My experience was horrible when I walked in the door. I asked if I could get a basic old school pedicure. I did not want to buy all of the foot soaks hot waxes. I just wanted my feet scrubbed really good. When I left out, I still a lot of dead skin on my feet and even after complaining Sofia said that it was the best that could be done. It was horrible and I would not recommend. read more

It breaks my heart to do this review. I've been a loyal customer since this place opened and in fact i was the one who established their Yelp page. Today i was really upset. After getting my gel pedicure, i received a 5 second not even foot massage. I literally looked at the guy and felt as if he thought i was stupid. When i went to pay i brought it to the owners attention. Hopefully they can train their employee to not do this again read more

I am writing this because it needs to be said. My experience at Forum nails, initially, was not the best. It wasn't bad it just wasn't the best until I sat in Van's chair! She was very kind and attentive. She spoke to me not just as a customer but as a fellow human being. I've been seeing her for quite some time now and she has become more like a sister! Her work matches her heart, pure and flawless. You will get nothing but positive energy and great nails when you see Van at Forum Nail Salon. Book with her today! Positive energy only!!! read more

Forum Nails is an eight month old/young nail salon in Pittsburg/Antioch. They're located near the mall, in the same plaza as double dragon chinese restaurant. I learned of this nail salon via word of mouth. My cousin and aunt boasted about the clean environment and quality service. I made a 5 o'clock appointment for a friend and myself. I was a little late, I arrived by 5:07 pm. The salon was quite busy, so I was patient and waited. I did tell David (the nail tech by the door) that I had an appointment. Over 20 minutes went by and no one had checked in with me. My friend arrived late, but it didn't matter because our appointment was not being honored and we were having to wait anyway. At 5:45ish ~ we were finally being helped. I needed to have my gel removed and redone but based off the service I was receiving, I opted to simply remove the gel. This service is $10 and they don't even clean up your nails. Another major problem we encountered was communication. Hardly anyone here spoke fluent English, making it extremely difficult to get the correct service! My friend requested to have her gel removed from her feet. She wanted a color change with gel polish. The girl who did her pedicure didn't understand English and her colleagues failed to translate. My friend almost overpaid, then as we went to leave her nail polish was smudged! Leading her to inquire about what polish was actually on her toes. After solving this confusing mystery, we had to wait an additional fifteen minutes for them to DO IT RIGHT the second time. As for my pedicure, my nail was smudged in second. The colored nails they have you choose from do not match the actual color they bring over. It's utter madness. I arrived at this salon at 5:07 and didn't leave until 7pm. I missed the Warriors game, because despite there being multiple televisions at this salon no one knows how to change the channel! I'm so upset that I had my friend waste her time and have such a negative experience. I spent $25 for a pedicure that was not relaxing, timely, and the nail polish wasn't even what I wanted. Then I paid $10 to remove gel, only to come home and cut, file, and finish the job myself. It's so hard to find quality nail service in Antioch or Pittsburg. Leaving me with no choice but to invest in small business in Walnut Creek and Danville. I am truly disappointed with my visit to Forum nails. I won't be back and I would NOT recommend them. read more

Rarely do I run to YELP after a first visit, but I totally have to share .... In need of a mani/pedi and not wanting to go to my usual spot (never consistently good), I called Forum about an hour and a half before closing to see if they could get me in for a quick mani/pedi. The person on the phone told me to come at 7 PM. Wait, you want me to come at closing time?! YES, they were "busy and understaffed" and actually stayed late for me, AND did not rush my mani/pedi at all. Advice: GET THE DELUXE PEDI (they have several) --- I got the olive oil one --- my feet are so freakin' soft, even my man said something! Haha. Totally worth $40 (they have $25 and $30 pedi's too!). read more

I have been coming here about 4 years now, my regular lady moved so I opted to still come here and was recommended to Van. Besides being very professional, personable & extremely following the request for specific colors & design, Van will fit you into her schedule at what is convenient for you, not herself. Prime example was today, I caught her on her way out of work with an appointment in Oakland she had about her new car, she said "I will re-schedule, please come in & I will wait for you" Her mannerism as well as her artistic ways are very noteworthy. Van does the Gel nails & any kind of design you show her, Van can do it. Last summer Van did 3-D Hawaiian Flowers on my nails, absolutely gorgeous and many compliments, but today I asked for something very Pink n Pretty Van delivered!! My nails last 5-6 weeks & do not pop off or hurt. I'm giving Van a 5 star review, because she rocks!! Last year I moved out of Antioch & I will continue doing the hour commute to have Van at Forum Nails do my nails read more

I came here with a friend bc this is her spot, and her nails are always poppin. Her regular nail tech is Sofia who already has two people ahead of us so we settled for the avail techs. Now idk the name of the lady I got but she told me after gluing on the extension nail that she doesn't do acrylics. And that I had to wait for the guy who does. So I waited. But he also already has clients so she came back to finish me. They didn't come out horrible but I have gotten better from elsewhere. The shape I wanted was coffin and only after I got them did I realize the shape was a lil wonky. My nail broke five days later and the rest are already lifting read more

