The place was recommended by a friend. Super clean , fast and Claudia was excellent!

First off, I downloaded this app just to leave a review because it was that bad. If there was a way to leave no stars, I would. From the second we walked in there, the service was awful. Me and my family came in to get four pedicures before 12, we walked in at 11:12. They got us done in time BUT, huffed and puffed the ENTIRE time. They asked if we wanted to sit together and I said yes, then tried to split us up. I'm pretty sure that she didn't even do half of the things she was supposed to do. My lady was ROUGH, my sisters lady BUSTED her blister with the clippers and then started peeling the skin off?? Was talking about my sisters feet, and tried to argue with me about some of the colors.. the SAME colors and brand I have back home. On the way out, a lady yelled at me to get out of her way and then THE SAME LADY stepped on my other sisters big toe and ruined the paint. Then said "well you should have moved"... I mean really. I NEVER leave reviews but this place was absolutely awful. read more

Worst nail salon ever. Incredibly disorganized. Waited almost an hour and after watching people come in after me get served first, and then When I asked about it, was told to just wait. So I walked out. They have no idea who came in when and have terrible customer service. The technicians are nice enough but it's not worth the wait or stress. The management is horrible. Don't go here. It would be worth it to drive 15 or 20 min to anywhere else to avoid this terrible nail salon read more

Trash from beginning to end! I went in to get a pedicure, arrived an hour before closing time. The girl took 13 minutes to do my pedicure!!!!! Rushed my pedicure to the point that she grabbed her things while I was paying and walked out to go home, didn't even attempt to collect a tip! WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!!!! Not to mention that the pedicure was TRASH and chipped 4 days later! SMH! read more

I went here for the first time today and I have to say, I wasn't all too impressed. Here's a summary of my visit: The GOOD: -No appointments....they only take walk-ins, YAY! -I was in the pedicure chair within 5 minutes of walking in. -Nice massage chairs. -Good prices. On Mon, Tues and Wed you can get a mani-pedi combo for $30! -The place is in the plaza with CVS....ample and free parking! The BAD: -Not a huge selection of polish colors....some OPI, some Essie, but none of the latest colors. -My nail tech didn't speak English, not one bit. -The nail techs yapped loudly to one another throughout my entire visit. "Oye.....mami!" A little too much Cuban gossip talk for me. -My nail tech repeatedly stopped working on my fingers/toes in order to have conversations with other people. You wouldn't want clients to put a damper on social hour!!! -Several of the nail techs talked on their cell phone or texted while working on clients. Mine repeatedly stopped what she was doing to text. WTF?! ....and the UGLY: -My nail tech was so rough on my cuticles that she caused two to bleed (one finger, one toe). We had to put pressure on my finger for quite a while to stop the bleeding. She had cut open nearly the entire nail bed. The entire cuticle removal process was painful (which hadn't happened during other manicures). I will give this place a second chance (it's super convenient!), but when I go again I will request one of the Asian nail techs. Sorry, but they seemed much more quiet, focused and cell phone free than the loud and distracted Cuban lady who botched my cuticles. read more

The majority of staff is attentive... to the banter between themselves. This is a pretty big negative for two reasons: 1) On the day I was there staff were bad-mouthing previous days' clients who had complained about poor service AND attributed the complaining nature to the customers' ethnicity (NOT cool); and, 2) Staff are handling sharp instruments that I think would require more concentration than talking, no? I was assigned a random technician as I walked-in without an appointment. On the day of my visit, my technician buffed my cuticles with a vengeance that the skin on one got "raw" (I let that go, it happens). Then, while chatting with another technician about her previous day customer who had complained, she cut me. Isn't it ironic? Unfortunately for me, it was on a day I had taken aspirin (FML!!!). I left without finishing my pedicure. (Update: Ten days later I am on meds for Paronychia. FML.) If you need a polish change only and don't mind mean spirited chatter OR if you know of a more skilled/professional technician working here, then this place may be OK for you. Otherwise, and as my technician commented when speaking ill of the aforementioned customer, "Take your business elsewhere." read more

