Walked in because they had availability and their reviews were decent. I was there to get a regular pedicure. The price is $48 per regular pedicure ( not gel) and $5 for takeoff. So a basic pedi was $53 without tip. So with tip you're looking at close to $60. For polish. Honestly, for that price you can get gel and probably a tip included at other salons. Their prices are $13 - 20 higher than other comparable salons, I don't mind paying extra for a specialty/ premium pedi but this is not the case . I'm not sure what justifies this high price, but I will not be coming back. *edit after business response : high sanitation practices should be standard and not considered a luxury. I needed to get a soak off asap and was doing some research to find a great nail place since my boyfriend lives nearby. I'm so happy to have chosen this salon because I'm obsessed with my nails! I chose a very simple, natural color to have every day and Sophia delivered. She was very careful with the nail drill and when I expressed that it felt hot at one point, she was more cautious afterwards. Cuticle removal was also meticulous and not once was I cut. The gel polish was applied evenly and there were no bubbles or unevenness which I appreciate--being picky with my nails. The salon itself was very clean and spacious, with many spa chairs for pedicures and manicure tables. I paid a total of $51 ($40 for gel mani, $10 soak off--with service, and $6 tip but 10% off when you pay cash) which is quite reasonable compared to other places anywhere in the bay. I will definitely be rebooking with Sophia and recommend her to anyone just looking for a great gel mani. read more