Worst Nail experience I ever had. Today I experienced nothing but disrespect on top of being cut twice & then yelled at. I only suggest getting your nails done by Sophia or Tom. I had to keep repeating myself to a lady named Jen and no other employee helped to translate after I asked multiple times for someone to help her understand I only wanted powder & not polish. Then as I was speaking with the guy who was doing my toes another woman yelled at me as if I was speaking to her I believe her name is Chen. I have been coming here for almost 2 years & I never had a problem with anyone here. I will only come here to get my nails done by Sophia or I will go somewhere else. read more

I'm new to the area & This was my first time coming here so I Called in to make an appointment, arrived a few minutes early & still waited a good 20 minutes until the lady was ready. The lady was extremely rude & rushing. Kept yanking my hand because it apparently wasn't accessible to her. Cut me 3 times & although it was small because my anemia my finger actually wouldn't stop bleeding so she got mad & said she can't continue if I don't stop, how is that my fault? She didn't take the time to file them & The nails came out chunky/lumpy. A terrible job at painting them & lastly yelled at me for not having cash! She should've stated if it was cash only on the phone when I made my appointment. This place is absolutely trash! read more

I'm disappointed too write this review bc I've been a loyal customer since they opened however, I have a few complaints. First, I asked for a gel manicure with my own nails and all Sophia (THE OWNER) did was cut & file my nails and then painted them, she didn't even both to cut my cuticles or give me a clean look. Along that, the gel polish was so clumpy and just really ugly sadly. Literally zero finesse. Then I got a pedicure a few days later, the lady literally hurt my big toe and then my big toe touched the inside of the gel dryer and the polish got messed up, & all she did was just paint over it....? Sorry but I'm confused. My pedicure didn't even last me one week and I was on vacation. The polish was ruined. Lowkey they are also super rude. Sadly, I've been coming here for a while; won't be here again. Very very disappointed. read more

This use to be my go to nail salon. The last couple years the quality and service has really went down hill. The color usually chips or lifts within a week. The last time I went was the last straw! First & last time. 0 stars. 1st issues was the language barrier (we had an appt for 4 but I was told there was nothing until further help came) 2nd, they only started with 3 of us w/ pedicure but left 1 out! They eventually did hers BUT after we finished ours. 3rd, the worst pedicure experience ever! This older lady w/tattooed eyebrows did not even care to properly do the whole works of a pedicure. No massage. No scrub. No cutting the dead skin througly. Smh. Just my feet soaked in water & straight to painting my nails!!!! Like wth. 4th problem, yes 4th. After me questioning her pedicure, she did an even worst on my manicure. Her hands were shaking & could not paint properly! This is not the job for her!!!!! read more

This is my happy getaway from the day-to-day grind! I love coming here for my mani/pedis. They always do an amazing job here and are so friendly! They welcome you when you enter and wish you a good day/night when you leave. But what I find very unique is time after time, even if it's close to closing time and if they are still doing your nails, they don't rush at all! They make sure you leave satisfied. I've had the acrylic nails before and they did an awesome job but now I only get gel polish on my real nails. Everyone here is super good but I love how Nhi leaves my nails. She takes her time with the shape you want and asks if you like it to make sure. I don't believe she does pedicures (she's never done mine at least) but my manicures are always on point thanks to her! Highly recommend this place and when you go, ask for Nhi! :) I've attached photos of 2 times Nhi has done my nails ( I didn't take pictures of the other times she's done them) read more

Was in the area and searched around for a new nail salon and came upon Forum Nail & Spa. Don was my nail tech. Pros: clean and sanitary pedicure stations. hot stone and exfoliating scrub included with basic pedicure ($25). Nice, friendly service. Good polish application. Cons: None of the usual nail color brands (ie Opi, Essie, Zoya), but they have a large selection to choose from. Pick your color from their nail swatches. If you're a My Nails customer (and I was for a long time) and tired of the long waits and decline in service, come here! Easy parking, too! Will definitely tell my mom to make the switch. read more

My husband and I went to get a mani/pedi and we were given a price sheet. Mind you, my husband pays very close attention to detail. We both decided to get the deluxe treatment which is above the basic. They did not exfoliate our legs or do the stone massage. When we inquired about the missing treatments they took the menu from us and started to talk in their language. They claimed they had just opened and didn't have time to heat the stones and ran out of exfoliate. WHY OFFER THE SERVICES IF YOU CAN NOT PROVIDE! This is robbery. They had the nerve to be upset when my husband told them he wasn't going to pay full price when we didn't receive a full service. They eventually dropped the price. Never would again!!! Horrible nail shop!!!! Now I know why they take the menus so you won't remember what come is a deluxe pedicure! read more

I did not tip him because I was not completely satisfied, I will come again but I do not tip if I am not satisfied, tips are not mandatory and there was a customer there that looked at me like I was crazy for not leaving a tip lol. Called for an appointment yesterday and today with my favorite manicurist, Jennifer. Instead of being helpful, the Person on phone says Jennifer isn't there. I asked when she would be there. They said "I don't know, I don't know her schedule." Jennifer was always there, so that seemed weird. She then tries to set me up with someone else. I say "no thank you, I'll wait for Jennifer." So then she says, "Well, maybe she doesn't work here anymore!" I drove by and another lady was sitting at her normal station. I'm so sad. She is the best.
