ONE OF THE FIRST BOBA SHOPS I VISITED WHEN I FIRST MOVED HERE, AND I STILL CONTINUE TO GO! * Price: Unfortunately, I think the prices have increased, but a small/medium with a topping is around $6.00, and a large with a topping is around $7.00. Snacks and bentos range from $5-$12. They occasionally offer deals and combos, so keep an eye out for those. * Food: I typically get a Thai tea or matcha at 30-50% sweetness. The drinks are on the milkier side, so it depends on your preference. My favorite food item is the popcorn chicken--especially the curry and garlic flavors! It's so crispy and flavorful! * Cleanliness/Setting: The interior is so cute! (Great photo op spot.) Their mascot/character theme is incorporated throughout the store. It's always clean when I've visited, and there's plenty of seating. * Service: The setup has changed to a kiosk-style system, where you grab your order when your number is called. The staff has always been helpful and willing to fix any issues with orders.
This place is adorable! The decor is super bright and cute, and the tea did not disappoint!
6/21/23 On 5/20/23, Here I am, Allured again, The Popcorn Chicken tastes hit me again. From the smell of garlic, There is no shred of doubt, The crispy chicken will melt in my mouth. I have but to order from this illustrious place, Oh heavens to Betsy it won't be a waste. You can order from the Kiosks if you wish, Just thinking about this popcorn is my number one wish. As Rachel Ray would say "it's so delish." Now Mister Trask fulfills my wish. "Endowed with wisdom, of judgement sound, nevertheless about him, the questions abound." And so I take my popcorn prize and size, I get ready for my car ride. Should I eat these tasty treats, I shall be back again you see. Vi Vi Bubble Tea, I order drinks for you and me. I eat the popcorn and wash it down. Music from Eminem is all a around. He's friends with the monster, That he says, Personally I fear it's all in his head. And so my friends I must conclude, Have some popcorn chicken, Then I'll snooze. This food is the bomb, And I want some more. Next week I'll have some, This I am sure.
YUM! I wish this place was closer to me. The tea was so refreshing and the popcorn chicken was delicious! Many different flavors of tea to choose from. The popcorn chicken comes out hot and crispy. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area.
Ive gotten boba drinks from here a couples time. The drinks are VERY sugary, I would recommend getting a bit less sugar rather than regular. The flaming brown sugar drink isn't that great, it was very sweet and tea tasted strange. The mango pomelo drink is a very fruity tropical drink which I somewhat enjoyed the mango and chewy toppings made it very enjoyable to drink. Their fruit tea is good as well, very refreshing. The waffle ice cream Oreo dessert was very delicious! Waffle was made fresh and very soft. Ice cream with Oreo was so delicious, very fun to eat with another person as well! I'll definitely get waffle ice cream again if I ever come back. Service is quick, drinks come out 5-7 mins even when it's busy.
Very cute bubble tea place that has an amazing selection of snacks as well. I placed an order for peach oolong tea with boba and less ice, and the spicy chicken popcorn. There was no one else in the story at the time that I placed the order so I received my drink quite fast and only had to wait approx 5-10 mins for the popcorn chicken. The sitting area was quite big and there was options to have booths as well so I had no trouble sitting and waiting while be socially distant. The boba was good, it wasn't too syrupy sweet like some other fruit teas and the boba were sweet and chewy. The chicken popcorn chicken was not very spicy though it was still flavorful, so I enjoyed both of my orders.
