I don't understand why this place isn't more hyped! This is my new go-to nail salon. The place I used to go to was always packed, and I constantly felt rushed. Here, I leave completely satisfied. Mani and pedi are always great. I see Mina, she is my girl! she makes my nails look so natural and super neat. I came in for a pedicure and gel manicure--services I received within the same week. Unfortunately, my gel manicure began peeling within just a few days, which should not happen with properly applied gel polish. When I returned to have the issue addressed, I was told it would cost $25 to re-polish my nails. I explained that the issue was with the product or application and that I should not be charged for a service that didn't last. After speaking with the owner, the technician said it would be $10 instead--but I was still charged the full $25 on my credit card. This is unacceptable and dishonest. If there's a known issue with the quality of the product being used, it should be addressed, not passed on to the customer. I've been coming to your salon for pedicures for the past three years and have always appreciated the service, but this was the first and last time I will get a manicure here. I got a pedicure here in August. A few days later my foot started to itch. Two days later I had full blown fungal bacterial infection on both feet. I'm not going back!! Been going here for years! Today is officially my last. The recent change of ownership came with higher pricing and not so great service. Higher pricing - $85 for a deluxe pedicure and $35 for a regular manicure. What?!? The tech that did my pedicure pointed to a $70 deluxe package - included a parafin wax and callus treatment. Sure, why not!When I asked about gel, she made it seem like it was included. Come to find out...it's $30 ($15 each) extra for my hands and feet. Oh...and they charge 3% to use credit card now too. Not so great service - Tech was super rough. Said ouch a few times throughout. They also use a cheese grater like tool for callus removal. Just read another reviewing stating this is illegal in California. I'm okay with prices increasing. If they had been transparent about the increase and service was up to par, I wouldn't have been so shocked and left feeling like I'd been ripped off. read more

I had a 11 am appt. for a pedicure. There were 3 workers helping 3 customers. The owner acknowledged me and said it would be 10 mins, which was understandable. Then another customer walked in, without an appointment and needed a nail fill. The owner started to take care of her and apologized to me. It would only be 10 mins. In the meantime I had my feet soaking in the footbath. When I had sat there for 40 mins, still waiting for the worker to finish, I was ready to leave. The worker finally came over to me and started my pedicure. I felt it was rushed, she painted over my cuticles, and it looked sloppy. I officially found my Pedi go-to. Been up and down Antioch and Brentwood for a good pedicures that would do my feet some magic and this location is my safe haven. I was recommended by my BFF and totally forgot the persons name I was recommended to, but I coincidentally ended up getting her. Bebe did a fabulous job on my feet and she did everything without having to ask her. If you ever get her, tip her well, cause she will take care of your claws. It was my 1st time here and I was impressed by how nice and inviting everyone was. We were seated right away and offered drinks. My sister and I got the gel pedicures. I liked the person who worked on my toes. My sister didn't like the person doing hers because she hurt her twice! OUCH! She was kinda rough and nipped her cuticles too deep. I guess you have to know who to go to. The woman next to us really wanted a specific person to do her pedicure but couldn't remember her name. She was hesitant to let someone else touch her toes. So sad that I have to update my 5 star rating down to a 1 star and I definitely will not be coming back First bad thing that happend is I got a fill done and I kid you not after I left one nail was already lifting so I drove all the way back and then about every 2 days I would break a nail and have to drive all the way back finally I just removed all my nails. I waited about 2 months and Mothers day came and I decied to go in for a gel manicure and a pedicure and my gel polish legit starting peeling off 3 days later. While I was there getting my pedicure the lady said I had toe fungus mind you I only come there for pedicures and I have never had fungus before the woman who was sitting next to me said wow I just had toe fungus also and I asked her if she came in often and she said she did. At that point I figured I got the toe fungus from the shop I don't know if the switched management or what but I will never return and tonight why I'm even writing this post my whole toe nail just came off ! Mother day was 8 days ago and my gel manicure is completely gone and now I'm missing a toe nail and my pedicure has already chipped. Your traditional nail salon. I made an appointment for 12:30 for a pedicure. The massage chair was nice and they put a plastic liner in the tub. The salon was a little hot, dusty and had cobwebs so my allergies started acting up. It was quite when I first came in but then they turned on some music. My nail technician was great. He used gloves and a Dremel to take off my nail polish instead of acetone which was different. He did a good job. The pedicure included the traditional nail care plus scrub, hot stone massage and hot towel finish. I just wished the scrub and massage part was a little bit longer. The paint job was incredible. I was there for about 45min and paid $27 and tipped $8. I'll come back for a nice pick me up and quick nail care. Thank you VIP read more