I am quite disappointed with this place. I went on Saturday and I have to say I have definitely had better - starting with their choice of nail polish. I arrived on Saturday, looking for a quiet place to zip in and zip out. Reading that this was an Asian place I figured the nail tech wouldn't be talking to me much (I didn't read the reviews stating that it was mostly Hispanic women working there). Fair enough, at least the lady taking care of me was nice, but I could have done without all the convo and MJ stories. Moving along, the lady that took care of me did a good job on both my feet and hands, and was quick... so why am i giving this place only two stars? Because, I had my nails done on Saturday, and by Sunday night, the beautiful french manicure I'd paid $47 for had turned yellow! seriously yellow - and I had done absolutely nothing all day other than wash my hands that could have possibly damaged the color. Telling me that the nail polish they use is of such low quality it explains why there were so many ladies there week after week getting their color updated. In all honesty, I get my wax at a place that only uses Essie nail polishes and for french mani/pedi charges $37 - this place of course is by apt. only, where VN is walk-ins only. So in the desperation for a quick mani/pedi I was unfaithful and paid the consequences in the end. All I can say is at least my cuticles look good - that's about it. read more

VN Nails provides quality efficient no-frills service that many have come to expect from Asian-owned nail salons. What I appreciate most is that I can get a quality nail job that easily fits within my schedule and budget. If you are looking for a place to get pampered, you are better off spending more money on a pedicure at a fancy spa. But if you are looking for a place for monthly (or weekly) maintenance, this is a good place. VN Nails is located in the CVS shopping plaza near 27th and Coral Way and get this -- it is open SEVEN days a week. I am a big fan of places that permit me to squeeze in beauty appointmens on a Sunday. No appointments are ever necessary. One simply walks in and takes a number from the deli-counter number dispenser and sits in an empty chair. Sometimes Saturdays can be really busy and the wait can be long, but I bring a book and enjoy the background of lively banter among the predominantly Cuban employees who do pedicures. The pedicure chairs are lined up against a wall and the chairs provide really intense massages (better than what you get on your feet). A 20 minute pedicure costs $22. Services provided here: eyebrow waxing (done in front of everybody); pedicures, manicures, acrylics, and gel nails. read more

This was a great experience. I'm really happy I came here. We needed a mani pedi and a refill and pedi. It took about a hour and a few minutes to complete both task. The guy know exactly what I wanted. He shaped my nails to my liking. He was happy with his mani pedi as well. I'll definitely be back . read more

I will never come back here again. I went for a gel mani pedi and during my manicure she was cutting my cuticles and she was barbaric to say the least she took out a CHUNK of my finger! I started to bleed but not like a dot of blood no, a was bleeding so much it was dripping. She did not even apologize she said "oh that wasn't even a big deal, not even to have been bleeding like that." I told her it hurt a lot when she did it. No apology. This morning I woke up with my fingers looking red swollen and infected. Absolutely unacceptable! read more

I really want to like this place. I really do. I've now given them THREE chances to prove me wrong-- and I've given up. While I thought things were looking up on my latest visit (this time my nail technician actually made eye contact with me, everyone else just ignored me entirely...), just one day after my visit, I was kicking myself for paying this place for a third disappointing manicure. I really love getting shellac because I'm busy and don't have time to get a manicure every 5 days. At every other salon I've been to, my manicures have lasted between 2-3 weeks. Each time I've gotten them done at VN Nails, my nails have started chipping within 3 days. This past time, it was literally the day after my appointment, so I've given up. They have a lot of technicians, so if you're looking for somewhere to pop in the night of a big event, it could work for you. But if you're looking to get a manicure that lasts more than 20 minutes, I'd recommend finding a new place. read more

I finally found my new go-to nail place. I loved that i didnt need an appt., I went expecting to have to wait, (Wednesday at 5:30pm) and was seated on the spa chair in less than a minute. My technician was friendly and did a great job on both my mani & pedi. They had an assortment of colors, the salon is very clean, and the prices are decent ($30 for mani and pedi). Its easy, convinient, there is plenty of parking, and the technicians are very good, my nails look great! Im excited to become a regular. read more

I tried VN Nails today for the first time and I'm quite disappointed with my nails, however it's not the worst I've ever had either. Their polish selection is not great, a few OPI & Essie colors but a lot of the same colors in different hues. I did not have an appointment so waited about 20 minutes before someone got started on my acrylic fill in. The man who did my nails was friendly, but I had to ask him repeatedly to redo parts of my fill (reshape, clean up my cuticles, etc). Even after asking him to go back over and fix them I still wasn't pleased with the outcome, left with polish on my cuticles and uneven nails. I ended up spending 30 minutes at home filing them myself. My index nail fill already peeled halfway off. Also, he forgot to put on top coat. The upside was that it only cost me $18 but you get what you pay for. I will not be returning to this salon. The search for a decent nail salon continues! read more