This location has been me and my junior yelper's spot for snacks. Right in our neighborhood, it's in a shopping center with convenient parking. My son loves the variety of slushies, and the basil popcorn chicken the best. I love the Thai milk tea and the pork over rice. Quick and convenient ordering on their tablet up front and lots of pictures so you can get inspired!
There's actually a tea place closer to me, but when we go out on Saturday nights, my family will choose this one. Why? There is sooo much seating! It's also a little quieter than most Kung Fus. I find those a little loud and chaotic. I feel like this Vivi is a good place if you're catching up with friends, or you're actually out to have a chit chat. They're always nice here. Really good customer service. Their menu is really big. I usually get the same things: taro milk tea or thai milk tea, and I've always been happy. Hub gets the oreo creme brulee. Kiddo gets whatever is super sour! This menu is probably the most creative of all the tea places I've been to so far. I do feel like there's something for everyone. Like most places you can also adjust ice and sweetness. So like I said, tons of seating which is nice if you're there to park and sit around. They have a handful of games to play. My hub and kiddo will hang out and play 2-3 rounds of chess. In the same strip mall is pho and an indian restaurant. Just FYI in case you want to check those out first and then have this be a "dessert spot".
Omg the taro cream brûlée milk tea was so yummy! Real taro chucks, super creamy. I saw someone commented on no taro taste. Well the common purple-colored taro milk tea is NOT real taro! This is! Love it! Just be mindful the taro is already sweetened so even 0 sugar is enough for me. Taiwanese bbq pork was always very good. Sweet and salty with crunchy skin. Fried tempura was good but not impressive. Definitely going back! Just a bit pricey
A spot that my sister took me to after the disappointing news of us not being able to try the Hot Pot spot just a couple stores down. This place is very bright and colorful. Came here on a Saturday evening and it was pretty crowded. A lot of people coming here and out and it seems like a popular spot for high schoolers(?) or near-by college students to hang out at (oh, I remember those days - haha). They were having a special of buying one and getting one free (on selected flavors) that days so we decided to try that. They did not have it listed on their board or the checkout, so that is something that you would have to ask the cashier about. From the looks of the picture (and the label), I ordered their signature ViVi Signature Fruit Tea and y sister got their 3Q Milk Tea. From there, you get to order the sugar level and ice level. I got 30% sugar and less ice and my sister got no sugar with regular ice. Even with the 30% sugar selected, my drink was still pretty sweet. Probably from all the fruits that it came in. Definitely, a cute spot and will most likely try again (with no sugar).
You can get the best of both worlds here! Bubble teas AND Taiwanese street foods! First time we came here months ago, we were full from hotpot next door (99 hot pot is great BTW) so we only got bubble teas. They have a great variety of drinks with some unique flavors and great choice of toppings. I noticed there was a food menu which prompted me to make a mental note to come back! So now I'm back and pleased that I actually remembered to return! Tried various menu items...popcorn chicken (spicy, curry, and garlic) chicken wings which was the standard salt pepper flavor. And a popcorn chicken bento which comes with your choice of flavor, soy sauce egg, rice with braised pork, and a small size of seaweed salad. The rice and pork topping reminded me of my childhood where you can purchase dinners at the train station in Taiwan! Loved it! And such a great price for 11.95. They also have a $10 combo deal for a popcorn chicken and large bubble tea! I think I will be returning very soon to try some other items as well as that yummy popcorn chicken! read more