Today was the second time I've come here and I was very happy with my visit. I was promptly greeted and even though I had no appointment, I was able to get in immediately for a pedicure and a fill. Shi did a fantastic and very thorough job on my pedicure, which I really needed! Apparently my feet were suffering from the change in weather and needed an exfoliating bad! Lee proceeded to do my fill but when I explained the sort of art work I was hoping to get, he allowed Shi to once again finish the task of painting them. Since the pandemic started I was going to a very young girl in her early 20s who , a friend had recommended, who had her own little nail business out of her garage. She did a wonderful job on my nails I couldn't believe how good they turned out I've always loved rainbow nails & especially seeing all of the beautiful colors during Pride I knew these were up next for me. Now I got them done! They turned out really nice ... I shared a picture that I liked online with my nail tech and she did an even better job than the picture in my opinion, LOL! I didn't want to give this place a bad review because the two people who did my nails were so sweet and friendly. I'm going to break this up between my pedicure and manicure. The woman who did my pedicure seemed like she paid attention to detail.. She took very good care of my cuticles and gave a generous massage. However, the French tip pedicure was an absolute disaster. I have small nails to begin with so I can imagine it can be difficult to do just a French tip on such a small little pinky toe, but the quality of this paint job is horrendous. I've attached photos for reference to show you how my smallest two toe nails are so messy. She also didn't bother to clean the excess polish around my toe nails. Um.. do you not see that? Because the picture clearly shows the excess polish. My mom also had excess polish all around her big toes. It's not that hard to just wipe off with some acetone but they should do that? Update: I wrote this while I was waiting for my mom to finish. I asked my lady to fix it and she did. Though if I didn't say anything I would've walked out with this lol. As for my gel full set, I sort of knew from the start that it would be a nightmare. The man who did them just jumped right into sticking those acrylics on without really measuring to eye or paying close attention. What the heck? Every nail person I've had before that's given me a full set always notes my nails are smaller/shaped a little differently than the norm and pays close attention to what they put on my nails BEFORE they do so. These acrylics don't even cover some of my nails fully and that is my PET PEEVE. I understand if the acrylic won't fit perfectly but isn't that the purpose of the liquid and powder to go on top :(. I'm so so disappointed with how my nails aren't fully covered and you can literally see my natural nail. I didn't say anything because I can just be a shy person, but I really do need to speak up ASAP next time I'm unhappy with a job. Photos are attached. Once again, I never WANT to leave a bad review unless absolutely necessary. I really wanted to like this place. It's clean, the people are very nice, its pretty in here.. the quality just did NOT measure up. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The prices are average and job quality (at least from the two I had) does not measure up to any standard. You can definitely find a much better nail salon with higher quality jobs and potentially cheaper prices in the area based on my experience. I'm giving a generous 3 stars because my mom and aunt enjoyed their experiences, but I really would give a 2 based on mine. read more

All the nail prices in the Oakley, Brentwood, and Antioch area are exactly the same, but not all the places provide the same quality of service. VIP stand out for me, among all of the other nail spa's. I go to David (aka Lam) and he is amazing. I only needed to explain to him on my first visit what my preferences were for my nails and he understood. It's nice to just go in and not have to explain what I want and it turns out great every time. He is also versatile, so he can do so many different styles. I've been coming here for a while, have been a regular customer and have tipped the team here well during my appointments. Unfortunately today's experience was particularly bad. I always bring in my own polish, in this case new bottle of Essie. They use poor quality base coat or top coat, or product that doesn't match the type of nail polish (this was not a gel job). Had my nails done for a wedding, the results were ruined due to the mix of product. I had an arm wax after manicure while nails were drying so there was plenty of dry time. I wasted an hour of my time, not spending more time here having them fix it, going home to take it off and never coming back. Will find a more reputable place for future service. Point to the owner- if you want to be in the nail business have your staff learn how to do nails and know which products go with the type of nail polish being used! read more
