Ken is kind and meticulous. I appreciate his attention to detail and willingness to squeeze me into his schedule. I came in with tips, and he quickly and gently removed them prior to the dip mani. He was careful to file the correct shape as well. The outcome was beautiful. Yusimi did a great job on my pedi. She was gentle and attentive to the health of my feet. Readers/Reviewers please note the Nails and Spa at Dadeland is located within the shopping center across from the Datran center, right off of South Dixie Highway. I was a walk-in customer on Friday, and it was 7:00. The salon closes at 8:00. I was greeted warmly and professionally so I chose to stay for a gel mani and a regular pedi. Luis was my tech and he was absolutely amazing. The facility was clean and tidy. Smelled of fresh laundry and household cleaning products. Ambient music played in the background and there was a TV switched to the local news station on mute. Luis was funny and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed my services and the final product of my nails. The service was amazing and the price was unbeatable ($48). I absolutely will be a returning customer and highly recommend! read more

The worst nail salon that I have ever been to. Not only did the nail tech completely ignore my existence and kept talking to her co-worker, she was not paying attention at all to what she was doing and cut me - completely ignored it as I was bleeding and when I asked her about it, she did absolutely nothing to help and neither did the salon owner (or manager. Or whoever he is) when I approached him. He literally told me to sit while he gets some alcohol to disinfect but instead he started talking to walk in clients. I will be calling the city to come in for a health inspection of this awful place as I am worried that none of their tools are sanitized. Just disgusting - stay away from this place. read more

No question this is the worst manicure I've ever had. The man who did my nails, I think Hui, did not push back my cuticles, file my nails straight, or paint the entire surface of my nails. When I asked him to cut them a hair so they'd be equal in length, he cut the first one so short I had to let him cut the rest to match. He then joked about how short they were. After painting the first layer, I pointed out that he didn't paint all the way to the sides, and so he did fix that by glopping on tons of polish that he later cleaned by wrapping a sheet of cotton dipped in remover around his nail and digging around mine...leaving smears around all edges of my nails. When he finished and I asked him to fix just one that hadn't been shaped well, he rubbed it with his nail and told me it was fine. I was speechless. I feel terrible saying this, but I want future people to be aware, his hands shake and he makes up for that by gripping painfully tight---which doesn't help in the color application. There was practically no massage on hands or feet. He was a sweet older man, but I don't actually think he could see my nails. I have no idea why he works in a nail salon. Especially on a Sunday. Two days before Christmas. Finally, they did not offer a refund. I could have stayed to have it redone, while my 3 family members waited, but chose not to do so. Honestly, one sister has bubbles on her nails, my mom's nails were not cleaned up and are smudged, and while my other sister got a good paint job, the manicurist didn't clean or file well. I will never return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I would say that my first experience here was great!!!! The staff is wonderful and I was extremely happy with my mani and pedi. Had my feet done by Marie. I'm always on the run and she was quick and tedious! From cuticles to massage to painting .. I couldn't have asked for a better job. My mani was done by Mai. She was also great. She helped me match my pedi color with my gel polish and did an amazing job on my mani. I will def be back more often. read more

I was very happy with my gel manicure and regular pedicure at this nail and spa! I had Liliana and it was her first day so I was a little worried but she was very meticulous and did an amazing job! So far it's been 5 days since I have gotten my gel done and it's still holding up and still shines. I'm a nurse and I have natural curly hair so I'm constantly washing my hands and using products in my hair that are oil based, not to mention I love to cook! I've been to multiple nail salons and done gel manicures and within a few days the nail polish cracks within the nailed and comes off sometimes like a sticker. Never lasts not even a week! I will definitely return! I've gotten compliments from strangers and my husband is also very happy with the job done and wants to make sure I go there again! This nail salon is fantastic. I have a nail salon on the bottom floor of my apartment building, and I still prefer to drive to this one. It's very clean, open, and uncrowded inside, unlike a lot of nail salons. It really has a slightly upscale feel. The husband and wife that own the place actually work in the salon, and they are the warmest, friendliest people I've ever met. They really treat you like part of their family, especially if you become a regular. Often, their college aged son and daughter will hang out in the shop and talk to the patrons. And sometimes the wife's (whose name is Ann) crazy sisters will come in and try to set you up with some great guy they know. I always feel like I'm at a girl's retreat when I go there, because of all the jokes and chatting, even among patrons who barely know each other. And they're great nail techs as well! Unfortunately, no one in the shop does nail art (Ann says her old bones can hold still anymore), but they give amazing manis and pedis. They really take their take time on you to make sure they do a good job, and their very big on keeping the nails healthy. There's also a facialist in the salon for any facial treatments you may want or need. I highly recommend this place. They're not as high traffic as many salons, but they should be! I've been going to 2 years, and I'd rather let my nails go to pot than go somewhere else. Try this place, for sure! read more

So I was in the area and looked on yelp so see nail places open on Sunday. This place pooped up with decent review so I tried it. First, they are friendly here I will give it that much. The place just isn't clean. I saw a lady finish a pedicure and leave and all they did was spray down the pedicure chair with water. Is that sanitary? Yelpers beware! I was running early to a hair appointment and stopped in to see if they could do a manicure. The chairs in the front were filled (Two people who were done and waiting for someone else and two who were waiting like me) I proceeded to stand for 15 minutes with not so much as a hello. I stood there waiting when a very rude nail technician came over to yell at me and tell me that they were very busy and were closed. Mind you, it was the middle of the day and they had a lot of customers. There is also no mention that walk ins are not welcome. She proceeded to shoo me out the door and lock the door behind me with the other customers inside. Incredibly rude treatment. I actually like coming here - though there's a language barrier, the manager and the rest of the technicians try their best to communicate with you and make you feel like your business is appreciated. The prices are normal for a Pinecrest establishment. The service is speedy and your nails come out great. However, when you get gel nails, you don't get the massage or the full "manicure" experience, even though you're paying $25 - so it's more expensive because of the polish? They also don't have a huge selection of colors - for a normal manicure or gel. I've had to settle for another color when I go because they don't have the color I'm asking for. Great place - I'm a consistent customer. Fix that glitch though. I want what I'm paying for and more colors! read more

This used to be a good place. I hate to have to write this now but it's not like they give refunds on nails and if I can prevent someone else from wasting their money then that's great. Long story short, these nails are so badly done that within 3 days of getting a new acrylic set HALF of my nails broke! Half! I've been getting acrylic nails for over 10 years and I have never broken that many nails. They're paper thin and the rest of them should be breaking any moment now. Don't let the decor fool you, they do a great job! The guy who did my pedicure was SO gentle and gave a GREAT massage and ended with a hot towel.