The only reason they get 3 stars and not more is because it not consistent. Sometimes some of the girls are fast and other times they take long because they're gossiping. It's usually okay unless I'm short on time. Just saying. Other than that the nails always look good. Only once did the make me bleed when cutting my cuticles. read more

Hand down the best Gel Mani/ Reg Pedi I've received in a very very long time. I agree with most people, they only speak Spanish, but if you're fluent they'll spark up a conversation with anyone! Very friendly employees. I have always visited Yudy- she remembers small details and always follows up. She's very attentive and truly enjoys her job. I wish all nail techs in south Florida were like her! read more

I've been here a couple of times, seems to remind me why I don't use it as a go to nail salon. After working late I called and asked 30 minutes before closing time if they were still taking clients (I had a trip the day after) the lady said if I made it before closing time they would take me... "GREAT" I made it at 8:10.... Upon arrival I signup on the waiting list and sat to wait around 20 minutes.. I realized it was about 9 now and sitting there all I can hear is the technicians bad mouthing about staying late one lady even pointed at the waiting area and Said in Spanish "what do these people think it's 3pm" while other clients laugh talk about completely unprofessional... I get it, it's late you want to go home... If you boss " who is very nice" wants to take more clients and your not happy with it find another job... Most of these women have been their for years.... Once attended the lady was very kind... Whatever, I sat down and my manicure began she made small talk and complimented my color choice... This is where it becomes unpleasant... We all do it use are phones while working... But not for a full on text conversation while we are with a client, she constantly stopped to texted back even nipping me while in the process (I literally felt annoying pain all night thanks lady) she then looked at me and said I'm trying to do this really quick, I smiled and stayed silent... To add On I did not see her pick sanitized tools and I had to stop her from using a brush around my cut that was placed in sealed container. Can't say my nails look bad besides the nipped finger they look decent, my toes look pretty good just the process was not enjoyable, which is part of getting your nails done. I won't be coming back, I do not appreciate paying my hard worked money to disrespectful employees. read more

Easy, reasonable and great results. No need for an appointment, just sign in. Nice pedicure stations with massage chairs.

This is probably the biggest nail salon in a strip mall I've ever seen. They have about 2 dozen manicure and pedicure stations and about 15 or so technicians on a Thursday afternoon. They DO NOT take appointments, walk in only and there's always a wait. main observation... Half way though a pedicure, one tech offered another tech some cookies and she just stopped what she was doing and starting eating - kinda gross read more

This is my nail salon and I absolutely love it! I've been going here for at least the past 6 years and I find it to be the best quality and best valued place in Miami. As I visit regularly to get my nails done, I know the staff well. They are very polite, have an excellent selection of nail polishes (Essie), and overall offer a very friendly environment. Whether you're looking for a manicure or a pedicure, this is also the place for you. They have brand new pedicure machines, comfortable massage chairs, and are very clean and hygenic. I'm personally a very picky person and have never had a complaint. If you're looking for a good, new place, try out VN Nails. read more

Wow! Talk about a Nail Factory, they have (I couldn't count) 30-40+ chairs for manicures and pedicures! They get you in and out, no appointment necessary and they are open LATE, including Saturdays! My gel manicure by Denny was amazing and 2 weeks later is still perfect other than the growth. I highly suggest them, not fancy, but for a great manicure, no appointment necessary and even for Saturday night beauty before going out, you can't beat them. read more

I have been to this place twice and both times I walked out with 2 or 3 nails infected. After 3 days, my nail is still red and puffy. Not gentle manicurists at all. She said I had thin skin which is why it's bleeding, but if she sees I have thin skin, why doesn't she take more care? I gave it a second try, but not going back again. I also wonder about their sterilization policy. She pulled out the utensils from a "pencil case"! Were not in a sealed envelope. And she put it back there after she was finished with me. read more

They do not sterilize their tools after each use. This should be the primary reason you eliminate this nail salon as an option. Furthermore, the tech will scrub your feet for just 2-3 minutes during the pedicure. I do more in my shower at home! The entire experience is quite rushed. I should mention the techs are rather talented. The finished product was perfection. This was also the cheapest mani/pedi I have ever had...$60. However, the risk of infection is just not worth it. read more

