My nails has always had a bad reputation from back in the day when ppl used to get feet fungus from their pedicures, but I thought I would give them another try since I haven't been here in years and was in the area. BIG MISTAKE. I got a gel manicure on Friday and by the evening it was already peeling, half of my nails the sides were lifting and chipping! I was also in a rush so I did not realize how bumpy my nails were until I saw them in the sun. I could not return until Monday and I was told that I had to get my nails fixed right then and there or come back and pay $20. I was on my lunch break and couldn't get my nails fixed so I declined and they declined to fix it later. I will NEVER return, no one knows how to do nails here and they should be put out of business based on other reviews. Mary did my nails and I could tell she was rushing but most nail shops know how to do quality work quickly, not her! There are so many other good nail shops in Antioch! The look of the place is ok and spacious. I took my daughter here for a French tip pedicure, she texted me while there to let me know the did a horrible job. The guy doing her pedi was rude and told her he didn't want to do the color she chose because it was too light so he chose a nude with an orange under tone and even after she said no she didn't like it numerous times he continued. The pedicure itself was not done well and it was messy. The only real positive was the polite and nice older gentlemen at the front desk. Kayla is great for pedicures and any of the men are awesome on your nails. My biggest issue with this place is the polish. I always get white but my white always turn colors before the week is out. I went in as a walk in and asked if they had time for a manicure with dip nails. I didn't want gel or acrylic, I wanted dip. The man at the front said they had time and said it'd be $45. He sent me over to Tina. She was very pushy and didn't give me what I wanted. I told her several times I wanted dip nails and she kept ensuring me that she's giving me dip as I'm watching her give me acrylic. I'm 7 months pregnant with twins and very much non confrontational. I didn't want to stress out by continuing to argue with her. I told her I wanted a specific color and she told me no, that what she was going to do was much better. After being in her chair for 20 minutes, she charged me $55 and pressured me to give her a tip. After I said okay, $5 tip she said "$10?" And I said no, "$5". I paid, walked out to my car and then cried lol. I decided to come back in because she cut my finger and I knew I didn't get what I asked for. The man at the front called her over and basically told me he can only give me $5 back. They took a picture of where they cut me and said they'd talk to the manager. I'm hoping to call and see if he's there today but this is unacceptable. I just wanted to feel pretty in my pregnancy. They gaslit me SO BAD. I honestly went home and googled dip vs acrylic even though I KNEW I got acrylic. And I even asked one of the other nail stylists "don't they have to dip your finger for dip nails? I'm sorry I really wanted to like this place. The customer service is ok. I got my nails done by TINA. I had a 2 week outside fill. She works too fast, her drill is set too high, work is very shotty as far as technique and actual care for your nails.. It hasn't even been a full week and almost ALL of my nails are popping off due to the fact she flooded my bases with acrylic. I will need a removal and a full set. She finished so fast I didn't even analyze how actually unhappy I was with my nails (she ended up Fixing the ugliest one) until I was sat for my pedicure. Pedicure was mid also. Gentlemen had attitude and it looks like my 8 year old did my pedicure, also not applied properly and chipping after not even 1 week. I wouldn't reccomend this shop to anyone honestly lol read more

Highly don't recommend getting a service from Sol! Tried to tell me the reason my foot is bleeding is because of skin? No shit I have skin it's not supposed to be bleeding if she knew what she was supposed be doing. I've never had an issue getting a pedicure before because of "skin" whatever that means. I went for a full set and sat with Tina. She put my set on in record time! She didn't file my nails at all! They looked ok when I left but after a week they started to lift at my cuticles because the acrylic laid right into my cuticle and had no shape to it. My nails started popping off after a week. If she's new she needs more training. I paid $100 to have nails for a week!! I use to come here all the time but no more! $100 is a lot of money to spend for crappy work! As he was starting i was asking him to fix some things i noticed i did not like, every time he cut me off & said he "got me" but changed nothing! I went in to get my face waxed, like always. I go in every three weeks. The lady that did my wax this last time was not the one I normally use, but since it's nothing too crazy, just removing hair, I figure all of these ladies can do the job. I was wrong. I don't remember her name, but she literally got wax in my actual hair and instead of saying anything to me, she grabs scissors and cuts my hair off. She only removed about maybe 60% of the hairs in the areas I paid for, and that's being generous. Then I go to the front to pay, and they charge me 7$ more than I always pay. I've been going here for years, for at least the last 15-20 and I've never had any issue till today. Never in my life had I had a lady make me bleed while removing an ingrown but she also butchered my toe nails. I believe she did this intentionally as well. I broke most of my toe nails and it took me three months to grow them out and she cut them all down to the base as if they had never grown! Who ever wants nails like that??? After catching her she did the other foot correctly but my left toes now look ridiculous. She cut them so short that I have basically no nail on the pink toe now. What's worse is that I still paid full price and tipped her. You can literally see the impression on the skin where the nails should be!!! Sad to say I'm done with that place!!! I came in at 1:05pm to get some lashes. The lady at the front desk stated it'll be 15 min. I waited 30 min and she told me they were busy. I was fine with that, I know sometimes people run behind. The lash tech finally came over. I wanted to ask her a question. I ask her how long has she been doing lashes. She became upset a very unprofessionally rush to the front to tell the man and women what I ask her. She was raising her voice for no reason. The others told her to be quiet. She then proceeded to raise her voice to me and storm off. I spoke with listen/ whisper in hope that would somehow calm her down. I was in shock at this type of behavior coming from this nail salon in our community. If I could have rated this place 0 I would have. No one deserves this type of customer service. I was just asking a question. