This was my first visit here, when my Realtor treated my wife and I to dinner after we closed on our house. Dining here was a wonderful experience and we now have a new local place for celebratory meals. The atmosphere is very classy, the owner greeted us, stopped by during the meal. and held the door for us on the way out, which was all quite unexpected for a restaurant this size. The service was excellent, and the food was amazing - perfectly prepared, presented attractively, and incredibly flavorful. The menu is smaller and the prices higher than what is found at the chain restaurants, but this experience is far superior. I think this is my first 5-star review. My wife uses a Rollator, and had easily managed the round trip between the parking lot and our table without needing any assistance or special accomodation. read more

I took my wife there last Friday night for dinner. We did not have a reservation but they were able to get us in quickly. The waitress was great and pleasant. Service was timely. The owner was doing it all. Bringing food to tables, greeting the diners including us, and personally greeting a lot of regulars. The musician that night, Andrew Waters, was excellent. We enjoyed listening to him and spent some time talking to him. I had the Lazagna which amazing. My wife had Chicken with artichokes and cream sauce which she loved. We will be back. read more

While it isn't the Italian food i'm used to or prefer, it is clear that it is high quality and that care and effort is put into each dish. Our table got the crab cakes, wedding soup, chicken parm and eggplant parm. The crabcakes didn't knock my socks off but they were presented well and had good consistency. The wedding soup tasted more like chicken soup with meatballs. My chicken parm was easily the best i've had in Columbus. We both thought the eggplant was really mushy. It still tasted good, but again not what i'm used to and probably wouldn't get it again for the price. Pasta also tasted very grainy (made on site), which I can respect but don't prefer. Service was top notch, and the decor is great (I was impressed with the high ceilings). Vittoria does not go easy on the wallet, but it also feels like you're in a place that is worth the money. Price and distance make going here regularly improbable, but I think it would be a great location to take a date or have a special dinner. Esp the date angle since you can hit Menchies on the way back down sawmill. I would have to say this is the best Italian I've had in Columbus so far. read more

Huh, so I thought the exceptional service we had was because we were there for a special occasion but I read through some reviews and this is where Vittoria really shines on a regular basis. We've been there a few times and the food has always been great, same with the service. So I took my daughter there before our Father/Daughter dance. I didn't make a reservation because I expected to be there fairly early. However we were running late and when we got there they were full. The hostess' greeted us, took a moment to compliment my daughter on her dress and were really considerate. I explained we didn't have reservation and asked if they could do anything for us, one went to see and came back a minute later with who turned out to be the owner. After introducing himself to my daughter and I he set up a special table for us. In all honesty what he did was put a white linen table cloth on a high top in the bar area but I gotta tell you my date felt absolutely special. I could not have been more grateful. We had a fantastic diner. The food was great and since they knew we were in a hurry the service was very attentive but not rushed. We really enjoyed it. read more

I won a couple gift cards for Restaurant Week and decided to treat a friend to dinner here. Upon entering, the atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming- as any Italian restaurant should be. Our server was young and shy, but excellent. The only thing that threw me off was that we weren't given or offered the Restaurant Week menu upon being seated. Other restaurants really highlight the event and we had to ask for it. Nevertheless, we ordered the prix fixe three courses : I chose the calamari, caesar salad and shrimp & sausage arrabbiata. I am normally not a huge calamari fan, but it was fantastic. The caesar salad wasn't anything extra special, but shrimp & sausage arrabbiata was delicious. I would have personally liked the vodka sauce to be spicier, but the pasta was perfect and it was a rich, satisfying dish. My friend ordered the bruschetta and veal alla sorrentina, the former seeming to be a small portion considering the heaping amount of calamari I was given (not that we needed more with the three courses and bread, but I digress). The veal dish was great even though that is not my kind of meal. Overall, it was a delicious and relaxing dining experience. Vittoria is a little pricey for college students, but it seems like one of the best Italian places in Columbus. read more

We recently ventured to Vittoria for my birthday dinner and by the sound of the name I was for sure thinking I was going to divulge in some awesome Italian. After reviewing the menu, I opted for a non-Italian dish and ordered the Filet with some kind of cheese sauce over mushroom ravioli. Fantastic! I definitely like my meat pink and ordered it medium rare. It simply melted in my mouth. My boyfriend ordered Crab Alfredo (which btw is not on the menu) and it was also very delicious. Wine selection was decent along with the prices - there were a few reasonably priced bottles and also a few high roller priced bottles with a little of everything in between. The atmosphere is romantic, but the ceiling is a bit high and coupled with the openness of the room - the noise level decreases the romantic aspect a wee bit. Overall, it was a good experience and a trip back will definitely be in our future. read more

We were apprehensive to have her special dinner at a restaurant we had not yet visited and went completely off word of mouth and reputation. Now we know why so many people speak so highly of Vittoria's. The service, the food, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, absolutely all was beyond amazing! Went with friends for the first time last night. The first turn off was the music was way too loud at the entrance. We like live music but for the small area in the front it was too much, luckily we sat toward the rear of the large dining room. We sat 10 to 15 minutes with no waitress. The owner came by and said hello and had to find our waitress! We ordered calamari that could have been cooked longer and the marinara for it was runny. I had a house salad. Saturated with dressing. I sent half of it back. The amount of oil in it pretty much ended anything tasting good the rest of the night. I also had sea bass which was OK but the sauce did not sit well with the salad dressing. I would also like to add, in this pandemic, there is no way the guy filling your water glass should be touching it with his bare hands! Not sure if I have been any place recently where they would pick it up to fill it. Everyone at Eddie Merlots wears gloves. My buddy had the lasagna and it was mush. After waiting 15 minutes to get our bill paid we were glad to leave. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and service for the prices. We won't be back read more

