The more important thing to me is the foot and nail care involved, and the massage. I've been to Bella Nails & Spa 6-7 times now and I am pleased with the pedicure services. Almost all the technicians give a great foot massage and they're fastidious about foot care. Bella Nail is literally around the corner from our house and I've came here multiple times trying to give them more than a second chance. I cannot go here anymore. Especially because I've spent a lot of $ and time just for my nails to look as if they didn't take their time. Last time I got a pedicure and gel color change on my hands. The pedicure seemed rushed and often interrupted. I got a skin abrasion on my right foot due to the lady scrubbing towards the back of my heel with the pumice. Then when I got home and looked at my toes, you can tell where she missed a few layers and just globs everywhere on my toenails. This was $35 for a regular pedicure. read more

This shop is SO hit and miss. I've gone three times. The first time I left with really thick dipped nails. But was pleased with the customer service. I was really pleased that they used a soft electric file that doesn't take off a layer of your own natural nail or burn you like the other places that use the wrong grade of file. I figured I would go again and just ask that they not be so thick. The second time I had no issues with the finished product except that the lady acted like she didn't know anything about a soft file but also didn't burn me with the other file head. I'm not really sure what they're called. But when they swap one of the tips of the file for a different one. The third time my pedicure was lackluster. I did not enjoy it at all. It was so rushed and no one was even waiting to be serviced. My cuticles were picked raw. You can see in the photo that it is red. And she suddenly rushed to put my shoe on and I was surprised because I didn't think she was finished. I didn't get a massage or hot towel. Well I got home and realized why she rushed me out. The polish on my toe was wrinkled! Ugh! Why not just fix it instead of rushing me out the door? And to think I gave her my customary $10 tip. I won't be going back. read more

I am torn about this salon. I'm new to the area and have been looking for my new go-to nail salon. I've been here 3 times since it has one of the better ratings on Yelp. I called to make an appointment for each of my visits, but each time I find myself waiting anywhere from 15-35 minutes to get my nails started. -1 star for not being able to be in and out within a reasonable time frame. If you aren't on a schedule though, this shouldn't bother you! The owner, Anna, is an absolute sweetheart. She takes the time to get to your name, she double checks that the polish on your nails is exactly what you want before proceeding to pain the rest of your hand/foot. All the things I have to rave about this place is because of her. I've been worked on by 3 other technicians who were not terrible, but they weren't amazing in my opinion. And for the prices I pay, I would just want a better more timely level of service. If you do have a pretty flexible agenda and are willing to book with just Anna, I would give this place 4 stars! Otherwise, I am still on the hunt for my go-to place. read more

Loved the pedicure so I decided to give them another chance with getting my nails done. Big mistake it took forever to finish and once my nails were done it looked like a child had done them. They left my nails thick, rigid, uneven, and poorly painted. And worst of all they forced me to pay them a 20% tip that they definitely did not deserve. I came to Bella to have them fix the huge mistake the other salon made and they did a damn amazing job. This man and this salon deserve the 20% tip far more than other salon. I live down the street & came for a removal of an acrylic set and instead of a soak off I got my nails ripped off. It hurt a lot so after 2 nails I tried to say I don't really want to do this maybe I can pay you and come back tomorrow but she insisted she finished. But there must of been something going on with another client because her and the other nail tech were trying to understand what she wanted and then after were clearly just arguing and saying a bunch of stuff in their language. By the tone of their voices it wasn't good. Just made things feel very uncomfortable to be in. She was nice to us (my 5 year old was getting her nails done too) so I gave her a $20 tip for being nice and helpful and she didn't even say thank you. My daughter kept trying to say thank you as we left but the lady was back to talking crap and wouldn't even listen or give us a nice greeting goodbye. Pricing is so inconsistent here it's ridiculous. I usually go to my regular places in Alameda or Walnut Creek because I work in SF, I would go right after work. This place is right down the street from my house and I wasn't commuting to the city for about 6 months..so I decided to check them out the end of last year. The first couple times, they did my nails fine. Not great but fine. Finally, I got Angela, she did a full set for me and she was great! She took her time and made them perfect. I had her do a fill the next time. Once again, great. I also had Tina once or twice and she was great as well. I decided to call the next time and see when she was working. The guy basically gave me the run around and said "I don't know when she works next". Wth? I wanted to know her usual work days so I can come to see her and he never gave me a clear answer. Annoying. I came in randomly, she wasn't there. I believe her name is Anna who did my fill and she did a horrible job! I wanted them to be coffin, and she barely filed them to be coffin and they were so bulky! I was always charged $35 for a fill and Anna charged me $45! Prices shouldn't change depending on who's doing your nails! Because she's the owner she gets to charge me more?! After that, I decided to not see them anymore. When I went back to my usual place, he even asked me where I had been right before because they looked so bad! Consistency is key people! They are definitely not consistent, with their work and pricing. read more

07/28/2018: First, I live across the street, and thought to check Yelp for nail salon because I'm lazy to drive to Concord. I drove by to see if they can accomodate me because I don't have an appointment. I need a Gel Manicure and Regular Pedicure. The nice lady in front desk told me that they can only do pedicure for me due to no available for manicure so I said it's okay. But after a minute, she said they can do manicure and pedicure for me. So I was happy and excited. The lady who did my pedicure was good, but I feel like I'm not welcome to their salon. Well, it was my first time here, I usually go to Concord. For my Gel Manicure, I waited for almost 1 hr. But she did great. She took her time and made sure my nails will look great. My friend and I arrived for our 6:30pm appointment this past Friday and ended up waiting for about 30-40 minutes for a technician to take care of us. While it was frustrating to wait for so long beyond our scheduled time, our nails ended up looking pretty fantastic, and the ladies who worked on us did a great job. I got exactly what I wanted, and I felt like a mermaid by the end, with my sparkly turquoise toes. I was even surprised that the pedicure technician used hot stones (a really nice touch) and took care of my very dry, tired heels by making them look healthy again! After I asked twice, she just tossed the book aside as if to say "never-mind" or "forget it". Then she proceeded to clip my nails with a flat clippers. When she got to my middle finger, she clipped so hard in the center of my nail that I had to pull it away. She got up and left the table. Finally Anna came over to do my nails. Anna was good. They took their time with my nails and really listened to me and were very accommodating. The price can get crazy but it's worth the money, if your serious about your nails.