I have been coming to Nail Fever for a year now specifically going to see Emily and when I first came, I was taking a risk but I wanted fun birthday nails with kind of a crazy design and when I tell you Emily ate that up and has continued to eat it up every time!! I've been going consistently to Emily once a month for a year and every design I've come with she's done with no flaws. She's never complained about a design. She always thanks me for challenging her which is exactly what you want in a nail tech :) every time I leave obsessed and she always fits me in no matter what. Would not recommend! Came in for a pedicure the lady was extremely rough and cut my toe to where they were bleeding. I asked her if it was ok to continue with my toe bleeding like that seemed unsanitary to me but she is the professional not me she said I would be fine. Now the next day my toe is red and pus is coming out. She cuticles way too much to where she took my skin off. I used to come here every month for a full set of acrylic hands and they did amazing jobs! I ended up working in healthcare so unfortunately i had to stop getting them but I ended up coming back for a full set of acrylic toes which i never have done before. Had no clue what to expect but Angel took care of everything for me from choosing the correct shades to making sure they were perfect while continuously asking if i was happy with them. I came in taking my mother in law for her b day, we both got our nails done but couldn't sit next to each other ... which was already weird. I asked but they couldn't accommodate... The inso pic compared to what I got.... Omg ... I was so upset, I asked for flowers and she Drew them ... and I immediately asked her to take it off I asked her where the gold was and she said this was the colors I chose... I decided to give this place a try, and I'm so glad I did! Emily was wonderful--she helped me schedule my appointment and was super accommodating when I needed to make a last-minute change. I was seen right on time, which I really appreciated. Tyler did my nails and was both professional and efficient. He did a great job on my manicure, and I was happy with the results. The salon was very clean, and I noticed all the tools used looked sanitized and well-maintained. I also really liked the calm and peaceful atmosphere--it was such a nice change from some of the busier, noisier salons I've been to in the past. Let me tell y'all, I've been getting my nails done for 15 plus years and I know when someone can and can't do nails. When I find someone good, I stick with them...however, my nail recently broke after I was 2 days fresh of a new fill. I had an event to go to and didn't want to go to my regular shop in Discovery Bay. Nail Fever is closer to me. My short experience was that they weren't overly friendly, but very standoffish and seemed like they were irritated I wanted my ONE nail fixed. Angel repaired my nail and I could already agree that she knows the craft, but she also had both sides of my nail have open flesh from digging with the nail file too hard. I can definitely say she is on the rough side and I honestly wasn't feeling her personality being that I was a new customer which could have turned into a customer for life. After reading some of the reviews I decided to go in for a mani and pedi. The service was excellent. Everyone seemed very friendly and nice. My feet and nails look great and I feel amazing. Thao did my feet and she did an awesome job. The nail tech I went to before did an awful job, I felt like I just had my feet washed which I could have done myself. My manicure was done by Anna and she too did a great job. I didn't feel like I was being rushed and both ladies took their time making sure I received what I wanted. I wanted to give this place a try because I can't find a good place in Brentwood. So happy I found this little gem. Not a place you go to if you want your nails done fast but they make up for it in quality. I'm so used to having my nails and toes done at the same time but I like how they separate it. They are very clean and meticulous. I can only vouch for Emily, Tyler and Thao... I haven't been with anyone else yet. But looking around I can tell some are very talented. I've been going Nail Fever, primarily Emily, for about 3 years. She always does an amazing job. Nails last forever! Meaning no lifting, it may have happened twice, but I think she was changing brands, besides that never had issues with the nail work done. Nails definitely get a 5 stars! Pedicure, only had it done once there. Maybe one of my first few visits. I did get the basic. That's my go to when trying out a new place. I never made a review about it because honestly I felt indifferent about it. Not impressed, but not disappointed. My daughter had also gone, she wanted to get crystals on her toes, I wasn't with her, but I was paying for it, and she kept texting me sending me pictures, came out a little messy. The main reason for my 3 star is basically for the service itself. When you enter the salon, are you being acknowledged, when you book appointments, when you ask for certain modifications or add ons, or simply saying anything... Back to the service. Sometimes I don't know which Emily I'm going to get. Sometimes she's very nice, pleasant and other times she has a vibe that's very cold and unpleasant. Just as others have said in their reviews, and I always just chalk it up since I knew my nails would come out exactly how I like every time. The last straw. I called to make an appointment like I always do, and it was as if she was clueless to who I was, a bit abrupt on the phone. She let me know she didn't have availability. But she's done this before only to call me and say she made a mistake. This may be minor to some, but this is 3 years of sometimes great customer service & sometimes not so pleasant customer service. It started out very positive. The person I was recommended to booked my appointment for same day. Sounds good. She said I was her last customer. Okay. I arrived 10 minutes early so she wasn't waiting or wondering if I was coming because I was a new customer. Then when I get there she was busy supposedly finishing up another person. Said it would be 15 more minutes. I was 10 minutes early so no problem. I sat there in the hot sun in their waiting area for 20 minutes plus the ten minutes I was early for a total of 30 minutes. That means the client ahead of me had to have been seated not long before my appointment. They offered to seat me with someone else. Um, no I specifically choose the person I booked with because she was recommended and I was hoping to find a nail technician I liked & could develop a good rapport wirh. I didn't want to have my first visit be a pass off to someone else. Then as the current client appeared to have no foreseeable end in sight I just walked over & said I'll reschedule another time. She and another technician standing by her both just looked at me. No attempt to apologize for leaving me sitting for half hour, no attempt to reschedule me as soon as possible, no offer of a discount if I'd reschedule & come back. It left me feeling like they didn't really want to do my fill at all. Just say so when I show up. I had offered a photo of exactly what I wanted done which they declined. I was going to send it so they would know what I wanted to help them schedule the appointment knowing how long it might take. I felt like they don't need new clients and like I wasn't valued as a new client. It was hurtful, irritating and a waste of my time. Very unprofessional and disappointing. Why book me if you don't actually have the time & are just going to push me off on someone else. I specifically asked for the person I booked with. Most distressing was the excellent reviews made me so hopeful of finding a shop I could develop a relationship with for the long run. Obviously not going to happen. read more

So let me say that a nail shop is only as good as your individual nail technician. That said the spa is typical but clean with good equipment and a fair amount of technicians. They carry a very varied supply of colors and textures for your nails. My personal technician is Emily (fills/full set) and Tao (pedicures). The service is good and both are attentive and take instruction well on what you want your nails to look like. Emily is great with a structurally sound nail foundation that doesn't cause a lot of nail breaking in between services and the shapes are detailed and clean. Tao does a great massage and my pedicure looks amazing for days. Bottom line I love this place so much I travel over and hour once a month for my nail appointment. Get into it!!! read more

