The best receipe of Espresso Martini
Keith D.

**When a Simple Drink Becomes a Saga** Dining out should be a pleasant experience--a chance to unwind, enjoy good food, and sip on your favorite drink. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Vittoria proved that even the simplest requests can turn into a frustrating ordeal. The evening started with promise. My friends and I, a group of six, sat down at our table, ready for a good time. The server, an older gentleman who didn't bother to introduce himself (let's call him Clyde), approached to take our drink orders. I handed over my trusty drink card--a foolproof recipe for my favorite Espresso Martini. I created this card to ensure consistency and clarity, not to mention sparing bartenders the guesswork. Simple, right? Wrong. What arrived at the table was a disaster. Instead of my carefully crafted Espresso Martini, I was served something resembling a Chocolate Martini, complete with shaved ice floating in the glass. It was unrecognizable and undrinkable. Politely, I sent it back and explained to Clyde that it was completely wrong. When he returned with the second attempt, things took an even stranger turn. As he handed me the drink, his chewing gum fell out of his mouth and landed on the floor. Yes, you read that correctly--his gum. Mortified, Clyde scurried away without so much as an apology or follow-up. My friends, trying to lighten the mood, asked if someone had lost a tooth and whether I enjoyed my drink. Spoiler alert: I did not. Determined to salvage the situation, I went to the bar and spoke directly to the bartender. I explained that my drink was still incorrect. Her response? A curt, "I've made it twice according to YOUR card. You can drink that or order something else." The audacity left me stunned. A hush fell over the crowded bar as they watched this embarrassing exchange. At this point, I gave up and ordered a Gin and Tonic--surely even this place couldn't ruin such a simple drink. While the food was passable, the service left a lasting impression--and not in a good way. This experience was a stark reminder of how critical customer service is in the hospitality industry. A little professionalism and attentiveness go a long way. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this establishment anytime soon. If you can't make an Espresso Martini right after being handed a recipe card, then perhaps it's time to reevaluate your priorities--or at least your staff training program.

I can here with a friend who invited me, she told me marvelous things about it. We had a fantastic time there! The place itself is beautiful and very clean. The staff there from the hostess, to the waiter, to the bartender were all just lovely and very professional. Our waiter was very well versed on the menu and was very helpful with all our questions. I had the Vittoria Salad which was so tasty and full of flavor. For my entree I had the sea bass which was TOO DIE FOR. It was absolutely amazing, it was flaky, flavorful, perfectly cooked, the risotto it was sitting in was absolutely phenomenal. Then for desert I had their cannoli which I shared a few bites with my friend and we were both raving about it! If you have not been here yet, you must!

We had a nice time! It's quite loud in the main dining room, request to sit in a side room if this is not your vibe! The service was plentiful, they have someone who gets waters, a server, and server assistants. The food was good we had fried calamari, crème brûlée, seafood Vitoria, and veal piccata.

Seafood Vittoria definitely my favorite!

Had a great time tonight at dinner. It was packed. There was a live singer at the bar area. We got a couple drinks to start. And then I got the veal parm which came with pasta. My spouse got the chicken Rosa too. They were both good dishes and every filling. Very large portions! I highly recommend the tiramisu. That was delicious!!!

The service and the ambiance are really nice here. We came on a Saturday night and there was live music. The food was okay, not spectacular. If you are looking for more flavor this isn't the place. The seasonal bread pudding was really fruity (with lots of raisins). The chocolate molten cake didn't really have lava.

I absolutely love this spot for Italian or even a great steak! You feel like family dining here. The fireplace and live pianist really elevate the experience further. You can't go wrong with a menu item here. From the giant meatballs to fresh pasta and the loaded Buckeye steak. Everything is always phenomenal. Don't forget a great wine selection, cocktail, and dessert!

Gallos Pizza - Man, what the hell is this?! Totally weird margherita

I chose the bridge park special, which was a pizza with an olive oil base mozzarella cheese with a basil pesto over it. Grilled chicken and grilled onions. The chicken taste like rubber. I did not eat it after the first piece didn't trust it. It's very hard and chewy. The rest of the pizza had a good flavor. It was served a little too hot, but considering it was 3 o'clock, I was glad it was heated thoroughly. There was a lot of olive oil on it. It was a very greasy piece of pizza you needed an extra napkin. Service was excellent. The man that took my order was pleasant and he even brought my pizza to where I was sitting that was appreciated and a surprise. As far as ambience, there's like patio twinkle lights on the top. It's a big food hall so the seating is shared among all the vendors again I was there at 3 o'clock. There was maybe two other patrons it's not a very popular time. Would it come back? Sure I would just come back closer to 12 when the pizza was guaranteed fresh I feel this might've been sitting for a while. This would've been a four or 4 1/2 star piece of pizza had the chicken, thin tender Instead, I had to go with a three cause it was neither wonderful nor was it awful. It was just good. Again, I would come back... And will. And when I do, I hope I can give it a higher score.

UPDATE: After since I ate (only some) of this, my stomach has been upset for 2 days. I regret…read moreeating any of this weird food. Not food poisoning, just stomach upset. I want to start by saying, normally this is a pretty good spot. Lately, man idk what is going on. I got the strangest margherita pizza I have ever had, and a cheese and pepperoni that was also kind of weird. There is almost no cheese whatsoever on the margherita, and it was dehydrated too, which was also unusual. The cheese and pepperoni one was fine I guess, but there was a solid layer of pepperoni beneath the cheese, which made the texture benefit super wet. Again, all just kind of off. Service is good; not a freestanding location and it's inside the Bridgepark north market. I can't say if I would come back or not? Perhaps if I saw a tastier looking item walk by that was ordered from here. Posting a photo of one of the slices.

Their thin cracker crust pizza was reminiscent of our beloved Flammekuechen we enjoyed while on our honeymoon in Switzerland. But set your expectations as this is a thin crispy crust kind of place--not a raising dough kind of crust. I chose build your own with black olives and sausage (The sausage was delicious, huge chunks of real Italian sausage) &the hubby got the boneless buffalo. Also snacked on some of the best fried pickle chips I have had! All washed down with a peroni beer.

Note - it is typically very busy and you may have a wait. Their Pizza is thin and crispy - probably the thinest and crispiest in the area. Thinner than Tommy's, Donatos, or Flyers. Stopped in last night for a casual bite and enjoyed the salad bar and two good Pizza's; Pepperoni and a White Spinach. Both were good (I would say not great, as limited sauce on both and just a little too thin for our liking. Salad bar is very simple but hits the spot. Waitress and hostess were great and very polite. Depending on your party - request the bar area if more adult group with conversation and fun in mind; as the atrium/patio area can be very loud with just a few young pizza lovers around. Recommend salad bar and pepperoni - simple is better here. Parking on 3 sides but be cautious as neighbor businesses are sensitive to share. Thanks for a good night.