I've been to bubble tea shops for the past 20 years, far and wide, from California to Taiwan, and as far as bubble tea shops go, this is the best I've found at Fairfax. I tried the Taro slush as a benchmark. It was flavorful but not too sweet. It was as thick as it should be. The Tako Yaki was a pleasant surprise. They have nice snacks there too. The ambience is nice and clean. The signs are easy to read in English and Chinese. There aren't any annoying screens showing K-pop videos. So you can have a nice time with the people you are with I really like the zombie hello kitty heads painted on the walls too. It is what Hello Kitty would be if she ended up in Coco's after life. I'm looking forward to coming back, which says something in my book. read more

Corn Nuts. I literally thought their JollyPop Milk Tea drink was topped off with Corn Nuts. Much to my relief it's actually Jolly Pop (or rather Jolly Pong), a Korean cereal snack that reminiscent of sweet rice puffs. After clearing that up, I soon discovered this drink is nothing to be afraid of. I ordered with boba and wow! The crunch of the Jolly Pong and the softness of the boba was such a nice contrast. The flavor and sweetness of the milk tea (25%) was perfect for me. I also had a chance to taste the Flaming Brown Sugar Bubble Tea with Boba and the Taro Creme Brûlée. At 100% sweetness, it was a little too much for my taste. Should I try again in the future, I'd simply adjust the sugar level because they were tasty otherwise. What was consistently good with each drink is the boba. ViVi Bubble Tea serve them warm which I love love love. It makes them all the more soft and compliments the cool of the milk tea itself. Love this place and I most certainly plan to go back to try more of their drinks. read more

Cute and colorful! I came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. It wasn't busy, but there were people coming in and out. You have the option to choose basic milk tea flavors along with slushees and the non-milk tea drinks. Add ins: tapioca, lychee, pudding, poppers, aloe Vera, etc. - basic stuff. Choose your sweetness and ice level. I think I saw them sell little finger foods too, but I can't remember what was listed. Overall, I like this place. I love it for its color and design. The drinks were mixed well and was the right amount of sweetness I asked for (30% sugar sweetness). I asked for less ice, so there was more drink than Ice - nice! I will be back to try more! read more

This bubble tea is fairly decent but if the two times I've been here, the drinks have been just ok. The signature fruit tea is good but laden with ice (I wasn't asked if I wanted any customizations which is standard everywhere else that serves bubble tea) and the passion fruit yogurt drink was very sweet, even to my standards as I have a fairly big sweet tooth. I'm definitely willing to try the other drinks but for now I will give this a 3 star review, nothing great but nothing bad from my prospective. read more

Good Taro Smoothie, sugar percentage options and fresh boba. Fast efficient and reasonably priced. The takoyaki had an ample amount of octopus in it, but the inside needed to be cooked a bit more. Great respite for a 100 degree afternoon. Would return to try other menu food items as well as all the very interesting flavor combinations. read more

It's so juicy and tender. Crispy batter, nice flavoring. It's huge and worth the price, massive size compared to regular Vivi's chicken cutlet. Really glad I stopped by and tried it when I saw their poster. This cheesy chicken might become everyone's new crush. read more

I randomly stumbled upon this bubble tea shop and thought it would be worth the try. The drink that I got was the Blue Galaxy. It was a blend of grape and lime that tasted pretty delicious and new, compared to every other tea shop in the area. But the other drinks tasted off(?), they don't exactly taste how they're advertised. My friend got the yogurt passionfruit, but I could hardly taste the passionfruit of the yogurt inside. It was just a weird drink that tasted like fruit. I also saw a lady walking out the store with a disgusted look on her face as she was sipping on her drink, guess it didn't match her palette. The inside is very spacious and aesthetically designed. Like all current, hip places, they had wall art and current music playing. The menu lists all the drinks but the descriptions are written in Chinese, so you would have to ask the workers about the drink ingredients. I think that this place has a lot of great drinks that I would be willing to try and experiment, but there are also drinks that might turn you off from this place. read more

A light environment, dimmed out lighting and outdated music. A very cute environment but mediocre items. My Medium Sized Passion Fruit slush came nice and compact. A nicely detailed and appealing cup that has you ordering for a larger size. Although the cup was appealing, the drink was unfortunately lackluster. The actual passion fruit was pleasantly natural, but the boba was bland and overcooked. The garlic popcorn chicken was overly seasoned. Too much salt was added in comparison to the "salt" and pepper popcorn chicken which was strangely much sweeter. The Takoyaki was nice and hot and I really appreciate the amount of bonito flakes they added. The charred and smokey exterior of the takoyaki was indeed pleasant. The amount of stars given was due to the lovely service and amount of time it took to produce the drink. I recommend the classic milk tea with boba. A new bubble tea shop to the Fairfax area! Just a few minutes drive from Old Town Fairfax, right next to pho and hot pot. This place has a really cute interior decor and makes for a nice spot to hang out. Having the hotspot and the pho next door really makes it a go to for some bubble tea after a hot meal. I ordered the limited time Watermelon Float and it was pretty good. This drink is made with fresh watermelons and less syrup so it was really refreshing and clean, however I'm not sure about the bubbles or their milk drinks. Their milk cap was nice and a bit salty (which is good if you like the salty milk caps) and was not a bad bang for your buck at $6.33 for a large size. Rather than the traditional sealed lid they use plastic lids for some of their drinks, which gives it a nice aesthetic. read more

