The waitress also threw out our leftover steak but still boxed up our pasta... If you order a 46$ steak you expect it in the box with the leftovers when you leave... very disappointed. Growing up from an Italian area (Youngstown) You know what good Italian food is, this is not it. The sauce was sweet. We got the sausage, peppers, and onions as an appetizer and it was one link cut in half and then split, for $9 don't waste your time. The portions for our entree's were good (chicken parm) but you could taste the oil in the breading, and I am not a fan of that. The atmosphere and people who work there are wonderful though. Great food and really cool atmosphere. 2 indoor fireplaces in the main dining room made it very cozy. We really love this place. Their food is quite good. Their house salad is amazing and there actually isn't a dish there that we haven't liked. Carlo is an amazing waiter. This restaurant is consistently good each and every time we visit. It is a special treat each and every time we go. It was enjoyable that the waitress remembered that I love to take a dessert, cannoli, home to enjoy with my coffee the next morning. My wife and I have been here a couple times and it is very nice option for us in Powell. The service is great and all the staff is super friendly and attentive. The only reason I give them 3 stars is because the food is not 4 or 5 star worthy. The menu is creative and the specials sounds amazing however, they miss on the mark on delivery. We went for the Mother's Day buffet. The food was very mediocre. Some of it didn't taste homemade. Some of the meat was tough. For the price we paid it wasn't worth it. It is a nice setting though. Absolutely TERRIBLE service. My salad showed up about 30 seconds before my entree, so I asked them to box up the salad, so my food wouldn't get cold. We waited numerous times for our drinks. At the end of the meal, there was no to-go salad as there should've been. I reminded the server, and he just laughed like I was kidding. I told the manager of my frustration, and she acted like she couldve cared less. I visited Vittoria's a short while back and have to say that I was impressed. Good food, good atmosphere, good service, good times.

An upscale atmosphere, with friendly and welcoming hosts and hostesses, and wait staff that were personable, engaging and knowledgeable about menu choices. Our table was visited by three different staff, seeking assurance that all was well, that our meals were prepared as ordered and that all of our expectations were met. The quality of the food may be the best Italian I've had: I ordered the Veal Piccata...which was prepared to perfection; my dinner mate ordered the Vegetarian Penne...which she said contained more vegetables than she had imagined. If there were one disappointment, it would be that I didn't notice much diversity in staff or patrons. I believe that I was the only "brown" face there, which is always a bit disconcerting. All-in-all, however, it was a great experience. I am, certainly, looking forward to my next visit! read more

Vittoria Ristorante & Bar deserves five stars across the board and I only came in here for appetizers and drinks. Came in here on a Saturday night a little after seven and sat at the larger table in the bar as most of the bar tables are set for two people and we had a party of three. We had a few round of drinks; Manhattan with Makers, Makers-rocks, house Pinot Noir, and a local (Hoppin' Frog) IPA. For appetizers we ordered the Hummus Trio, the Meatballs (not on the menu and comes with three), the Bruschetta, and the Wedding Soup. We all enjoyed the appetizers. I especially liked the Meatballs and the Hummus Trio. Both were well prepared and well seasoned. It's important to note that they do have some additional items that are not on the menu, including the meatballs and meat and veggie flatbread pizzas. Our bartender/server was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, and even added some enjoyment to our evening. Some people do not like interactive bartenders, but I thought she did a wonderful job! I definitely recommend the bar here and I hope to come back for a full dinner soon! read more

My wife and I ate here for the first time on 6/17/2013. The dining room was around 1/3 full, and the service was very prompt. We were seated right away, and our server took our drink orders within a minute. He also brought out the fresh bread and olive oil, and it was great. The bread was piping hot and very fresh. Crust was just stiff enough so that it crunched when squeezed, but not so much that it hurt your mouth. The olive oil was also very good, with more of a green olive flavor than most I've had. We opted for the bruschetta as an appetizer. It was ok, but a couple of the bread pieces were very hard, like almost felt like my tooth would chip, hard. My wife selected to have the house salad, and our server graciously offered to split it, since he said the salad was rather large. It was great: not too much dressing and a good mix of greens. For our main courses, we chose the filet mignon and lasagna. The filet was cooked just as my wife had ordered, and was very flavorful. It came with a red wine sauce, green beans, and mashed potato. All were delicious. The lasagna was served piping hot (a definite plus for me), and also was excellent. We had no room for dessert, so I'll have to report on that at our next visit. Overall, I would highly recommend Vittoria to friends and family. read more

