Awesome awesome place!!! This is my new favorite place.. everyone was really nice! Jenny who did my pedi was very detailed in her work.. also sold me in getting gel nail polish color .. which I had already tried at a different location and did not like! Which thanks to Jenny she told me the process. Turns out the other place does it all wrong! The only said part it that this wonderful place VK nails is located in antioch and I live in Daly city.. This place SUCKS I came in around 12:30 pm on today which is the Saturday before Easter okay so I get it your packed but they scheduled a appointment with me to come back at 3:00pm so here it is at 2:50 I walk in never once was I acknowledged or even looked at mind you the same time I came in a very Caucasian man and his daughter walked in ( I'm Black) they serviced them before me and my daughter and we had appointments when I finally had my daughter walk up and ask what about our appointments they told us they were running behind. This place was so much better when Will was the owner!! I went in last Saturday to get a manicure with my mom. I did not like how the new owner did my nails. I got an acrylic set with gel nail polish... first off, he was being super rough when using the electric nail drill, then i asked him if he was going to clean my cuticles and he said the nail drill would remove my cuticles... which it didn't!!! Then, he started gluing the tips to my nail with out cutting down my real nails which were already a little long. The glue was getting stuck to my skin and it felt super uncomfortable. He started shaping my nails and they looked so uneven. When he put the acrylic powder on my nails, he left them super thick!! Since my skin was stuck to my nails from the glue, when he went back to file my nails, he was filing my skin also!! When he was painting my nails with the gel nail polish, he did it super fast and he got clumps of nail polish on the sides of my nails... i was so unhappy with the finished result, such a waste of $35... read more

I just recently started going back to VK Nails after 6 years of not getting my nails done. This time I brought my daughter for her 8th grade dance and graduation. She loved her nails and said she wouldn't go to no other place. I also got my nails done. Since June I have been once a month to get my nails done and that's because they LAST. The last set I had done was July 14th for my birthday. Today is August 24th and I have to get my fill. I broke 2 weeks ago and the man in the front seat fixed it quickly for me with no charge. The people have been friendly and very accommodating. Today I am going to get my fill once they open. I can't speak for the many negative reviews because they are far from my experience. Very unhappy with my pedicure. It was my first time at this place and I had to tell the lady that did my pedi to smooth out my nails and do my cuticles. What a waste of money. Had to wait at least 45 min before help with no one else waiting. Once helped my manicure was rushed and nails not even filed to shape. The gel polish was applied thick and sloppy. This used to be my go to hidden gem for eyelash extentions until now! Ive been coming here for 2 years faithfully and would make the long 30 minute trip for my eyelash extentions. Unfortunately on my most recent attempt to call and make an appointment for a fill in a random man tells me "sorry Tracy gone to vietnam for a month and I dont know when she will be back" -__- no one else does extentions here!! I called back after 3 weeks only to be told TRACY bought a shop in ARIZONA and wont be coming back to work there!!!! i've been to just about every nail salon in and around antioch and i actually have to laugh at myself for this one because i knew better, yet i still did it because i was pressed for time and really... stinkin... impatient! i should've also kindly taken the hint when the girl working on my fill drilled my hand 3 or more times on the first hand. had to ask for someone else which seemed promising. unfortunately, i had a broken nail and it was repaired (great!) but as a completely different shape (not so great!) by the second girl. $28... The facility is very nice now, love the remodel and upscale design. However, the prices do not reflect the quality of service. My daughter and I chose the Nu Skin pedicure and the Honey Oatmeal pedicure, which is an upgrade, with gel polish. The cost was $100 per pedicure. I don't mind paying the higher price but I would expect the massage would be significantly longer and the pedicure itself would feel a bit more luxurious. The pedicure was a wham bam thank you ma'am basic pedicure with a mimosa. If your going to go stick to the signature pedicure or if doing gel do the basic gel pedi yes. read more

I got tired of several local pedicure places who complain about having to scrub heels or can not be bothered to shape problem nails correctly! I always ended up going to a tried and true place in San Francisco. Hurray - I don't have to shlep to the City for a pedicure! Tracey? (sp) did a wonderful job - cleaned my skin around each nail with surgical precision! Sorry about the gorey details - but not everyone has young and pretty feet In fact, feet get funky with age. Went here today to go get a pedi/mani and did not have a good experience at all. First off the people in here are not friendly at all. No conversation at all! The pedicure did not include a foot massage which obviously it should and then my manicure was horrible; no skin around the nails removed, and I went in there with a gel mani and when the gel was half way removed, she tried to paint over the sloppy gel removal job which you can see the lil spots of gel under the paint. I was not satisfied so I told the owner and he just looked at me...I wanted them to fix the mani but was short on time so I plan on going in tomorrow to have someone else fix my mani. This was my first and last time here. If you are into good quality DO NOT GO here by any means!! The woman who was getting a pedi next to me also complained about the pedi she received. I decided to cross my fingers and head to VK Nails because it has so many good Yelp reviews. I am so glad that I did! Tracy did my Gel Manicure, Pedicure, and Eyebrow Wax and she was wonderful. The prices are great and the Pedicure comes with a paraffin wax and hot stone massage! They had a flat screen TV that they use to play movies to keep guests entertained- today's pick was "The Women". First time I came in was with my sister. She always brags about this place so I decided to go with her. First impression: the place needed work! But we were greeted by a gentleman who was also doing nails. Very friendly staff. I had vivianne. I'm glad I met her cause she does an amazing job! She really takes her time. I started way before my sister did and finished after. She's very meticulous and pays attention to detail. She's also really quiet which I can appreciate.
