This nail salon is budget friendly, and in my experience (3 overall visits) the technicians are not very experienced. Every time I have been cut when they're fixing my cuticles, they talk on their cells or with each other constantly, definitely not a peaceful environment for a "spa" feel. I also don't feel the hygiene with the supplies is the best, being that I'm diabetic this is a big deal for me! The vibe is ok if you love Latin music as this is all they play on the TV. the service is great. the girl asked me if I liked it or not, checking if I'm ok. Loved the service but the next day I took a shower and they started falling off. I didn't do anything. they just came off on their own and I wasn't happy about it. I did regular Manny petty. my toes didn't come off but I hope they last because I was unhappy that my nails came off. three came off in the shower and I just decided to take them all off cause it looked unusual. great place I would go here again but not for manny petty. read more

This place is nice but they don't clean their nail stuff I got a bad bacteria in my cuticles that I had to go to the Hospital and they had to make a cut to squeeze out the pus. Don't come here if you want to end up with a $5,000 hospital bill ‍ the hospital said I caught a bacteria from there unclean nail stuff been doing my nails since I was 15 and this is the first time it has ever happen to me and I am 30 I called the place to inform them. I waited 1 hr for the nail technician when I had an appt. Not even an apology or some kind if courtesy discount for the tardiness. Also when the tech came, she took her sweet time. Anyway...long story short...she finally finished a mani & pedi with French and with her messing up like 5 times 1 1/2 hrs later. She nicked my pinky cuticle so I started to bleed and she left rock salt residue of my ankles. First and last time I will be here. I am not the first one to give this a one star, and I am not surprised! To begin with, the location is really hard to find parking. The nail technicians are not nice at all, and the job done is worse than sloppy! I have never had a bad service done! It is not expensive, but for that, I would rather do it myself!!! Also, just as the other client said, my nail already chipped, a day after my mani/pedi!!! Keep your US$20 for yourself, save the hassle of fighting for a parking space in a horrible shopping center without enough parking spaces, and and do your main/pedi yourself, I am sure it will be better and you will be much more satisfied than going to this place! read more

I have so much to say about this place. My friend and I came here because we needed to kill time and do our nails before we went back to work. We had about 3 hours before we had to go back, which is more than enough time for a mani pedi. We called in advance saying we were coming in but they said it was walk in only. So we went in right away and noticed they weren't that busy. After about 10 minutes of waiting, we were sat down and they started on our nails. My friend was doing acrilycs and I was doing a regular mani pedi. She finished my manicure and asked me to wait a bit since she had another client. They are very biased about their clients. They only attended immediately the clients they already knew. My friend finished her acrilycs which takes pretty long and I was still waiting for my pedicure. Another lady started on my friends pedicure, and I was still waiting. They finished on my friend...still waiting!! The three hours had passed and I told the lady I had to leave. She apologized, I paid for my mani, and left. I was so mad!! So now for the positive review, my friends acrilycs came out really nice and my mani stayed for about 2 weeks after I left. So if you're willing to wait, then I guess it's worth it! read more

My experience at VIP Lao Nail Salon is excellent. I go every week to do my mani/pedi here and all I can say are wonderful things beginning with the friendly staff and the excellent price. All of the products used are of extremely high quality and everything is clean and sterile. I highly recommend this salon . This place is great for the price!!! But you have come here with time and patience, and lots of it. I love that the techs take their time with you and the polish that use is only Opi or Essie. Do not come now during the holidays even with an appointment, you will have wait! But I think it is worth it! Maya and Lenia are the one that have taken care of me and they are the best! Nails look great. I thought I finally found a good place that could match my gel hand polish to my toes regular polish. They succeeded in that. Their customer service on the other hand is lacking. They had me go find an atm because their credit card machine wasn't working after I had called before my appointment to ask if they took credit cards. They also quoted me $37.00 for gel mani and regular pedi, for which they decided to charge $43.00. After searching hi and lo for an atm in a terrible neighborhood, they did not have change! Terrible. First nail place I went to canceled my appointment 15 minutes before it was scheduled. I thought I was fortunate to find this place just a few blocks away when they claimed they would be able to accommodate me, the same date and the same place. I showed up on time and waited on an hour half before leaving. It was extremely upsetting that they would claim to have availability when they didn't. Just wasted my time and ruined my night. Horrible experience. First of all these people are really rude. Very unorganized! I went in to repair two broken nails and they looked at me with a face. Then when I go to sit down they judge me for having gel nails and start ranting to customers how bad that is. Gees thank you for making look like an outcast. Then they have a hard time taking off the gel. When they finally go to put the plastic tip on my finger it's way to small for that nail. I explained to them it was really tight and uncomfortable to please take it off and put a bigger one. They all ganged up on me saying no it's suppose to be like that. Dude I've been doing my nails for more than 8 years I'm not an idiot. & PLUS IF IM PAYING TO DO MY NAILS ITS GOING TO BE THE WAY IM COMFORTABLE AND THE WAY I WANT TO DO MY NAILS.
