She also misrepresented plants she was attempting to sell me. The landscaping fabric used for a rock bed was very low quality, and Rubin admitted it wouldn't last. The crew rushed the job -- plants were placed incorrectly, holes weren't dug properly, and we ended up replanting about 20 ourselves, including large 7-gallon ones. Beds were barely weeded -- just covered with mulch. I was hoping to save some wear and tear on my body. Apart from all the digging I had to do to correct the poor quality installation, I continue to weed what is now popping through the mulch. We asked for a rate adjustment and were offered $100 off. Overall, the work was sloppy, communication was poor, and the final result was not worth the hassle or end result. I would not recommend this company.

Initially, my contact with the representative Todd Lipking was great and the communication was quick and responsive. Upon signing a Letter of Engagement and giving a deposit, stories changed, communication became spotty at best, and multiple dates of promise for scope of work and contracts being provided were broken. The date promised in the Letter of Engagement was broken by the company by almost 2.5 weeks or 11 business days. Multiple attempts at communication were not returned and finally was reached out to after being 'forgotten about.' The reviews and pictures of the work on Google do look good, and hopefully this is a one off for the company, but I would highly advise caution in dealing with a company that practices business like this especially when projects are of the magnitude and cost they are for custom built-ins and the like.

TERRIBLE!! STAY AWAY!! Our family purchased an item that they had to order (not one mention of it…read morebeing a custom order). Once we got it home, it was determined the new fireplace wouldn't work for our space and we had to return it. They are charging a 20% restocking fee!!! Never once did they say anything about it being a "custom order/20% restocking fee." I tried to understand why the restocking fee; they said it was to mail the fireplace back. WAIT!!?? It's going to cost them $500 to mail it back to the manufacturer?? I offered to pay the shipping to return it to the manufacturer if that was the issue. They weren't interested in that; they want to collect their $500 "RESTOCKING FEE." We have done a lot of business with this place in the past. In fact, this past Spring, we purchased a large chimenea that is already cracked straight up the middle. It's ready for the trash. This place sure has gone downhill over the last 5 years that we've made purchases with them.