We have visited this establishment many times. Always good service, friendly staff great food. We visited last night as a walk in as we normally do. When we asked the hostess for a table for 2 with no reservations she said they were not taking walk ins. Not even an estimate of wait time was given. I could see literally 15 open tables. I asked about the open tables and the hostess said they were all reserved. We decided to sit at the bar and about 20 minutes later, still 15 open tables. I then asked the manager if we could get a table and he said those tables were all 6:45 reservations. At 7:00 PM there were still 10 open tables. We decided to eat at the bar and when we left, at 7:30, over an hour after arriving, still 7 open tables. The manager and hostess seemed to care little about taking care of a couple that simply wanted to have dinner. The lame explanation of why there were no tables available still baffles me. Hopefully the place gets its act together with the new owners. read more

this place is probably one of hte best options in columbus. it's totally great for powell, but i think even for columbus it'd be worth the drive. drinks are great and calamari is very good. it's not easy to be impressed by italian i don't think and this does it without oversalting or being too greasy. it's far larger than it looks from outside. the decor is over the top, but it's kind of nice oddly. i'd definitely go here again and am sad they aren't open later on sundays. read more

A very bad experience. The food poisoning kicked in 4 hours after dining. Horrible cramping, diarrhea, sweats. It lasted about 5 hours until I was finally flushed out. I went back the next morning to tell the manager politely that there might be a problem in the kitchen. He was dismissive and impolite, not their problem, couldn't be caused by their food. Another member of our party also became ill after dinner, but not as severe. I'll never go back. read more

I agree with another review - Vittoria and Vittorio delivered again. We went for Easter brunch and if you could eat 4 plates of food - we would have!!! Everything was absolutely delicious. The lasagna, meatballs, chicken, vegetable strata, prime rib, ham and salads, antipasto were off the charts.....you can tell perfection....and having Vittorio there makes the difference. Quite frankly, we follow him everywhere. We had the creme filled almond cake, chocolate cookies and the cannoli for dessert and I teased my mom (and said - how much can your purse hold) - it was so good. Vittoria has a little good and a lot bad; overall it is not up to par with other options. The food is good--the seafood stew special they had was really good. That is where the good ends. The place is an identity crisis in motion. The decor is trying to be upscale, but doesn't quite pull it off. The rest of the experience, particularly the service, definitely doesn't pull off upscale. Our server would literally walk right up to our table and immediately interrupt someone mid-conversation. Even the servers at Applebee's stand there and wait! The servers at restaurants Vittoria is trying to compete with stay out of the area until the right time. When someone needed another drink or something else, the waitress was nowhere to found, and when she did pass in the area the standard cues to get her assistance were ignored. Her attitude was also poor. I brought my wife and a business associate and his wife there for dinner and was embarassed. I should add that I very rarely complain about service--so for me to write this review took HORRIBLE service. Luce, just up the street, is miles better -- better atmosphere, better service, and better food. read more

My wife and I love this place and have never had a bad meal. I would recommend them to anyone especially the homemade lemonciello martini which is my wifes favorite. All pasta is homemade and very tasty. The item on the menu that I have had and didn't care for was there Gnocchi which were a little dense and the sauce was overly sweet with lobster and corn. We have been to Vittoria probably 5 times in the last few years, and each time has been wonderful. Food and drinks are great, but the service is exceptional. The owner is one of the jewels of this place, and can be seen checking on customers and adding a personal touch whenever he can. He kind of makes you feel as if you were invited to an Italian grandfather's kitchen table. At our last visit, it was my 93-year old great-aunt's birthday. While he was talking to us, it was mentioned that it was her birthday, where he complimented the birthday girl and sent a round of lemoncello for the table. We have been to many of the best places in Columbus, but never feel so welcome as we do here. read more
