After my regular nail salon was closed, I decided to try this salon as a last-minute option. From the outside, the salon appeared clean and professional, so I was hopeful. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The nail technician was very pushy about what she thought would look best on me instead of listening to what I requested. I normally get a short-to-medium coffin shape because of my job, but she repeatedly insisted that a coffin shape couldn't be done at that length. I've had that shape and length many times before, so this was confusing. I also asked for an ombré design, but the final result looked completely different from what I requested. In hindsight, I should have spoken up, but I was on my way to a wedding and didn't have time to have them redone. The most concerning part was that I developed an infection on my right middle finger afterward. That was extremely disappointing and raises concerns about sanitation practices. Also my nails broke within a few days... Based on my experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this salon. read more

They look like she was blindfolded when she did them. So, she asks her how much, she told her $60, then takes her wallet out & then says actually $70. The place is super cute w/ a floral wall, cute furniture, amazing massage chairs, and fun music to listen to. Found this place through a referral to find the infamous Ken. We made an appointment for two pedis and one fill. This place is next to Mr. Pickle in the Sutter Heath parking lot. The place seems new, super clean. The pedi massage chairs are newer and they had a selection of regular and gel polish. Standard pedi is $30, pedi delux with towel and hot stone $35, and pedis with parafin are avail ++. The best thing about this place is that they take their time. You don't feel rushed. Ken knows what he's doing and does a great job. This was our first time here but we will drive out of our way to come back to see Ken. Finally happy to give a great review on a nail spa. read more

I called ahead to make an appointment since I work across the street from the salon and when I got there, I was the only customer there. It was honestly so relaxing after a long day at work and I was able to have some me time. I had someone working on my toes and someone working on my nails at the same time and the ladies who work here are so kind, welcoming, and really took their time. They were telling me about their grand opening and how they offer 40% off your service until Dec.24 which is such a great offer! You also get a free gift with your service. The customer service is top tier. The decor is so trendy, and they have a tv with a YouTube channel playing some nice music. It was so relaxing. I visited Bluerock Nails today and just wanted to say the staff was nice and friendly. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure. I showed the staff the design I wanted and they did a good job of replicating it. The salon was very clean and well kept. I will definitely would recommend giving them a try. I will be back. FYI they charge 2 dollars more if you pay more than 50 dollars and 1 dollar if less than 50 dollars when paying by card. They recommend you pay in cash especially for tips. Before my review, I need to put a few disclaimers as I myself find them helpful when getting an idea of what kind of services I look for (everyone comes to a business like this with various expectations). First, I'm not into glamming up my nails. The only times I come in are usually for special occasions (girlfriends pampering day or for when I'm going to a wedding). So I go very simple - slightly short square nails with nude-type colors (and on my ring fingers with a shimmery color). Second, I only come to places for either a mani, pedi or both, but not any other extra services (such as lashes, etc), so I can't speak for those. And lastly, I came in during a Monday at noon for my lunch hour and calling ahead, I found out was not busy so I took advantage of not having to wait. Made for a peaceful time without feeling like my service was being rushed. So my overall review is that I had a pleasant experience (mainly because it wasn't busy, and the person who did my nails was friendly and nice to chat with - Tony, I believe) and who took his time with me even towards the end when someone else came in for a filling. I had to have gels removed and he did it pretty quick without damaging my nails and rebuffed and smoothed them out very nicely. I didn't want to replace them with gels and just asked for simple polish so I can just remove them easily before I come back to get gels for Halloween (and yes I'm going to come back here!). Tony gave me exactly what I wanted (which was a simple mani but did it professionally and they looked neat and clean) and his hand/arm massages were on point. Other nail places I've tried weren't that good as Tony's was. And I look forward to those massages at the end of my mani or pedi! The place was nicely decorated and really clean and quaint. For me it was quite peaceful and the plaza area is also nice. Tony turned the tv on to some serene landscape backgrounds with relaxing music so it made a nice touch to my experience. I was searching quite a while on Yelp for places to try but in the essence of time I had to choose a place closest to home and this looked like a nice place so I went with that. It's too bad others didn't have a good experience, though I'm glad I checked it out myself. Didn't add a 5th star just because I only had a simple mani and nothing extra. The 4 stars were for the service and cleanliness/niceness of the business so I'll have to update this review once I get another mani plus pedi in a few weeks. Oh and the price was $23 for mani though I'm not sure if that would have also included gels if I got them. I'm also not sure whether that's a decent price or not but it was doable for me. read more

I wanted to give this place a chance; but aside from the bad work - they are not very clean. The lady grabbed a nail filer / polisher straight from inside a small garbage can behind her - It's unfortunate because though the lady was really sweet it was just not a pleasant experience. In other words - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I had to contact their other shop across the street "Bella Nails Salon" they were able to see me the following day to "fix" my nails but when I arrived the "same lady" from the day before was the one who was going to "fix the work". I requested to be seen by someone else, and I believe the owner got upset. The entire time I was there I felt hostile and as of I lost my voice to speak up in how I wanted my nails. I believe that as a customer, I should be treated fairly especially when I paid for a service. I just know not to come here again unfortunately. read more

It looks nice when you walk in but I have a few complaints . 1) the mani pedi I had took three hours 2) I don't think they sanitize properly I did not see individual wrapped tools and the brushed looked really old 3) the shellack mani I had chipped the day after.