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to no one, lord forbid you ask a question that rub them the wrong way they'll either refuse to service you or probably do a jack up job. I hate the smell of the nail chemicals I have to endure, but the hair cut is worth it. There's only one person who does hair but I've forgotten her name. This was a late birthday gift. I came in and requested a full set and deluxe pedicure. I was seated within 3 minutes and Alex started within 5 minutes. He was so nice and caring. I appreciated he gave me something to cover myself because I was wearing a dress. He was so gentle yet detailed with everything. He never rush me to make any decisions or through the service. It was such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Then Tina did my nails. She was also gentle and kind, every step she took she asked my opinion on her work. The application was flawless and I asked her to freestyle the simple design details. Each nail she did it and made sure I liked the design. I came in for a soak off and a mani.. the lady was trying to pop off my nails with an acrylic nail and I said no can you guys just do a soak off? she said it takes too long so I did not want to move forward until she said ok we can soak off. She did not want to let me see, she was trying to put it in acetone, and she wanted to put "something that will help" on my nails (later found out she put nail glue on my nails with blood) I'm sure it wasn't cleaned. I have gone to them probably 3 times in the last 2 months. The last couple of times everything has been pretty decent. Not much to complain about. But today was something different. I came in for a fill for nails originally done by Vikki, an older lady who is very personable & experienced. They gave me to a woman named Tina, who just didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She talked me into getting a pedicure as well, but then got angry when the receptionist was going to give me to another pedicurist. I asked her to give me a nude powder with a classic French tips, and to replace two of my nails that were popped off. She gave me a pink powder, and then proceeded to fix the popped off nails. At first they came out oddly shaped and when doing the French nail paint came out sloppy and uneven. I asked her to re do it twice, but then kind of gave up, when it seemed like she just didn't understand what I was trying to say to her. I went to go get my pedicure done by Mary, who did my classic French tip style with gel very well, no complaints for her. But was so distraught about my nails that we're not up to my expectations at all, I decided that I should complain to the manager. After complaining to him he started examining and trying to get the excess paint off my fingers. Then decided the best thing to do was to have Tina go back and try to fix them. Tina reshaped the two popped off nails that were completely wrong and tried to fix some of the wack paint job for the nails that were in dire need. After about 3 times of trying to get her to understand what I needed to be done, I just gave up. She said sorry a bunch of times, and I said sorry for complaining but I needed to get my moneys worth. All in all hands 2/5 feet 4/5. Just don't go to Tina guys. At least for a nice French tip read more

I arrived with my friend on Monday 11/18 @ 3:30. The one lady who's table was next to my friend did not do the dip powder manicure so I had to wait for this gentleman whom I feel they called "Ed" so that's what we're going with. I sat at Ed's table toward the back of the shop, on the right side. Ed kept mentioning that he wanted to add tips to my nails (even though my nails were a fine length and I never keep them super long to begin with) I got my nails a crimson color with the ring finger nail a different sparkly pink color. A few times Ed apologized to me because he didn't paint the clear primer or polish on enough so had to go back. I notice on a few of my nails after the powder and polish dried that there were lumps and undone spots. Also, some of the sparkly powder transferred to my dark nails making them sparkly (which I'm not really upset about) Again Ed mentions that he wants to add tips my nails. I get it Ed, thanks. Once the nails are "finished" he puts me in one of those UV ovens which is really hot. And then I'm done. I get charged $45 while my friend payed 40 just because I got two nails different colors. And then because I didn't want to be viewed a certain way (as a person of color) I gave him a $7 tip. It has been less than a week and my nails are chipping already. I know I won't be back A) Because it's too stinkin expensive and B) Back in New York, I had the same thing done plus a regular PEDICURE for $35! And my manicure lasted a whole month! I went to My Niall's and spa two days ago 5/16/22, my pedicurist was amazing very friendly I forget her name. I was getting ready for a vacation in two days. But the manicurist Tina was also nice the problem is I asked her for a specific design she even did a free styled on my two middle nails. But the problem is when I went home later in the evening I realized my paint had came off the tip of my thumb nail. I was shocked because I hadn't been using chemicals or anything like it. Then later on I noticed the other thumb had vanished! I was like what the hell? So the following day I called the salon and asked if I can come in and see Tina again to see if she can fix the issue. They told me I could. So when I came in after work they told me Tina was gone and waited for me but left, I stated well I never said what time I was coming or who I was I just said I need my nails to get fixed from coming in yesterday. The manager at the desk was real nasty and rude. He asked me to find the color so he can paint over it but I didn't want polish on, my nails were airbrushed. So one manicurist came over and my cousin explained to her what happened so she said she would help. To make a long story short the lady serviced me but the color was off, smh and lo and behold the color chipped off again today which is 5/18/22! I'm like wtf!!!!! Oh and I forgot the manager wanted to charge me AGAIN, after spending $130 at their salon. All I got was a pedi and full set.
