I looked for a salon nearby and found V Nails. I read the Yelp reviews and thought I would try it. I called, made a same day appointment and had Mimi take care of my gel refill. She was sweet, a good listener and did my nails very well. She heard me about what I liked and needed and that's what she did. I thought the nails went well, so I asked if I could get a pedicure while there. She also did my spa pedicure and it went just as well. I will return and recommend the salon to others. We called ahead of time to make an appointment and ask for prices for pedicure and refill given that my daughter previously did her nails here and we only paid $60 for a full set and pedicure we assumed that it was going to be around the same price. However, after completing the job they had the audacity to charge us $275 because they claim "it took long" Needless to say the nails came out horrific they just threw glitter on them (not worth $275). I requested for her to take them off because there was no way were going to pay her that amount of money and she said "NO" she proceeded to threaten and slaughter my 15-year-old, told her she would call the cops on her she didn't give her her money! So last night I was very excited to get myself pamper and try something new that I don't normally do which are acrylic gels. I was greeted by the owner and I told her the service I needed. so a young staff was next to the owner by the cashier stand charging the last client she attended and I hear them both speaking in their language. the young staff didn't seem to be very happy. After finishing charging her client. she walked away from the cashier stand to the back room near the restroom, I am thinking she is going to take her break, but I see her with her lack facial expressions all mad. The owner directed me to the young staff nail tech desk and I sat down and waited almost 3 minutes to the point I can see that they are both arguing. so I stoop up to look for my nail colors and it took me 1 minute and the young staff was still in the back room. three ladies walked in after me there was silent from them both for a minute. then the owner literally called her from her cell phone and still were arguing. it came to the point that I was getting upset, because the young staff made it seen that she didn't want to take care of me. it was too obvious that the owner switch me to a gentleman that I believe it was her husband and then the young staff came back to the nail tech decks and attended the a lady that came after me. I honestly felt rejected and discriminated. the young staff was vey childish and rude. not sure if they were related, but it was unprofessional. I don't know if they are all related, but they all started talking in their language, which it was very rude. so time goes by and the gentleman finally finished my nails. I wasn't very satisfied with the color and the design that I had requested. They seem not to have all the experience and knowledge as a nail designer. I don't write reviews but I think it's important for me to let others know before they decide to go. I do dip powder and the way it has to be removed is with acetone, just like gel polish. One of the younger male employee proceeded to rip off every single one of the polish from my nail. No acetone was used at all! Imagine getting acrylics ripped off, that was the pain of it. Decided to give them a second chance and got my nails done with the owner. She was doing amazing; when it came time to buff my nails she was distracted by her phone and broke my nail down the center. I strayed away and tried a nail salon a close friend recommended and nothing compares. Once you become a regular the owner, Ni treats you like a friend. I needed to get my nails done in a pinch and came in as a walk in. I was seen promptly which was nice. Although it was a busy Sunday, I really felt like Ni still took her time to make sure my nails came out perfect. I'm very picky about the shape, but they came out IMMACULATE. I feel like she could charge more for the quality of nails because they came out great and lasted over 3 weeks with no chipping. Ni is also very kind and it's obvious she truly values her clients. I want to follow up on my experience today March 29, 2019. I came to a new place to get my acrylic overlay and gel color and OMG! V nails and the nail tech "Ni" at V Nails are hell and this new place i found is heaven. I won't mention the name just because I don't want competition when booking my appointments but just want to share my experience so everyone who's considering going to V Nails realizes that there are way better places out there. This new place I discovered close to my house and close to V Nails has the same price as V Nails and this place is clean, new, has ac, they offer the customers wine, coffee, water etc. The ladies here are very nice and do not talk to others near them in another language nor do they text or talk on the phone and they definitely do not curse. For what you pay at V Nails you could be getting spa like atmosphere and service. I guess now I know why they say "Everything happens for a reason." I am so happy I got fed up of Ni's attitude and negativity because I discovered an awesome place to get pampered at. I even got a pedicure which I wouldn't do at V Nails because the the way the lady would paint my toes looked like a little girl did it. I even refused getting my nail polish changed for $7. I preferred to do my own toes at home with gloves. Now at this new clean and amazing nail place I was able to sit back and enjoy a nice and relaxing pedicure. read more

Just walked out. Ladies, PLEASE, for your own safety be vigilant. The file and toes separator were sealed in a bag but the actual tools used to cut and probe are not. WTH?!! I had a very mean older lady prep my foot bath, as she gathered the clippers and nippers to be used for the pedicure but i noticed that the nail clipper was visibly filled with nail clippings and gunk. When i bought this to her attention, she stated that that one was dirty but the rest are "clean". Yuk! I asked if i could please get the tools from a sealed baggy, but she proceded to speak Vietnamese and repaeted over and over "it clean". This place is definitely deserving of a surprise inspection from the health Dept. They may do a good job but you should ask yourself, at what cost. Sorry but i just cant take the chance of getting an infection or fungus. I recommend you ask for tools in the sealed bag there put in after being sanitized if they can not produce that then chances are good the tools are NOT being sanitized between customers. Gross! I just want to preface this by saying I never write reviews because from one small business owner to another, I understand... however I am extremely disappointed in the service I received and the attitude I got as a paying customer and hopefully I will help someone that is looking for a new salon. I went in on Monday to get acrylic done for my birthday. They looked pretty and I was happy with the shape and design. 2 days later, 8 out of 10 nails started lifting at the nail bed. How??? I went back and I told Ni what the issue was. She didn't even make eye contact with me and was upset that I wanted my nails to be fixed. Please make that make sense to me. I work extremely hard for my money and I expect if I am paying for a service that they will last. Ni finally fixed my nails and so far they look better but I will never go back because of the HORRENDOUS customer service. Please consider how they will treat you if you do your nails and need to go back because of their faulty work before giving them your money. I wish them the best, however, they need to use these reviews (because I am not the only one that thinks their customer service is awful) as a way to better their salon and treat their customers better. read more
