Very colorful place with a lot of pink and brightness. Bubble tea is fun, so the ambiance makes sense! Got the medium japanese matcha milk tea with boba at a 30% sugar level. The medium was quite a good size and they added plenty of boba. Gotta suck up all the boba! That's the fun part! The drink wasn't too sweet which I liked. They also have various slushies and fruity drinks. Great place to have dessert and fulfill your bubble tea craving. Always like how there is the plastic seal cover over the top which means you could just stab your straw through it. I think most bubble tea places have the plastic seal cover. I decided to try this place after eating hot pot a few doors down in the same strip mall, and it was pretty good. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because of the wings, I wanted to try them out, but did not like the flavor combination of the sweet glaze and the curry powder shaken on top. What I did enjoy was the oreo milk tea with cheese foam, it was very interesting, the more you drink it, the more I liked it. We drove there to pick up and waited about 40minutes inside the store AFTER they claimed that the food was ready. and this is the SECOND time that had happened to me on Ubereats, last time I ordered delivery, and the system had to change Three drivers because they claimed that the food was ready, and the driver drove there to pick up, but it was not ready, and every driver had to wait. the third driver waited 15min there and I called the driver to ask what's going on, and the driver told me that apparently this is a very COMMON thing Vivi does. they NEVER care about online orders and after drivers reach the store, they start making it and have them wait in their store until they make it. it's fine when you are busy or crowded, but DONT LIE about the food being ready. Vivi Bubble Tea is a tasty little spot in Fairfax. The popcorn chicken was very tasty -- 5/5 stars. We ordered the garlic popcorn chicken, and like others have said, the flavor was subtle. There were lots of pieces! The chicken was crisp on the outside but VERY moist on the inside. It was also impressively not oily. Not even the paper bag was greasy! We loved the little skewers ViVi provided; they provided a fun way to eat the chicken. The boba was 4/5 stars. I ordered the taro milk tea, and it had good taro flavor and not too much ice. My mother got the matcha slush with red bean; although it was a slush, there were cubes of ice in it, which was a little unusual. The drinks were on the smaller side for the price. Overall, ViVi bubble tea is a solid place to get bubble tea from! I ordered the Oolong milk tea which was very tasty (bubbles were a tad overcooked but still good). They had an extensive menu of milk teas, fruit teas, slushees, and even a few food options. The staff was friendly as well and had our orders out pretty fast despite the many orders they had (there were a couple minor mistakes in the drink orders of my party, probably because of the busyness though). I ordered an iced matcha tea with boba, which I had to apparently pay extra for, and it tasted gross. It wasn't sweet at all, even though I asked for it sweetened, and there were barely any tapioca in there. But my fat ass still drank it because I was thirsty. This place is great! I ordered the taro milk bubble tea with tapioca. I love that you can choose between different bubble options (tapioca, chia, etc.), AND they let you choose your sugar level (full sugar, 50%, 30%, no sugar, etc). I got my tea with 50% the sugar and it was plenty sweet. They make it fresh for you right there (it was so fun to watch them use the mixing machine!) and then instead of a regular lid insert they use another cool machine thingy that seals your cup! Waited 25 minutes for a hot taro milk tea. After finally getting it, the bubbles feel like slugs in your mouth, I dunno what they think "taro" is but theirs do not even taste like milk. They are lucky a kung fu tea isn't around close by. If you live in fairfax, take the extra trip to Reston or Centreville. Even on the busiest days, u won't wait more than 10. I came to try out this place after hotpot nextdoor. The shop looks really nice and clean. They do follow CDC guidelines and social distancing while doing their best assisting the customers. I got 4 drinks in total, pretty happy with the taste of the drinks. However the "tray" in the bag to hold the drink isn't doing a good job at it. The tiramisu milk tea wasn't sealed on the lid and they didn't give any warning. By the time I get to the car, it spilled in the bag and got on everything in the bag, ig was so sticky. They have an extensive drink menu with different types of teas and styles. My bestie got a strawberry slush with yogurt popping balls and she said it was delicious. I got the passion fruit slush with mango popping balls - yum! The consistency and taste were perfect and it was the refreshing treat we needed on a hot day. The interior design is vibrant and cute with lots of seating. They also have some appetizer treats which spelled good and also some cards and other games. Got the taro creme brûlée milk tea and it was absolutely amazing! They even used a burner to burn the top of the creme- something I've never seen done before for a bubble tea drink! Not to mention, the service was beyond great. The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful, and it was evident they cared about their customers and ensuring their drinks were perfect. I went with my friend to try the Jollypop bubble tea and the popcorn chicken. It costs about $13 for the both of them (prices seemed to have gone up). Adding the tapioca pearls/bubbles cost an extra 50¢ to be added to a drink (or maybe it was just the Jollypop?). The price of a medium/regular sized drink is almost the same cost as a Starbucks venti/large. The Jollypop was ok, it tasted pretty watered down so if you're interested you may want to add some extra sugar into it. The popcorn chicken was good, the price for it was $6.50 and it was a pretty good amount of chicken. I ordered the spicy flavor and it had a bit of a kick to it for sure. The seasoning tasted exactly like the one they would use for some pork dishes at a Chinese restaurant. However, the seasoning wasn't evenly distributed on the chicken pieces, some parts had no seasoning and some had too much. The overall atmosphere of the place was pretty nice. Very clean tables and chairs and friendly employees. Our orders came out pretty quick as well considering it was a bit busy.
