food and leave you alone. Quick and efficient. I didn't notice they'd brought my check with my food, so the waiter was very confused when I asked for it. You pay at the counter when you're done. If I'm in the area again I'd go back for sure. read more

WORST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER. Do not go here. From the point of entrance, we did not get greeted. There was no "hi, how many" or "hello, how are you" When we sat down, the server who approached us did not greet us either. We had two soup, pho and Bun bo hue. It was SO BLAND. There was no flavor. The eye rounds were very thick for the Pho and the meat for the bun bo hue was very tough. So I'm sure they rushed the cooking process. I am Vietnamese so I know what it's supposed to taste like and I'm also a server so I know how to treat guest when they come into the restaurant. Whoever gave this place a 5 star, they don't know what Viet food should taste like. I would never recommend it to anyone. As soon as I walked in, a waiter wanted to seat me, but I told him I was ordering to go, so he gestured me to the counter. I walked straight to the counter and there was someone ready to take my order. The menu has the usual Vietnamese fare I expected, including sandwiches (Vietnamese sandwiches are the best). I wanted a vermicelli dish with meat and veggies. They had several choices and I ordered the beef. Was super delicious and was what I expected. Decor of restaurant reminded me of Vietnamese restaurants in the LA area, and there are tons. Kind of big and open family tables. Nothing fancy, but not unpleasant. So, to me this was a good indication of the restaurant overall. Staff was friendly. Didn't have to wait long for food. Prices were a little higher that I expected. But, I will go there again. We frequent VN Pho roughly once a month or every two months. It's BF preferred pho spot on the southside and one of the only places I can grab a veggie noodle soup bowl with my preferred clear bean noodles! BF will usually order a small bowl of pho and I order my usual veggie noodle soup (one size, a medium) and they have shrimp egg rolls with no pork mixed in, so it's a definite win-win for me. Service is mediocre, but usually friendly, polite or courteous. We always finish or try to finish our dishes (I will forever be struggling to finish a medium bowl of veggie noodle soup). I love the fact that they have chili oil and sugar, I tend to make my noodle soup the Laos way and they cater to my needs!