We have been wanting to go to Vittoria for a long time, as we had heard it was very good. We finally made it there this past Friday during Restaurant Week. In net, we were VERY disappointed because the food, ambiance and value were very mediocre at best. Although our server was quite young, he did a very nice job except his knowledge of the menu was lacking. (We noticed that much of the staff appeared to be rather young and inexperienced.) We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was quite good (tender and tasty; the one thing we would order again), but the rest of our food was no where near the caliber you would expect from a nice restaurant and at the prices you pay here. Ravioli was very unimpressive, and the meatball that came with it was tough. The eggplant parmesan also was very unimpressive. The red sauce served with both dinner plates was abundant (and they gave us a side of extra red sauce at no additional charge, which is nice), BUT the red sauce was bland and tasted like it was out of a jar. Everything about the dinner tasted like it was frozen and heated in an oven, as opposed to homemade, let along with any flare. We can make much better Italian food at home. Sorry to say we will NOT be back; nor would we recommend this restaurant. There are many first rate options in the Columbus area for around the same pricing (or less), so no need to waste your evening or money here. read more

We hosted a 50th anniversary party for 20 people 2 weeks ago. It was my first time there. As a service snob (and author on the subject) I was blown away. Ryan took care of us (aka Bradley Cooper). The owner also spent time with us, welcomed us as family (and introduced his family) made special arrangements for the cake, drinks etc. Food was great all the way around. I was in town for my sisters wedding and the post rehearsal dinner was held here. Now, to be totally honest, I actually find it difficult to express in human language the entire eating experience that I had at Vittoria. I know that Apostle Paul speaks of "Tongues of Angels", in the hymn to love.......thus, in my opinion, maybe the Angels language could adequately convey to the masses just how great this place was for me tonight. Unfortunately I can't speak Angel, so you will have to rely on my humble account in basic American english. Upon arriving I noticed a sizable crowd already seated. I however was headed to the special celebration/event room that was booked separate. As I walked back I noticed a stunningly professional staff and greeting team. The walls were decorated with some kind of secured candle stacking and the lighting in the celebration room was perfect. We began with great appetizers consisting of thick shrimp, some kind of bread disks topped with top quality cheese, sauce and spices. Also a bruschetta tray, olives, peppers and more high quality cheese were served. Then more bread was brought out, with pats of butter. I ordered the house salad, which consisted of the healthiest looking mix of salad leaves imaginable, mingled with the proper amount of dressing. This set the stage for the main course, which for me was the pork chop, green beans and potatoes. And this is where it got interesting. The pork chop was the thickest, most delicious and savory pork chop I have ever eaten. And I mean "ever" as in my entire life. This pork chop, and I do not lie to you, could compete and beat most steaks I have eaten on taste, texture and finish ..........it was truly that good. I did ask for Tabasco, because I am a hot sauce kind of guy. And they did bring a small bowl with a tiny spoon that was perfect for applying just enough of the sauce to compliment the dish. To finish the evening trios of cannoli were brought out for each guest. Before I collected my dessert I did visit the men's room and found it to be clean and reassuring. Everything about the place is authentic, the staff top notch and the experience for me like unto something out of a movie or fairy tale..... ......except it was real. The manager was around, went to the table next to ours several times, but never visited/checked in our table. We ordered steak, lamb and pasta...delish. Waited forever for everything. The first problem I had with this restaurant, is that I have gray hair so they first tried to stick me in a table in front of the kitchen, but a lot of restaurant try that with me. I refused to sit there. I ordered my ribeye medium, it came. almost RAW and cold. Sent it back, it came bAck OK cooked but tough. Of course my dining partner was almost done with her dinner by then. Waitress was very inattentive so it took a while to get our meal together. Nick did offer to compensate my meal but I wasn't after a free meal,I just wanted him to know that sometimes things aren't perfect. Probably won't go back. read more

The owner then came out to the table and lectured our group on their policies even though it was the fault of his improperly trained employee. My new favorite place to dine in Central Ohio. The food is absolutely amazing as is the service. Being a vegan it is not always easy to find a place that will accommodate a vegan. They have a fabulous pasta dish with olive oil and kalamata olives. I ordered side of sauteed mushrooms to add to the dish. It was amazing. My husband is hooked on the ravioli. You can taste the care they take with their food. The eggplant parmesan is big and rich and the cheese is the only thing you will need to cut with a knife--the eggplant is so tender. We have been here for dinner and for a private event. The staff is always helpful and will go out of their way to make your time their pleasurable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the bar service. At this level of dining, wine bottles need to be opened at the table. Twice we have had servers open bottles of wine elsewhere (I am assuming at the bar) and they have brought the wrong bottle's. We weren't sure if this is their way of up-selling or getting rid of old bottles. On a positive note. When we did say something to the manager, they brought the correct bottle. read more