I've been coming here on and off for the past 4 years! Way before the renovations, I don't know why they think it's ok to treat paying customers like anything! I stopped coming about 2 years ago when a full set and gel manicure took 3 + hours like I kid you not! Then today I decided to try them again and a simple gel manicure and pedi took 1.5 hours and I was being worked on at the same time all to give them $85 of my hard earned dollars! So I've been coming here since before the remodel ,Like almost a decade . At first I had no issues , love this place . Unfortunately I'm looking for a new salon . Little things like my nails not coming out right and I'm being told come back for a fill then it'll be fixed . I show pictures and still mistakes show on my nails . I'm also getting charged $65 for a fill when it's supposed to be $45 . I'm not adding or changing anything. When I don't leave a tip the energy will shift . Why would I leave a tip when my nails aren't looking right , after I asked you to fix your mistake more than once ? The pedicures aren't coming out right , a bit uneven . Some understand English . Others don't . It's hard to get what you want here without repeating yourself 10x. A nail tech here tried to give me a design she wanted . Not what I asked for . She said my nails would look better and then got an attitude when I said no . My skin on my toe was pulled off by "accident" and it was a big chunk . They thought it was a nail even after I asked for the lady to stop . She ignored me and pulled my skin off the side of my big toe thinking it was a hang nail . All that was done was ? nothing. Nothing but alcohol spray on open flesh then oil . I had to stop letting them touch my feet after that . It's took over a month for my toe to heal. Bookings are being mixed up. Come on time , but no chair will be ready . You'll have to wait . Due to miscommunication of the service. Tyler also checks his phone constantly and is always in a rush . Not sure why . He is texting a lot and messing up your nails at the same time. I understand they're dealing with people all day seeing feet and hands . I know their hands, backs and feet hurt . But if you can't do the work because no one is rotating ppl out , and making sure they speak English then thats the problem . But . Because I tried to stick it out time after time . I will not be over charged for a fill . That was my last straw . California is already expensive enough . read more

It has been over 2 years since I've gone here so I decided to see if anything has changed. Unfortunately, things have not changed I was a walk-in customer. I asked for a gel pedicure and gel manicure (French tip) My feet were soaked in the water less than 5 minutes and she started my pedicure. I feel like my feet didn't soak long enough. She asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted but I wasn't handed a menu or anything so I just said basic pedicure. During my pedicure she cut me pretty good with the cuticle remover and she used her bare finger to wipe the blood off. Definitely lack of infection control & prevention. Don't recommend. read more

1 star because they were able to take me last minute. I called to ask about availability, made a same day appointment. (Over the phone they stated they are running a 10% off promotion if you pay with cash) The gel manicure is where things went downhill... She started the manicure at the pedicure chair without laying down a towel on my lap which is the norm at every nail salon. I had nail dust all over my leggings. The manicurist did an awful job cutting my cuticles. Not once did she use any cuticle softener. It was dry and painful. At one point she made a finger bleed. The color did not match their sample, I pointed that out to the nail tech and she was just nonchalant about it. Went to go pay for them to tell me they only accept debit cards or Zelle?? No one mentioned this on the phone. Why even have a card processing system if you don't accept credit cards. Also, none of the nail technicians had their Manicurist/Cosmetologist license on display. read more

So it's time for an updated review. My last review was over 7 years ago. It definitely not the same Nail Fever from my first review. They have updated there space and they have different workers there now. With that being said. I will not be leaving a 1 star only for the fact that the girl who did my acrylic toes and the man who fixed my nails today both did amazing jobs. However the reason why they lost 2 stars. One the price. Two the customer service of the lady who did my nails last week. First I normally do press on now and days but it was my birthday and I decided I would get my nails done since I already got my acrylic toes the week before. I show the lady a picture of the nails I wanted and the first time she said was "oooh that going to be very expensive" if I care about the price I would of asked how much it cost but I didn't because I'm one of those people that typically doesn't care about how much a service cost me because it's providing me a convenience. So she proceeds to do my nails and I notice they are a little thin but who care I had already been in the chair about a hour and half so I'm ready to go. The gems on my nails didn't even last long. They was popping off left and right. But i don't have time to go back or call I'm leaving out of town. Those nails including tip cost me $150. That's fine thank you for taking the time to my nails. My right thumb broke in 2 on Monday and my right ring broke Wednesday(today) while I was opening my cloth drawers . I called to make a fix appt and a fill because in order to fix the issue with the nails being thin they would have to take off the design and pretty much do a fill anyway. I did request that the woman who did my nails last time not do them this time my request was granted. The guy who did my nails he made them thicker so they weren't so thin as before and he shaped them really nice but that cost me including tip $75 dollars. So in less than a week span I spent $225 on my nails. So I don't know if I will be returning. I think I'm going to have to start dating nail salons again or going back to doing my own nails. read more

I got a pedicure from Thao, it was the most relaxing thing, I loved the ambiance of the salon, very clean and comfortable. She took her time with me, even though walks in came she didn't rush my time, which made me appreciate her even more.