One of the better boba + popcorn chicken places in the area. Flaming Brown Sugar MT has been inconsistent across visits, but when it's good it's great. Portion size for popcorn chicken was somewhat small, but the taste was there. read more

I came here for the first time yesterday. It was pretty empty inside and only one girl was working up front. The flaming brown sugar milk tea is SOO yummy. They literally torch the cream on the top so you get crunchy, caramelized pieces of cream (kind of like Creme brûlée) as you're drinking. It was a pleasant surprise and I did not expect that at all. I have a sweet tooth and even for me this was a bit on the sweeter side. Taking stars off because I asked the employee what she recommended and she told me she liked the milk green tea. I told her that I would get that but she made me a black milk tea instead. Also, my drink was not sealed properly and it kept spilling out and made my car sticky. read more

Definitely blows a lot of the bubble tea places out of the water in terms of space and customer service. I walked in thinking I was going to just get a drink, take a couple of pictures, and then go get work done somewhere else, but the atmosphere was so nice and bubbly that I decided to go back to my car to grab my laptop to get work done here. I got the green milk tea with boba & the octopus balls, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great they both were. What this place has is definitely an ambience to get work done casually, which I find is usually missing from traditional bustling bubble tea cafe's. I'm not sure how this will hold up when they get busier, but for now, I will definitely be back! read more

Was really excited when this place announced its grand opening, but was a little disappointed in the boba. While they have a large selection of unique flavors, I opted for the classic milk tea with boba (just to compare to other boba places in the area). I usually get 70% sugar but this lasted more like 50%. Just keep that in mind when you order! I'm also not a huge fan of the actual tapioca; was a little too soft for me. One thing that I did like was their popcorn chicken. It was super crispy and tasty. I got the garlic flavor but asked for a little spice powder because it was kind of bland originally. I'll definitely give this place another shot because their popcorn chicken was pretty good! But I think there are a lot of better options for boba in the area read more

Stopped by here for a quick pick me up, and got the brown sugar milk tea. Portion was decent for the price but there wasn't a lot of tapioca compared to other places I've had. Taste was also pretty decent, and I would visit again read more

Service was good ! The place was pretty empty when I went so I got my drink quick. I ordered the lactiad earl gray milk tea with boba ~ the drink tasted very watery and not much tea flavor. The boba texture was fine. read more
It was okay, I dove out of my way to come here but I probably wouldn't Do that again There's many great boba placess but now I can check this off my list. I'm looking for my "go to" boba spot!! Also, side note they were pricey! read more

Must try their popcorn chicken and BBQ sausage (Taiwanese style hot dog), they are so delicious! I also ordered the 3Q milk tea, to me I think it's just a little bit bland(not too bad). Overall, everything was pretty good. read more

In love with popcorn chicken!!!! The texture is AMAZINGLY perfect (crunchy and chewy outside, something like fried sticky rice) Love how they add their own touch on the foods! Forest floral tea with yogurt popping boba is a YES for me! sadly Vivi headquarter stops selling floral drinks even though they just put it on the menu for around just a year i think... Couldn't find the drink on their menu anymore read more

Too notch bubble tea with very unique flavor combinations. You can taste the difference with all ingredients sourced from Taiwan. You pay a little more for the quality, but it's so worth it for taste and quality. Also ordered the popcorn chicken - excellent and made to order. read more