Good job on the shellac mani! It was $27 and you have to tip in cash. VN is a first come first served, not your typical appointment based nail salon. If your looking for a good place to do your nails in Miami this is the place. They have a lot of technicians all good and professional. They Have a lot of color choices and have a great mani/pedi deal M-W Normally there is not a long wait except before big holidays when it gets a bit packed. There is a Starbucks across the street and they also have complimentary coffee for the patrons. Lee the owner is always so nice and helpful. read more

I've given this place two chances. The first time the technician literally tried to bully me into giving her a cash tip when I had no cash on me. Rude plus honestly it was a mediocre mani-pedi. Now I'm actually sitting in the pedicure chair while the girl who told me she cannot speak English is telling me "don't worry" as she can probably see the pained expression on my face. Then when she asked if I wanted a manicure, I said I don't think I have enough time and she was laughing...I don't know if she's new or if she literally doesn't give a crap about what her client wants but I will never be back. Also I was skipped on the list of people even though I signed in and waited patiently for 30 minutes. read more

Fairly priced, great service, hilarious conversations, every nail tech is sure to do a good job. The owner Lee and his wife Lily are just the most beautiful people you may have the pleasure or meeting. I've been a loyal customer for years here. Most of my family are regulars here too.. well, we love them. And even when I've tried to go somewhere else I come right back home to VN and ask them to please fix my hands and feet. Haha I highly recommend them. Make sure when you walk in to sign in on the clip board before you start checking out the bin full of colors.. read more

VN nails is a little neighborhood nail spot, and it's a great bargain. This is not a luxurious, overpriced spa experience. There are no appointments, you come in and write your name on the clipboard - first come, first serve. There are so many nail techs working that the wait is never too long. But the experience depends entirely on which nail technician you get. Experience #1: my tech seemed to be new. She kept asking other people to help her fix mistakes, didn't know where to find cotton balls or remover, and had an attitude like she didn't want to be there. She was very sloppy and haphazard with all of it... she kept looking away at her friends and talking to people WHILE trimming, filling, buffing, and cutting my cuticles. So of course, my nails were uneven and the cuticles were butchered. I don't mean they were slightly red, I mean she actually drew blood on several fingers. On my thumb it was a huge, painful gash. And she never apologized for hurting me, just kept chomping her gum and tried to stop the bleeding like I wouldn't notice. And because the cuticles were terrible (even the ones that weren't bleeding were rough and jagged...they looked like ruffles potato chips!) the manicure and pedicure were just awful. My nails and toes look better when I do them myself at home. Experience #2: I explained to the manager what happened and he made sure I got an better tech. Her name was Barbara and she was awesome. Extremely skilled, polite, focused, gentle, and great attention to detail. I have no complaints, my nails and toes looked perfect. read more

This is my favorite place for mani/pedis. After trying multiple places this is the one i liked. Till now do no have a favorite Technician so every time I walk in someone different does my nail. To this date no one disappoints me. Even on slow days the place is always busy, but you don't wait. I personally try Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays. After that you will wait and I'd you have a favorite technician may be a longer wait. They always get the sanitized instruments from a closed package. All the mani/pedi staff is Hispanic, very warm, friendly and chatty. They work reasonably fast and in detail. Place looks clean enough, the color selection is fine but it's not fancy or upscale just a nail salon with good and friendly staff. The work last a reasonable time. read more

Always a little crowded but if you want your acrylic nails to look awesome, ask for Kim, he's is the best!

I've been going to this place for many years but lately they have gone down hill. Today just verified why I am no longer going to go. My nail technician went a little cuticle cutting crazy and cut 5 of my fingers to the point that they bled. One finger didn't stop bleeding and she had to ask another technician for a liquid in which she calls "911" (which stung like all hell). Now onto my nails... I receive a gel manicure and she missed the sides of my nails on some of them and left nail polish on some of my fingers underneath the nail. The blue color is beautiful but the rim of red blood is not cute. read more

This is really the best place to get your nails done in our area. You can't go wrong with their "gel" manicure it lasts 2-3 weeks without chipping. I have tried different places over the years due to how busy they are on days before holidays and such, but it just isn't worth it. Service is quick, quality is good, and price is satisfactory. This is my go to nail place. I haven't had a bad experience yet **knock on wood** I have tried different ladies and they have all been very nice and accommodating. Many of them are very funny so there are not many dull moments here. Recently Lisandra has been doing my Manicure (Shellac) and Pedicure - I can't complain, she does them very neat. Thank you Lisandra! its never been a long wait for me. They have many different colors available. One thing i do have to say is, some of the shellac colors don't always match the regular "non-shellac" so make sure you ask them to check for you.
