I spilled coffee on my laptop keyboard two weeks ago. Within about five minutes I was getting an error message. I called around to different computer service centers the PC Service Center gave me the most affordable quote. $85 for a simple cleaning. If there were shorts and I needed new parts they would simply charge me for the parts above the $85. So the 85 was a simple flat rate for the labor on the entire job. nothing hidden. i knew upfront what all the charges would be. It turns out that my computer did not need new parts so all I paid was the $85 for the cleaning (thank you!!). This was far and away the best price. The next closest was drop zone (california location). They would've charged me $90 for a diagnostic. Then that $90 would've been put towards the repairs/cleaning; im pretty sure they would've charged me over 90 for the cleaning, tho. Everything else was much higher after that. I was getting quoted $150 and $200 from all the other PC repair places in Reno/sparks, and some of them were not very transparent or forthcoming about pricing over the phone. PC service center does have a lot of work, so you might have to wait a few days to a week simply because they work in order received. i highly recommend this business. No need to go anywhere else unless you want something overnighted. They also have laptops for sale if yours is busted. Prices look like they range from about $300 and higher. Their store is cool. They have old Macintoshes and other tech on display for decoration.

Two weeks later they tell me they can't fix it because the part doesn't exist to order anymore. That was a big fat lie. What they should've said is we are not authorized by Apple to fix your computer. That's because only certified Apple repairmen can get the Apple parts for their MacBooks. These guys wasted my time and LIED! They will waste your time too just to make a buck. Don't go here! A guy had told me a couple months prior not to go here but I went anyway because it was convenient. I got screwed. Listen to me this time. Don't go there!! The jerk was very rude too.

On May 14, 2026, I called Reno Computer Fix in desperation because after transferring data from our…read moreold computer to a new one, and working with several other tech services, I still did not have Microsoft Outlook installed correctly on our new computer. Without going into too much boring detail, my husband and I have an unusual email/Outlook configuration - same email address, two formats, three devices, etc., and I had lost all my Outlook folders - arrgh! I requested a home visit so I would have all the information that might be needed at hand. Within a few hours, owner Justin returned my call and said he would be at my home the next morning. He showed up on time, patiently listened to my non-tech explanation of our Outlook goals, and went right to work. With expert tech skills on his side and held breath on my side, and both of us occasionally crossing our fingers, Justin worked his magic and Outlook was configured for our needs (even better than it had been before) and I got all my Outlook folders back - YAY! The visit lasted two hours - about one hour was for the Outlook concern and the other hour was filled with small fixes and reorganizations that most 12-year-olds could manage but that I either did not know how to do or was afraid of the consequences if I tried. The price was very reasonable and the work was excellent. If you need help with anything computer-related, contact Reno Computer Fix first. Justin was able to fix what three other tech businesses could not.
